I am sure you guys are used to mediocrity, that is why you will celebrate something like this, please help us tell those in power that we can enjoy far better service than this for the amount spent on the railway rehabilitation. |
donphilopus: That's what they do not knowDo not mind the guy jare, Abacha as crazy as he was won both the Nations Cup and Olympic Gold medals, nobody in his right mind will attribute the success to his government. |
taharqa: The CLOWNS just nevers fails to live up to type. Instead of a simple, heart-felt Congratulatory message to the victories young lads and to all Nigerians at this joyous moment, they just had to, true to type, snick in Politics somehow.. Talking about a 'change of Govt' when a group of very young lads just won d world and are savouring it, is the hight of INSENSIVITY!!..... Then again, what does one expect from a hastily put-together group of self-absorbed DESPERADOS??Please shut it, go to the British House of Commons and see how oppositions tackle the prime minister every week. The opposition has commended the players and the officials who have gone beyond the call of duty to make Nigerians proud, the FG has done what it is expected to do or are we meant to praise a thief for not stealing? |
I believe those roads have been opened before, I have seen those pictures on Nairaland before. You guys keep harping on 20B IGR, why is the FG running a deficit budget every year despite the huge money being made from oil and taxes? |
One of the laptop guys came up with a thread either last year or this year about Ajaokuta functioning and functioning well. |
How much will the FG spend as part of its counterpart funding of the project, the total cost is 64B, how much of that 64B will be spent by the FG? |
werepeLeri: Really. He gave it back to him, thats normal. He is definitely bitter and sick.Reno Omokri is worse than El Rufai, he has no moral right to call people names. I think El-Rufai is wrong not because some of what he has said can not be attributed to the President, rather, El Rufai is meant to be an example in cultured talk, he can not lower himself to the standards on Nairaland. |
bootlegaz: Midget, I am just explaining to your lazy brothers why Lagos is investors hub and not because of Hooligans that made up the indigenous population.Lagos is an investor hub because of nature and the people, they have provided an environment for those who are willing to do legitimate business to do so and reap the fruits of their labor, the Western government played a big role in this by the establishment of the industrial estate, the people are welcoming and have a positive attitude, you guys can try to replicate the same in the East, it will not detract from the progress of Lagos and the SW, live and let live. |
El Rufai was out of place, we all know that GEJ is not what Nigeria needs but, we need to maintain decorum at all times. Reno Omokri is also a douchebag, when you feel offended, you need to respond with class. |
0monnakoda: What is the subject matter of this thread.Hmmm |
Arysexy: U need d education, dude. Tell me d development awolowo brot to lagos dat made it a newyork for d igbos as d animal I quoted wrote. How can capital territory extend beyond the island when the other area had a government in place, the industrial estates on the mainland were his work. |
Arysexy: Which of the bridges, roads and structures in lagos did awo build? Was lagos d capital of western nigeria or ibadan? Even at dat ibadan stil remains shyt covered wit rustic corrugated zincs.Educate yourself, Western Nigeria was up to Ebute Meta, the Island was the capital not Lagos State. |
Make yourself scarce biko..we dey talk present you dey talk Past
Why not go and remove the records nau, I commend the Golden Eaglets, their coaching crew and Nigerians in general. |
Make una leave am..Jonathan na reaaaal GOODLUCK!! No debates!! Him don win 2cups for him regime, haters salute the anointed . E be like I see peter abi na Paul of PSquare
Hope you guys know that the first under 17 world cup was won under Buhari and Abacha won both the Under 17 and Nations Cup as well. |
I feel Buhari should leave Nigerians to enjoy the corruption they have voted for, he has done his best for the nation and it is now time for the people to rise up to defend themselves, I did not even know he was the one responsible for Dora's rise to a position of authority. Abacha was a criminal and a murderer, but, his economic achievements far outweigh that of the current dispensation. |
I am not sure USA can do much about it, the two countries are its very strong allies in its foreign policies in the ME and war on terror respectively; besides money (which the Saudis have) is a very strong influencing factor. I see Israeli security taking a dent in this development and Palestinian hopes rising a tiny little notch. Very interesting.
The Saudis do not give a damn about the Palestinians, USA will not allow Pakistan sell the Nuclear weapons to Saudi Arabia, remember they have dissidents in Saudi Arabia and their brand of Islam is too strict, also, almost 90% of the 911 guys were Saudis. |
Detente in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Iran each checkmating each.
What most people do not realise is that Saudi Arabia absolutely loathes Iran even more than Israel, they want to be the big guys in the middle east, they also want to demolish the shite wherever they may be. i do not think the US will allow Pakistan to sell any of their Nuclear weapons. |
plaindealer: Either way this hurts you, this wonderful infrastructure remains the property of the people of Lagos including many projects the administration in Lagos commissions everyday. The funny thing is the headline is wrong, LASG is paying in total #28B for the buyback and that includes third party commitments, loan servicing and the buyback itself. The #87B is for the completion of the project, the PDP guys keep posting falsehood all over the place, well, I guess it is their day job so they have nothing else to do. |
I feel a new terminal should be built, the MMIA needs to be rebuilt from scratch, it is going to be profitable. |
Desola: Worrisdatsoposetomean?Ha Iyalode, you can be hot at times o, but PointB was just being cunny. |
ROSSIKE: Approximately $1.8 billion was spent on remodelling 15 airports including MMA Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. Is there a site I can go to for the breakdown of the cost? That is a huge amount to spend on airport renovation, but, I will like to delve deep into the cost before I make further comment. |
Can we have the amount spent on these airports? |
PointB: Well, I am yet to see any Nairalander half as angry as Gbawe. If you want an angry woman, you should consider throwing Desola in the midst. Those two will make a nice couple any day, provided they don't talk themselves into a Musiwalic state.Desola can be angry but you are forgetting Freeglobe. |
I do not know about the ones in Nigeria, but, the ones I work with outside the borders of this Nigeria are fantastic, very honest, straightforward and will fight for you everytime. I have been very lucky with Indians. |
I am waiting for the amount spent on that road since inception till date so we can compare and contrast. |
I think the airport will start off as a cargo airport with the basic facilities,, a runway and a building with navigational equipment, if the agro industry can kick off in the state, we will see it being converted to a full airport. |
We should spend the money on education first. |
Bros, what is our total debt, external + internal. I have searched on the internet and I found that to be $44bn and that translates to about 20%. |
This is why you see U.S presidents getting into bed with jewish bankers and the military-industrial complex. At just over $400,000 per year salary minus taxes , minus living expenses etc. a U.S president would leave the white house little better than a high school principal.
The US president can never accept kickbacks, they usually end up broke after leaving the white house (those who were not billionaires), they make money by hustling on the speaking circuit, Bill Clinton left the whitehouse broke. |
DerideGull: I do not give a fig about who elected the scumbag-Monday Onyekachi Ubani to the chair of NBA, Lagos State branch. He will very much look like the people that elected him, dumbasses. Where was ninny’s spirit fighting for the common man when a certain state government deported fellow Nigerians? Well a lawyer, quirk for that matter, who does not understand the meaning of the word-corruption, can hardly understand the complex nature of inalienable rights of individuals.I am quite aware that a majority of the Igbos see him as a far better person than you, he has always been at the forefront of the struggle, protesting for the common man, not the thieves, not those who hold us down, by the way, he does not limit his struggles just for Igbos, he is far more humane than that, he sees everybody as his constituents, I will advise that you do so, maybe, just maybe it will bring you peace. |
taharqa2: Show you Documents, how??If it is true that she was laundering money for Ngige, then EFCC should go after Ngige and Anambra people should also make up their mind if they want someone who has laundered money to be their governor. |
anonimi: I don't even know how to start responding to your post as it shows a gross misunderstanding of governance in Nigeria.Bros, what we have is pseudo in nature, the correct thing to do is allow the states do these things, instead, they build and are forced to inject it into the national grid, who wants to do that? Lagos, Rivers, Kano, Kaduna and some other states would be self sufficient now if that path had been followed, instead, they are told to dump the thing on the archaic transmission system we have. |
. E be like I see peter abi na Paul of PSquare
Hope you guys know that the first under 17 world cup was won under Buhari and Abacha won both the Under 17 and Nations Cup as well.
