Wow! This is a great achievement boss. I will maintain focus on geo domains for now and I look forward to increasing my portfolio size to over 200 names from the current 54 in the coming year. I pray the Lord helps me to accomplish this. But why do you target investors in your pricing? The majority of the names you sold on Afternic look like they could have sold for much more to end-users!!

It's been an Amazing year. 2019 was a good year for me in the domain biz and I'll give God all the Glory for the milestones achieved. I know I'm not the only one and many booses in the biz and newbies has some taste of successes too. It can only be God that made all those possible.

Well to round up the year I'll be doing a brief review on my domaining journey this year and what i learnt.

Bro, to be completely honest with you, nobody will give you the exact filters they use to secure good names on ED. I also learnt from Iykepromotions and modified the filters he taught me over the years until I got the one I am using now.......you see why I said you must play around with it!?? Yes, we are all together here but, never make the mistake of thinking this is not a competitive business. There is only so much one can give out. Well, here are two more. Still play around with it yourself.......nobody will tell you everything! My 2cents!!

Give it some time bro. Some of those guys get angry when you send a counter offer as they believe that their offer is fair. But, that's the nature of countering an offer.......you risk the possibility of the buyer going away with his offer. Reach out to him on monday before christmas holidays stating that you have accepted his initial offer and give him a link to purchase the domain name. I wish you success.

Modified: Since you have tried countering in the past and buyer absconded, next time, accept their initial offer and see what happens!

If you must be successful, be ready to take the risk! Also, it's an unwholesome business practice going around outbounding unregistered names. You might get away with it at first but, in the long run, you won't go very far with that practice. You would only destroy your image as a Nigerian!! Just follow your gut instinct coupled with proper analysis of the name when registering domain names and you would be successful. My 2cents

I have handled transfers myself by sending the auth code to the buyer and supply dan also the Auth code only when I am very sure I know the buyer of the domain.

I realized sometimes buyers receive the mails from dan in their spam hence the challenge for buyers to apply authcode given from dan.

So make sure both routes are fed well.

When the transfer is complete, tell buyer to notify dan the transfer is complete. If he says he hasn’t been receiving messages from dan, tell him to check his spam mail.

Please make this caveat bold in your post.....very important. Thanks for the info.

The issue here is that a seller previously listed the domain for sale on DAN........that's why you are getting that error. What yo have to do is contact Simon to help remove the name from the account of the previous owner and add the name to your account. Cheers!
