But if you look at the facts, delta governors have not done much for warri. From PTI, DSC, Fupre, NNPC, most federal projects in warri and the rest of urhobo land were influenced to their current locations by urhobo senators and house of rep members not the governors. Urhobo politicians tend to influence projects to their own home communities.

Delta north and delta south has produced equal number of senators and reps like the urhobos of delta central. But you cannot point to any single federal project in delta south or delta central influenced to those zones by their indigenes who have represented them since 1999

The premium recruiters and postgraduate institutions will not even look at your CV…..same with the guy with 3rd class or pass. Like I said Atiku and obi and Kwakwanso collectively don’t have the brains to unseat Tinubu. For God’s sake where were the brains in 2023. When they collectively had 14.6m votes? Did they have to lose election to realize they should have found a way to stay together? They think it’s just about forming coalition. Even if they form a coalition, they will fail because they are fundamentally dumb people. Like I said to someone else a few posts above, Nigeria has elevated a lot of fundamentally dumb people to cult like status because a lot of intelligent people have fled the public space. ElRufai is a different matter. He is the brains that call pull it all together. I am not saying he will succeed but if I were Tinubu, I will only have sleepless nights if I hearElRufai is working with the opposition to unseat me. He is the only one with the brain power to knit it all together.

Don’t underestimate him! Don’t underestimate his intellect, don’t underestimate his stubbornness and determination. Tinubu should know that he is only president today because of ElRufai.

The only caveat I will add is I cannot see a man of ElRufai’s intellect lend his brains to install either Atiku or Obi. He knows they are not on his level!

The problem in Nigeria is we have elevated mediocrity to great heights because the real intelligence has taken a backseat in our public affairs. Who were they how did they make their money? Customs, buying and selling, looting government money? Is that intellect? What did the intellect do for them when they were in office, what was the legacy of their intellect when they were in office.

They say when you roll around in sheet, you no longer recognize the smell. Criminals are the ones who manor money in Nigeria. So don’t equate financial success in Nigeria as a measure of intellect. ElRufai is one of the few real intellectuals in public service. Most intellectually gifted people cannot bring themselves to navigate the political space.


Although academic qualification are not always a reflection of intellect they are often a pointer. Peter Obi got a 3rd class in philosophy, Atiku got a diploma in hygiene. ElRufai is a first class graduate in Quantity surveying.

Ability to loot government funds, rig elections, make money from drug trafficking, forex tripping, government contracts, become rich because you are the sole agent for certain products is not a measure of intelligence. In the Nigerian context, it just means you are a hustler and you are prepared to whatever is required to make money. These are the qualifications of most people in the public space that you say look at what they were before! Those are not measures of intelligence. By saying look at what they were before you betray yourself because you are elevating and celebrating opportunists and thievery not intelligence.
