ExAngel007: Yahoo boys share their struggle with becoming broke after spending way too much on frivolities
In a series of viral posts on social media, several former "Yahoo Boys" – a term used in Nigeria to describe individuals involved in online fraud – have come forward to share cautionary tales of their experiences with sudden wealth from cryptocurrency gains and other ventures, followed by financial ruin due to reckless spending and lack of proper financial planning.
The revelations, shared on social media by Sir David Onyemaizu, aim to offer lessons on the importance of money management and financial responsibility.
In one post, a man recounts earning $100,000 from Bitcoin trading between 2020 and 2021, only to face financial struggles shortly afterward.
Despite once having up to eight Bitcoins, the individual admits that he now has nothing to show for it. He reflects on the notion that "money not worked for" often leads to wasteful spending, emphasizing the importance of valuing legitimately earned income. “Calculate the price of BTC from 2020 to 2023 October, then you will get the price. 8 BTC ooo,” he writes, reflecting regret over lost opportunities and poor choices.
Another post features a former "Yahoo Boy" who recalls spending lavishly after his sudden rise to wealth, even renting a luxury home in the upscale Lekki area of Lagos. However, by early 2023,reality set in, and with no stable income source, he returned to his hometown. He warns others about the pitfalls of irresponsible spending, noting, "Even the money you invest when reality sets in, you go pull out that investment to settle problems and bills."
The final message comes from an individual who lost his car, home, and relationships due to his financial downturn. After spending most of his newfound wealth in 2021 on hotel stays and luxuries, he now struggles to make ends meet.
Facing eviction, he reflects, “If I see 5k naira in my account like this, I will be so happy to tell the rate at which I’ve suffered.”
Read below……………………….. it doesn’t have anything to do with yahoo or illegally made funds.after all the president of ur country today made illegal money today his ur president. Its all about how u understand life.I know some yahoo boys that u won’t see inside club or hotels.they invest everything they make and drive regular cars.U can’t waste money and don’t get broke.70% of Nigerian billionaires today all had illegal beginning.Give me $100k today and all the witches in Nigeria cannot make me poor. This mad children will have 20m and go buy car of 19m.Thats a recipe for failure. |

AntiZikist: I blame you.
After developing that your backward Asaba with resources from Delta South you now have mouth to talk.
Where was Asaba in the 80s when Warri was booming?
Once you get your Anioma which you can all see the people of Delta South are really happy you are going for it, you will no longer parasitize on the rest of Delta South. illiteracy is a disease.most of u in delta soith don’t go to school including the current governor.na deve them take know una.if u were educated u will know about the lander brothers.Go and read about them that’s if u can read them u will know the place of Asaba in Nigeria. |

Mrfeel: We know how you minorities have being fighting to take Delta state capital to warri , well with the creation of anioma you have the chance to make warri your state capital and develop it to Dubai with huge federal allocation, south east states are doing well without the huge federal allocation that guy is a local animal.who told them it’s state capital that’s developing Asaba?Asaba is blessed by its proximity to the east.Is yenagoa not. State capital?is anything happening there.all these Urhobo ppl no get sense. |
Politics › Re: Delta State Receives More Money Monthly Than Abia And 3 Other States - Ned Nwoko by highchief1: 11:55pm On Oct 28, 2024 |
AntiZikist: This one should go and form his Anioma and join his long lost brothers in SE.
This is the same idiot that was demanding from the governor why he is constructing a flyover in Warri and not investing said funds into a Federal Govt PPP power substation in Asaba .
I blame am. If not for IBB wife that made Asaba capital of Delta will that his town become a capital with all the years of investment from resources from Delta South?
When you get your Anioma state, you will join Abia, Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi in getting less allocation than Delta state. sometimes I don’t know how some of u reason.its either tramadol or codeine. So u mean ned didn’t talk sense or u don’t want to see the sense.someone is shortchanging your generation and you are praising him.the car sherif drives is only two pieces in Nigeria.only him and Davido has it.Sherif is wasteful and the person that has the guts to call him out u are attacking. The day u go get sense I go kill cow. |
