I think this is one of the reasons some people calls this country a zoo,the ban was very success in libya,a country in which islam is over 94% of its population but in nigeria where islam is not more than 54% of the population is finding it hard to ban hijab. |

Politics › Re: 10 Countries That Are Smaller Than Biafra Yet Better Than Nigeria. by Herald47(op): 3:02pm On Nov 25, 2015 |
Rossikk: Wrong. It depends on how developed a country is, at that point in time, which is not necessarily a reflection of its govt. A large population can make it more difficult to cater to all. There are hundreds of millions of illiterates and malnourished slum dwellers in India, despite that country being one of the fastest developing in the world. Hence you can list hundreds of small countries that are "better than" India, to use the op's naive, unschooled terminology. Fact is when comparing developing countries you MUST distinguish between the small nations and the large ones, or you're being thoughtless and ignorant. The smaller nations will generally have less problems than those with hundreds of millions of people. so you mean that countries with smaller populations should be better than those with bigger populations?,ok,the following is a list of countries with high population yet better than nigeria; 1.china 2.india 3.U.s.a 4.brazil 5.indonesia 6.japan 7.Russia 8.Egypt 9.mexico 10.south africa |

6Dvision: @OP u forgot two important facts abt dos countries, 1. They r not igbos 2. They r well educated Igbos destroyed nigeria n now want to run awaay, go and master your history book, when aguiyi ironsi(the only igbo man that ruled nigeria)was in office, the economy of the eastern region was the largest in africa and one of the fastest growing economy in the world,up till the extent the malaysians came to buy palm seeds from that region in order to grow like them and they have succeded,it's nigeria that is holding the igbos back and not igbos holding nigeria. |

Politics › Re: If You Were ERNEST Shonekan, will You Surrender To ABACHA? by Herald47(op): 11:21pm On Nov 23, 2015 |
CACAWA: Go back and read again. Babangida was meant to handover to his chief of defence staff, Abacha, but decided to curry the favour of Yorubas by handing over to a civilian Shonekan who is from Abiola's zone. However, Abacha remained in total control of the armed forces as C-in-C while shonekan was only ceremonial..sort of figure head
...then Abiola said to himself "am I mad? Babangida has already left power...and I am the elected President....there is nothing like interim president in the constitution especially when we already have a duly elected president...(then he stood up)....I have to act now....(he went straight to the broadcasting station)..."
As Abiola went to announce that he was now the president, Abacha said "Kai Walahi dat one no fossible...shonekan Abeg stand up make I see who go come drive me comot po hia"
As Abiola finished and headed for presidential villa, Abacha whom he thought will cooperate as he was already cooperating with Shonekan placed him in cuffs and said..."oga walai e be like say you no dey hia word fa, na me be feresident gaskiya ne fa...I declare curfew and you disobeyed so go to kirikiri" that abacha too rugged,i call him the idi amin of nigeria |
