The internet is boiling over the leaked s*x tape of an Anambra man and woman, who were allegedly married to other people. While opinions are flying everywhere, “They’re divorced!” “No, they’re still married!”, let’s assume they’re both still married for purposes of this discussion.
Now let’s face the real question: Is adultery a crime in Anambra State?
The answer is NO. Let me break it down:
What is adultery?
It’s when a married person has voluntary sexual intercourse with someone who is not their spouse.
But is it a CRIME? No.And here’s why: A crime is an act made unlawful by a written law, punishable by fine or imprisonment.
In Anambra State, and the entire southern Nigeria, no written law criminalizes adultery.Shocking? Maybe. Unjust? That’s debatable.But that’s the LAW.
So while adultery might be morally scandalous, it is not legally punishable as a crime in Anambra.
However, in some Northern Nigerian states where Sharia law applies, adultery is a criminal offence, and it carries heavy penalties.

Topic: Break Your Dirty Sexual Addictions Because...

The Will of God is that we live holy just as He is Holy. Without holiness, we can't please Him, and we can't walk with Him in an acceptable manner. While a human being is spirit, soul and body, we know that the very weak state of the fallen nature of man keeps infesting the body and soul of many with dirty things that disrupt their perfect communion with the LORD.
So, several folks are currently addicted to all manner of dirty things ranging from pornography, premarital sex, masturbation, homosexuality, lesbianism, etc, and are still slaves to what they know is making them vulnerable to be plundered massively by the devil.
Fortunately, you don't have to remain a slave to any dirty addiction, as the LORD, in the scripture, has given the victory.

Simple: The Word of God gives the victory!
The Word of GOD is all you need to establish a right relationship with God your Maker, where you will be empowered to overcome anything evil. And I'm delighted to announce to you that Jesus Christ is the Word of GOD. Allow Jesus to dwell richly in you if you want to overcome any dirty addictions.
So, you will make the best decision when you decide to embrace Jesus Christ as LORD and Saviour of your life. Also, the LORD has made Himself so accessible through the written word of God (the Bible). Hence, ensure you constantly saturate yourself with scriptures, and your spirit and soul will always be empowered to live above the lust of the flesh.
Finally, avoid feeding your flesh with lustful things (romantic movies, erotic videos, bad novels, bad songs, interacting with bad friends, and so on).
Remember, the LORD your Good Father has given you all it takes to overcome the evil one with all of his dirty things. But this can only be possible when you have a righteous relationship with God in Christ Jesus, where you become empowered by the Holy Spirit.

A past statement credited to Senate President Godswill Akpabio has resurfaced online amid a wave of defections currently rocking the Nigerian Senate.
The statement, believed to be from November 2016 when Akpabio was a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declared that any senator who defects from the party on whose platform they were elected must forfeit their seat.
“As lawmakers, Senators must not encourage political rascality. That is why PDP Senators today staged a walkout to protest the purported defection of Senator Yele Omogunwa, who was elected on the platform of the PDP but claimed he wants to defect to the APC to support the Governor-elect of his state. The constitution is clear on this: if a Senator defects to another political party, he loses his seat,” Akpabio posted on his official Facebook page at the time.
Nearly a decade later, Akpabio, now Senate President under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is under fire for allegedly shielding senators defecting from opposition parties, particularly the PDP, into the APC fold.
In recent weeks, the Senate has witnessed a string of high-profile defections from the PDP to the APC. On May 9, 2025, all three serving PDP senators from Kebbi State announced their defection to the APC after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The defecting senators are Adamu Aliero (Kebbi Central), Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North) and Garba Maidoki (Kebbi South).
In February, Ned Nwoko, the senator representing Delta North, also formally joined the APC.
Despite these defections, Akpabio has not called for any of the senators’ seats to be declared vacant, drawing criticism and accusations of double standards.
In a symbolic protest reminiscent of Akpabio’s 2016 stance, PDP senators recently walked out of plenary in protest, demanding that the Senate leadership uphold constitutional provisions and address what they described as “legislative banditry”.
Speaking on behalf of the protesting lawmakers, Senator Abba Moro (Benue South) said: “We cannot stand by and watch as the sanctity of our democratic institutions is eroded by political expediency. If the Senate President once believed in protecting party mandates, he must now prove it by his actions.”
The resurfaced Facebook post has triggered widespread reactions, with many Nigerians accusing Akpabio of hypocrisy and questioning his consistency on constitutional matters.
