APC with their lies and propaganda.. useless change.. GEJ all the way. |
General Overseer of the Resurrection Praise Ministries for Africa, Arch Bishop Mustapha Benjamin, on Wednesday, warned the All Progressives Congress (APC), its presidential candidate, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari and the party’s National Leader, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to leave the Christians, their leaders and temple of God out of their propaganda and deceit. Benjamin, who claimed to be issuing the warning on behalf of the Christian groups and their leaders, including the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Apostolic Faith Movement, Southern Christians, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, among others, also warned Governor Rotimi Amaechi to stop his propaganda against the church in Nigeria and Christian leaders as well. Arch Bishop Benjamin said this at a World Press Conference he addressed at the church, located at the Satellite Town, Lagos, while reacting to a newspaper report that 25,000 pastors and evangelists in the South-West were to hold a special prayer session for Buhari and his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday, at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos. The man of God also frowned at the allegation made by Governor Amaechi that President Goodluck Jonathan bribed Christian leaders across the country with a sum of N6billion. Speaking at the conference attended by large congregation of the church, Arch Bishop Benjamin said that nothing of such spiritual exercise took place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, demanding that the APC and their leaders should stop desecrating the temple of God with their campaign propaganda, lies and deceit. “Everyday, one pastor or another is being called names, that is enough, enough is enough. I carry this message to all Nigerians. Let’s show respect for one another. Do not desecrate our worship centres. “I stand for all the Christian bodies in Nigeria. What I say today is the position of the Church in Nigeria. Don’t drag us to your propaganda machinery. We won’t accept it, we won’t accept it anymore,” the arch bishop queried. Arch Bishop Benjamin, while answering a question, contended that giving the poor distribution of the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for the coming elections and the insistence of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to use the card readers, the country would only witness just a free poll, but not a fair and credible exercise. According to him, the distribution of PVCs by the commission in states of the federation and more especially in the Southern states bothered on alleged collaboration between the INEC and some interest, saying such was not likely to guarantee free, fair and credible election. He, therefore, suggested that the INEC should allow the use of Temporary Voter Cards (TVCs) for the 2015, while it works towards perfection of electronic voting in 2019 exercise. http://tribune.com.ng/news/news-headlines/item/31739-don-t-desecrate-church-with-propaganda-bishop-benjamin-tells-apc-buhari-tinubu |

APC has nothing good to offer NIGERIA Civil Servants from across Osun State rallied in Osogbo today in protest against the State Government for their unpaid Salaries for over Five Months. The workers who gathered at the Fakunle Comprehensive high School blocked the main Olaiya Junction of Osogbo and marched through the Osogbo/Gbongan Road, chanting anti- government songs. The workers alleged that Junior Workers were owed for 4 Months while those of Senior Cadre about 5 months. The workers, led by the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress in the state, Mr. Olatunji Akinyemi, alleged said that apart from the failure of the Governor Rauf Aregbesola-led administration to pay them the outstanding salaries, the same government had refused to remit pension contributions, deducted from their previous salaries, to various retirement savings accounts. They claimed that the governor was busy spending the state’s resources on campaigns of the All Progressives Congress and left workers to suffer untold hardship. The Osun APC’s attempt to blame the failure of their states salary on Jonathan met a brick wall as President Jonathan addressed a mammoth gathering in Osun State and categorically stated that the FG does not owe any state any allocation whatsoever. The Whistle gathered several opinions on the matter: Mr. Tolulope Lawal said: “Federal government is not owing any state, most state borrowed and they must pay back before the end of his or her term. Aregbesola is owing 230 billion naira. it will take osun 28years to pay back! is the type of change we want?” Highlighting the governments’ ineptitude and questioning it’s change narrative, another commenter noted that the Governor has no prudence and his knowledge of fiscal matters questionable, He said: “The government is a terrible manager of funds. You know from time that the states allocation is not much yet he chose to spend billions of naira purchasing opon IMO , painting railway paths and other silly projects he know he can make money from while neglecting the state workers. The students too are not having the right education abi of what use is going to school without tests and exams. May God deliver this country from this selfish change.” “He has been mis managing osun state resources for the past 5 years even when they were collecting money regularly. Go and look at the wasteful senseless projects he spent billions of naira on in osun state. He has been borrowing money like mad for the past 4 years, apc state are the most indebted in nigeria. If lagos account is opened and made public people will (–censored–) tinubu. I have been saying this that states can develop themselves and make their states economically financially stable.the point is all these state govs are just plain lazy and rely on allocations every 5 weeks . The resources are there. This aregbe wasted tens of millions on a statue ,can u imagine that!!!!!” Several other commenters seemed to generally agree that Fiscal Indiscipline hallmarks the APC style of government as the state of Osun’s finances and indebtedness to Civil Servants is replicated across many APC states including while others think the monies are being kept in a fixed deposit to generate interest for the Governor and the Party for campaign purposes, others argued that the State is broke as all indebtedness to the Party’s Financier and National Leader BOLA TINUBU money are being paid back through proxy contracts. Similarly in Edo, Workers of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria expressed their grievance over the non-payment of salaries owed them by the Edo State Government. The workers were yet to receive their 2014 July salary as well as the January and February 2015 salaries, according to the State Chairman of the union, Uyi Ogieriakhi. The Whistle has also gathered that doctors in Lagos, another APC state are set to begin indefinite strike on Monday. Change indeed. Nigerians do not be deceived.. APC has nothing good to offer APC released an official statement, claiming that even if pictures of Buhari and Tinubu robbing Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) appear on Television that the people will still vote for the party. Worryingly, the party during the BUHARIGATE also informed the Nigerian public that they ought to accept anything Buhari presents as certificate even if it’s the label swiped off a loaf of bread. Little wonder then that a suspicious looking clone of a WAEC Certificate was scornfully released to the public via Premium Times after a press conference by Buhari that had all the aloofness of ‘’I wouldn’t careless” about it. The matter still drags on in court and should ordinarily be an indictment that would have ended the political career of anyone in a more developed country. In the Vanguard Newspaper, March 21st 2011 Asiwaju Bola Tinubu made the statement: “What has Gen. Buhari got to offer? We certainly don’t need expired leadership as we are offering the best in terms of brilliance, courage and patriotism in the class of Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain and Barack Obama of the USA.” Fast forward to 2014 and the same Asiwaju is waving a broom at us screaming that the same Buhari is ‘’Change’’, the question is; WHAT CHANGED? Prior to Asiwaju Tinubu’s statement, Mallam Nasir El Rufai had this to say in October 2010: Mallam El-Rufai wishes to remind General Buhari that he has remained perpetually unelectable because his record as military head of state, and afterwards, is a warning that many Nigerians have wisely heeded. His insensitivity to Nigeria’s diversity and his parochial focus are already well-known. WHAT CHANGED? Today they are in the forefront of selling us repackaged General Buhari, the savior of the masses who did exceptional wonders when he was Head of State. The macabre attempt to sell off a lie as truth, deceit at integrity and turn history on its head all in the bid to sell us a product they rejected unequivocally as not fit for governance. The nation has been spun into frenzy with well-orchestrated and calculated propaganda all in the bid to sell off this rejected package to the nation as CHANGE, a man they all agreed publicly in the past that was not fit for governance. One would realize that this Change mantra has nothing to do about change but a mindset that is been sold to the populace to protect a more sinister agenda of a particular political bloc. This is why despite the unprecedented achievements of President Goodluck Jonathan; the fuels of ethnic and religious sentiments continue to generate tension in the polity. It is why people who have lost out in the power tussle as Jonathan’s administration fights to break the stranglehold of an age long cabal, have queued up behind this thoroughly unelectable despot screaming the mantra of change yet the stench of their ill begotten wealth pervades the entire structure of their party. Selling us deceit after deceit, from the fraudulent attempt to pass off their campaign has been driven by the contributions of the masses when in actual sense it was financed from the deep pockets of the cabal and their acolytes. Telling us that Buhari was fit as a fiddle, when at the end of the day he has admitted himself that he actually went to get treated by his doctors and rest from the rigors of his campaigning across the nation. A party that swings from one pendulum to the other on National issues, first saying Boko Haram should not be proscribed as terrorists and then decrying Government for not matching them with excessive force, today they are talking about amnesty for the same Boko Haram. Is this really about Change? Despite the nation rated progressively on most known development indices, we are been promised a change based on false premises. Can such a Change be an option? Most Nigerians are wise. The same way PDP floored APC at the debate that is how APC will be defeated at the general elections #GejWillWinAgain. http://pdpmediaroom247.press/2015/03/07/is-this-really-about-change-by-chukwuka-nnamdi/ |
