Any fuel still being imported is because of vested interests.The functioning local refinery is producing enough to meet our needs,they are even exporting the excess. The government should stop issuing import licences and instead encourage other private players to build their own refineries so Dangote won't be a monopoly

One of the major drivers of this is the fact that we no longer need to import refined petroleum products. That alone will save the country billions of usd and has already reduced the pressure on the naira.

There was a day I bought a sniper to kill insecticides in my room, I missed it with water in a fearless bottle and pricked the cover with nail so i can flit it.
After using , I left the remainder on the table being alone in the room, and I went out to get a super commando energy drink, I drank some and left the remaining ones beside my bed. After a while I got a call on Whatsapp and I got up to receive the call, while on call I just strolled to the table, picked up the fearless bottle with sniper thinking it's my commando, boom, I just poured it inside my mouth and spit it out immediately.
I was frozen with shock, and rushed out to get a charcoal with palm oil, mixed and drank while waiting for any signs so I can rush to the hospital. I didn't get any feelings for over 48 hours so I let it slide.
But just imagined I died, won't people say I commit suicide?
I don't judge without having facts!

I hope after this terrible tragedy we can prepare better for emergencies including having neccessary evacuation equipment for tall buildings.

This is what many Nigerians don't understand. If I am in a country where public funds are honestly used and accounted for,I will be very happy to pay taxes.

Nigerian engineers are good yet all the heavy equipment that was used in building Dangote refinery came from Indian companies like Thermax because the steel industry in Nigeria remains undeveloped as a result of monopolisation by corrupt civil servants and politicians. This is a sector that can create more than 100k jobs if transparently privatised.

He is not a thief. You guys just don't like hearing the truth.Politicians and civil servants do these things as conduit to steal money.Government at all levels must stop trying to run businesses in Nigeria. Government owned refineries,airlines, shipping lines,telecom company,steel company,electricity company etc have all failed in Nigeria and yet we never learn.

He is partially correct about so called revolutions though his motive for speaking out is obviously tribal and ethnic sentiments hence the "start from your region" comment.
Mass uprisings usually result in socioeconomic conditions that are worse than before the uprising. This is especially true if the old regime is a dictatorship that has stayed for long because it means the new regime will start with new/weak institutions, making it more difficult to achieve stability e.g Libya.
I also wonder why protesters always destroy public infrastructure and buildings when it is obvious that public funds will still be used to rebuild and the money will most likely be raised through taxation which affects everyone including the protesters.All protests should be peaceful.

This conviction by the Finnish court is very commendable and encouraging. The senator should also remind our own government of the need to obey all court judgements,even the ones they don't like.That is one of the things that show that we are a civilised country.

Why are all these state governments establishing airlines? We don't ever learn in this country. After decades of failed government enterprises -refineries,airlines,shipping lines etc,we are still setting up more.
