You're right. QLife currently takes 8-10 days and the doctor I met when I did my medicals said it's an instruction from CIC. I giggled for a few and asked him why didn't they give IOM the same instruction but he had no answer to my question. Lol Ibitowaoa: |

novughakpo88: First off, I guess you must gave done your biometrics since you applied through paper route. Secondly, I think your application is basically still at the baby stage and they are currently doing a background check on you - looking you up online via social media platforms, checking if you're affiliated to any terrorist, serial killer, etc Your eligibility review (this has to do with verification of the documents you submitted during your application, ascertaining the authentication of the documents, checking if you have the stipulated funds needed for your studies and it's also the last stage of your application before a final decision will be made, be it an APPROVAL or DENIAL) is yet to commence which means your application haven't passed the background stage. I guess you didn't do upfront medicals, right?? Hope this helps...Others can throw more light on this. Cheers! |

Frankrobbn1: Good morning, Mr Frankrobbn1 (a selfless man with a good heart). Quick one, my background check and eligibility review are running simultaneously and I never got BVL after reapplication. The eligibility review commenced immediately my upfront medicals updated to pass. Just wondering based on what you said...Should I be looking forward to get another BVL or will the one I got during my first application suffice? |

nochyks87: Hey, don't quote me and say "THE INFO IS WRONG". It really takes total maturity for people not to lose their cool to faceless persons on public forums. Good Lawd! Not sure if Abuja HQs rules and regulations is different from their Ikoyi office in Lagos but what I said was totally based on first-hand info from the Comptroller General himself. I can also recall vividly that I tried renewing mine in Dec 2018 (with passport date of expiration Jan 2020) before me and my family went on vacation overseas and I was also told by his PA that it would be renewed and I would have gotten after a few hours if it's about 6 months or less to expiration date. I'm getting ready for church. Do have a happy Sunday! |

Obehi44: I'm very sorry about your refusal, bro. I love your upbeat spirit and I believe that the third time would be charm. I guess there's a career progression, right? Try to work on your SOP the very best way you can, give it to 2 or 3 persons for scrutinization (I never did this but it's advisable). Thereafter, use free online tools to check for grammatical errors or punctuation mistakes. God bless! 1 Like |

Finestlex: Bros, you can only renew your passport when it has at least 6 months to date of expiration. My time of reapplication and initial traveling schedule prompted me to opt for submitting my application with the old passport. Thanks anyways! 1 Like |

GCMS notes takes an average of 30-40 days. Search on Google and you'll see some websites where you can order your GCMS notes from. I would have drop the website I used to order mine but nairaland doesn't condone the habit of posting external websites on this thread. Jadezion: |

I had a chat with someone at VFS and also had a chat with Qukdom and I was advised to submit both the new and old passports which is what I'll finally settle for and hopefully, they will stamp the new one. Kai, see as I dey do like say I don get PPR. Positive mindset only begets positive results! 2 Likes

Good day to all the knowledgeable persons who are making out time to share their knowledge with newbies and applicants in quest for Canadian study permit. I'm very optimistic about my reapplication for Sept 2019 because I tackled the VO's concern but I have a little challenge, fam. My passport will expire by Jan 2020 and I'm wondering if I should send a new passport alongside my old passport that I used for reapplication once PPR drops because my intent is to travel by Jan 2020?? I'm asking because student visa can't be valid for more than the stipulated expiration date on a passport. Hope to hear from everyone who have a first-hand knowledge on this. Cc Frankrobbn1, makano, TheAfrikan, guzenaira, Mudicua and everyone that I sincerely can't remember their usernames. 1 Like |

I reapplied on June 21st with upfront medicals and my medical has just been updated to pass on my CIC account regardless of the fact that I didn't get any email notification from them. Eligibility review and background check are both running concurrently. God willing, it will end in praise! |

Good evening to everyone. I re-applied on June 21st and I'm wondering if there's any current timeline for upfront medicals to be updated in CIC account...?? I know it's too soon to start worrying but my intent is to secure my TRV before Fall 2019 by God's grace. I contacted Q Life Clinic where I did my medicals and they said the results were sent to the embassy on June 29th. Just wondering! Hope to hear from anyone who probably have an idea about my question. Thanks fam! |

I guess you missed the question. The school didn't give him or her any option(s) rather his/her admission was revoked due to inability to pay tuition on or before the stipulated deadline that was given. abusmanlouis: |

You're totally right. Pardon my shortcomings. I responded based on what I could remember at that point in time and that was why I suggested he/she gets more responses from knowledgeable people in the forum. TheAfrikan: 1 Like |

In addition to what kcosam said, I suggest you also apply to 2-3 schools (if you can) offering programs of your choice just to be on the safe side considering the fact that the school which withdrew your application might not be swift enough to offer you admission the second time before your visa gets approved. I noticed that no one has answered your question and I guess you haven't been an avid reader of this forum. Co-Op doesn't guarantee study visa approval but you'll get to work full time while studying. Imagine working 40hrs/week unlike those without Co-Op who are mandated to work for just 20hrs/week. I think another good reason is that you might be lucky and possibly gain full time employment after graduation depending on how well you play your cards.....Others can throw more light if you aren't satisfied. chisongozi: 1 Like 1 Share |
