I think the guy should start in some places like semantic security, writing mathematical algorithms to solve most challenging security loops. Application of knowledge matters more than studying what you will end up being fixed and in a cycle of frustrations.

Moreso, the guy is good in mental arithmetics does not mean the guy may be good in core mathematics. There are mathematical tricks to do this calculations.

What I advice the guy, is to focus more on studies especially Maths and harness his skills to the peak.

Then he can venture into Mathematics of modelling. He will sure be a success in that field. He can apply the Mathematical modelling to different problems e.g. in Computer Visions, Fluid mechanics and Traffic Simulation.

If it is, you should have chosen a course that is maths intensive like mathematics, engineering, statistics and data science and aim to distinguish yourself.

You should have studied mathematics/physics and supplemented it programming. I am very very proficient in mathematics(not as intelligent as you but the understanding of mathematical concepts comes naturally) but parental pressure forced me to apply for medicine and surgery --- worst mistake . In fact here is a page of the book I am currently studying. I am at the last chapter(from November till now, this will be the third voluminous maths book I am finishing thanks to ASUU strike)

Thank you. I know you are saying this for my sake but I want you know that the gift of fast calculation is different from the gift of understanding of math concept (quoting a friend)
Still, I was one of the best students in my class back in school. Got A1 in WAEC maths and I can tell you that I understand mathematics as per my level of education (Secondary School graduate) and other concepts not usually taught in math. I understand strange things about numbers, yes strange, things I am still trying to find a way to put down in writing.

I single-handedly without even the help of Internet (it's useless sef) developed a way of knowing the day of the week of dates from 1600 to 2100 (Gregorian Calendar) (pls believe that) and being a fast calculator, I use this method to quickly find answers and someone with little knowledge of maths and good brain can grab pen and work it out. Although, I am still finding ways of simplifying the steps for others. So, I am working but I will work more.

To add, I am not looking for job or money, just opportunity, Education opportunities and platforms to show this to the world so I can make myself and my country proud

Someone told me about The Mental Calculation World Championship organised in Germany every two years today and I think that's one of the things I want, things that made me decide to put this on this forum.
