Same with me.I watched the interview and was baffled by the confidence with which she was lying and trying to mislead the public. Many highly placed people in this country truly have no shame. The main reason why she resigned was because she presented a forged NYSC certificate Racoon: Listened to her interview and was baffled @her confidence in spewing out this shameless narrative. It is only in Nigeria that a criminal deny the fact even if caught red-handed. Spits! |

The Nigerian federal government is a big, dysfunctional, corrupt mess. You have opaquely run government companies like NNPC.We have ministries for housing, works and everything under the sun and then you have all these useless development commissions. Yet the country still have poor infrastructure and high level insecurity after they claim to have spent humongous amounts of money every year. They have been stealing oil money and it is not enough, now the next big thing is taxes. |

You guys should breathe easy and try to enjoy this short life. The rest of the world is moving forward, we either join them or remain backwards while celebrating our tribesmen who are criminals and cursing others. seunmsg: The crooked Ezeh should reach a plea bargain that allows her to just pay $400k back and keep the rest without any criminal indictment or prison. Let’s see how easy it is to run a plea bargain and get away with criminal proceeds since obidients told us it’s an easy process |

Any man who says he feels no affection for his own offspring is really not a nice person irrespective of his race.I recently read about a french actress (recently deceased) who wrote "I would have rather had a dog" while referring to the birth of her son in her autobiography. Unsurprisingly, the son sued her for emotional damage. So there are nasty people in every race and culture. While I agree that Nigeria is a low trust society, please note that even amongst Nigerian men who are polygamists, it is done openly and with the full knowledge (and consent?) of the first wife. |

Politics › Re: Nigeria Has Moved From Padded Budgets To Forged Laws’ — Peter Obi by higgs: 1:26pm On Dec 21, 2025 |
You are very correct. It is indeed very worrisome and dangerous. We are in uncharted territory. Reference: Who will enforce laws in Nigeria today when everyone authority is in the President's camp. People thought the capture of state was for the winning of elections only. Now they can see that it is also a tool for subverting laws. Now there is no limit to which one man can go to entrench his interests and rule the country in his own image no matter the consequences.
When an inserted clause gives extra judicial power to the state to seize property on account of taxes then this country has returned to a medieval state. It means the contentious talk about the state deducting taxes directly from accounts was no wolf cry.
Can someone actually sit in his office, decide what taxes I should pay and march straight into my account to collect it or pick up my tee-vee instead...? |

All these amateur "bankers " See the long epistle to say something that even a primary school boy knows. And yes,all the banks ensure you sign a debit mandate including the online loan sharks. People should try to be honest and also manage their finances well. Stay away from excessively high interest loans.CBN should deal with the excessively aggressive loan sharks pushing high interest loans on Nigerians, debit mandate or no debit mandate, predatory lending is evil. |

Bro,there are gyms in Nigeria. Rutherford2019: I had high blood pressure and hyperlipidemia as well Ophthalmologist told me that 2 blood vessels in my eyes are ruptured but it can heal if I'm able to bring my A1C to 8.0. My EKG and chest x-ray were normal I did Echocardiogram and chest CT all came back good I had low sodium level like 34mmol I ran like more than 100 tests I got a bit of relief when my kidney function test came back normal and my Beta cell test good and no heart problem Then the Dr prescribed jardiance, metformin, rosuvastatin and lisinopril. I told him I don't want to start taking medications at my 30s..for how long I HIT THE GYM I drink 4+ liters of water daily, I stopped eating garri, yam, fufu, semolina, custard I grind carrots with eggplant and little bit of plantain flour instead. I only eat chicken, egg whites and I try to get my diet from protein instead of carbs and fat I use plain yogurt with berries, vegetables I eat bread without added sugars I drink green tea I lost 10kg of weight in 3 months I got 6 packs.. Infact my last appointment with my Dr he told me that he has never seen anything like that He told me that he didn't do anything for me. GYM is the most important thing to treat diabetes NB..I live in Texas..it's difficult to manage diabetes in Nigeria |

Politics › Re: It's an honour to serve in the Military, respect the Uniform - Defence HQs by higgs: 11:17am On Nov 12, 2025 |
A mam who practises impunity and lawlessness should not expect others to respect the rule of law . ALTERNATEID: Sorry but we are no longer under a military dictatorship. In a democracy, the military is subjected to civilian control.
Nobody has the power to deploy soldiers for an internal operation without the approval of Mr. President. So, it is illegal to deploy soldiers to go and be protecting a private land of a retired soldier.
Again, it is illegal for anybody to obstruct FCT officials from carrying out their legitimate duties. If we allow just anybody to use access to military boys to stop government officials from doing their jobs, then we are creating a banana republic.
Finally, all lands in the FCT are vested in the Minister of the FCT. He has the power to allocate and cancel the allocation. If the former CNS is dissatisfied with the decision of the FCT minister, he should approach the court and not resort to self help. Obstructing FCT officials including preventing the minister from accessing the land in such a rude and unprofessional manner is unacceptable. Those soldiers should be made to face disciplinary action immediately. |
