The first coup to be plotted was carried out by the ibos who killed several tribes' leaders (Akintola, Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Balewa e.t.c) save for theirs.
Afterwards, the ibos in the North kept mocking the Hausas who were still mourning their lost leaders. The Ibos made different posters/songs with provocative statements like 'the goats are crying', the ibos will continue to dominate e.t.c.
When the Hausas couldn't take it anymore, they implored Ironsi to prosecute the coup plotters, who should have be executed by law but Ironsi refused to do such because they are his kinsmen. The annoying part of it was that Ironsi put the coup plotters in an eastern prison! Imagine ibos coup plotters being jailed in the east where they had access to their families while other prisoners were taken far away from home. Another thing is that these coup plotters were only in the prison during the day but were seen partying/visiting their family at night... This act coupled with the provocative statementss by the ibos in the North irked the Hausa more.
Eventually, the hausas had enough and plotted their own coup which culminated into Ironsi and some ibo leaders death. Ibo cried foul like they always do and started killing the hausas living among them in the east.
The hot-headed North retaliated by introducing their progroms which led to the death of many ibos among them. As usual, the ibos cried foul and declared their stup!d biafra which would have been handed to them if they didn't set their greedy eyes on Benin, Delta, Lagos e.t.c for their biafra.
These stupid biafrans invaded, killed and bombed several people on the street of Ore, Benin and Lagos, and you still wonder why ibos were dealt with? You're a big möron. You ibos need to get your thinking out of the box and stop playing the victim card 'cos you people are worse than the devil.

2.ojukwu released him from prison in 1967.
3.he betrayed ojukwu by not seceding with the west.
4.he planned another coup in 1987,he wanted to overthrow IBB.
5.lateef jakande betrayed him by exposing him.
6.IBB gave him 3 options 1.court marshal.2.go on exile.3.go to prison.
7.it was gathered that he saw that those options will be heavy for him.
8.he decided to commit suicide.
It know that they won't tell you the truth.
Take a look again:
1.a yoruba man named ADEGBOYEGA was among the senior officials that plotted the 1966 coup.
2.the coup didn't lead to the civil war,the failure of gowon to implement the aburi accord which both him and ojukwu signed led to the civil war.
3.the aburi accord was aimed at 1.ensuring peace and stability in the country.2.grant of regional control of resources.3.stop the incessant killing of the innocent easterners e.t.c.
4.the federaral forces were the first to attack the biafran forces.
5.the biafran forces headed to the west because the seat of power as of then was in the west(lagos)and also it's were the forces fighting biafra troops were been sent from.
6.the biafrans didn't attack civilians while conquering ore and the mid west.if you doubt me go and read soyinka's book about the civil war.
7.the biafran troops were more fierce than the federal troops that's why they fought without red cross and also killed over 15,000 federal forces while federal forces killed less than 6,000 biafran soldiers.go and figure it out
8.the igbos are not crying for aguiyi ironsi because he brought his death upon himself by not trying the coup plotters instead he jailed them.

I've seen the whole SE except Imo. When we travelled to Calabar for excursion, we passed through Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi, Abia states.. Only Enugu was presentable, the others were either dirty or barren. My lovely Ak city (Akure) beats them by far. That's not to mention Lagos, oyo and Ogun states which are metropolis cities.
