I witnessed a scenario while I was in school. An old man riding on his bike on his way from his farm was stopped at a checkpoint. He was asked for the particulars of his bike...sure old people like going about with their docs. This man presented his bike's documents but one of the officers at the point insisted they should confiscate the bike and take it to the station. He jumped on the bike, started it and wanna make a U-turn. Unluckily for him, he was hit and killed by an overspeeding expatriate. Though the oyibo man was arrested, he gave baba 70k to go get himself a new bike and the stubborn officer met his untimely death. This happened on the express way linking IJU and IKERE together in the year 2012. |
Liadi2:Bros no vex o. I thought they said INEC will be paying 32k. So ao come they sent you 10k or 10k is the official payment? |
What a great decision. |
The picture looks unreal. Even if he was attacked, I think the first thing to do is clean the blood and treat the wounds. But from the pix, the man is on drip while the blood still flow. What happened to first Aid or was the pix snapped to score political point? Just curious. |
Tolzeal:Guys plz help me out. Before I went to camp last October, my Toshiba laptop has been malfunctioning. I reformatted it, did everything I could but some keys on the keyboard refuses to press. Attimes while using it, it will just show blue screen and starts rebooting. I later left it home for the 3weeks NYSC camp, and on returning back, I powered it but the screen wasn't displaying again. I just have to leave it there. Please, what's the possible cause of this and can it be repair? |

slimmy05:Have you ever by any chance come across the word 'empathy'? If not, I think you should check it up in your dictionary. |
Every day for the thief... |
hardbody:Whoever say common sense is common. SMH. |
LordMecuzy:Exactly my point. I doubt even if he was in the training. All these issues were made mentioned during the training and as such I don't expect him to be spitting that rubbish he just spew up there. |
VickJames:My brother, were you not told during the training that instances like this would arise? How do you expect a card reader to read the thumb print of a farmer whose thumb print is not even there again. If indeed you were in the training as you claimed, you ll know the function of APO2. In this instance, the APO2 will check from the register with him to confirm again if the man really registered in the PU. You don't expect 100% success rate. Do you? |
ichidodo:Keep your calm sir. INEC has make provision for overcrowded PU. And meanwhile, CR is only for accreditation and not voting. (hope u grab) |
denko:Nice question. INEC has provided for that. In PU like that, they will have extra APO(assistant polling officers, maybe 4) under d same polling unit and dis voters will be divided in other to make things faster. The more the registered voters in a PU, the more the APOs. |
The most annoying thing a lecturer(my level coordinator) did to me is refusing to compile my final year result for 2 good years until I took my parent to go beg him. My offense is not being among his bootlickers. Just had to pay with two good years of my life. |
fpeter:Instead of downloading another whatsapp, goto settings on ur current whatsapp, click on account and you see number change. This will transfer all your contacts to this new line. |
People talked most times to their partners without even considering their(partner) ego. Everyone has ego and if you tend to bruise this ego you don't expect them to start looking at you without putting a defense. The question should be how do you correct her? Do you correct her without bruising her ego? Your mode of correction might be arrogant to her. Whenever you wanted to correct anybody, first put yourself in that person's shoe and weigh how you will feel if what you are about to say to your partner or friend is being said to you. |
My own first love letter was eventually read in front of the whole class. |
MaziOmenuko:Ok. Thanks. |
MaziOmenuko:Excuse me Mr, am sorry to disturb you. I was going through one of your earlier threads...NYSC stuff...all I saw their are comments by people and your main gists are missing. Did you delete it yourself or what happened to them. If there's any link that can direct me there, plz kindly share. Thanks. |

You can lie sha. I can still remember vividly when you said you don't have a bf on one of the romance thread here. Oya, give us another Tory joor. |
Hello in-house. Have been following this thread religiously and I must confess, you guys are doing great job. I met a lady online through a mutual friend and we ve been chatting consistently. Whenever she's online, she ll always be the first to say hi. Throughout this time, I fell for her intelligence. Recently, she was encountering a problem and she just told me casually(not expecting me to solve it though), but I picked it up, make contact with so many people and starts solving the Ish. The respect she now has for me has really doubled. She now wants to always talk to me.(mind you on a friendship level). My problem here now is that I like this lady, but I just don't know how to change our discussion and tell her I like her and wants her to be mine without hurting her or making her think I helped her out cos of my ulterior motives. I really like this gal. Plz advice on what to do. . . . PS: looking at her pix, I can see its either we are of the same height or she's little bit taller. And she once told me she likes wearing heels. Is there any hope for me? |
adetwin:Ondo state. |
