In life, the very first thing we need to learn is how to manage disappointments, because they do not define us but build us for better opportunities.

I'm very happy to see some of us on this platform get the so much cherished APL. Accept my hearty congratulations, may the Almighty God bless the new job for you and not make it a test on you. Please, do not forget your humble beginning and be kind enough to always help those you find in need of help.

My advice to those of us that didn't get the job, I want you to know it's not because you don't worth it but perhaps, there's something big somewhere you need to discover. All you need do is to never give up developing yourself, you will achieve your soul aim someday... Don't relent your efforts. It could be very hurtful to lose at this stage. Nonetheless, it's a sign that you've got what it takes to compete for the best. Please repackage yourself, apply for international scholarships and advance your skills. Don't discourage yourself based on the cost of some proficiency exams you need to take but give considerations to the afterward benefits.

^{Imagine, having a First Class first degree and an MSc. with a Distinction grade in a rare but relevant course with no success mail yet.} It's my wish to work in the oil and gas industry and eventually go back into academics after retirement but perhaps, Lecturing is just the best for me at the moment. So, if nothing comes eventually, I will just continue building my career as an Academic and be the best I could. Who knows, someday I could be a top consultant to an IOC.

I wish everyone good luck in the future endeavors and I hope we all achieve the best in life and the hereafter.

I have been crying tears of Joy since evening. When I saw that sms from NNPC that instructed me to check my mail and I saw I made it. My hands began shaking almost immediately. I cried my eyes out. The song "Too faithful" by Moses Bliss kept repeating itself in my head.

I was calling my dad, mum, siblings and with each successive calls, the tears poured out more. I don't know anybody. I have no person that is pushing anything. It was just God being God.

I called a guy we went together for the interview and his response was "only God know the criteria wey dem use. E be like say u get people wey dey press button for you there". I cried more.


The greatest pointer to God's work is that I just got fired from my contract Job two days back.. I don't even know where to begin thanking this God.

Jarus I really appreciate you for your humility. You'd chat with me, tell me certain things that gave me hope. Even though we didn't eventually get to see before you later left Offa during the Ileya festival of last year, I still learnt a lot from you just on whatsapp alone. Thank you for your wisdom and humility..

To everyone, APList and otherwise, may God guide our steps towards our glorious heritage.

Yup. I deliberately didn’t want to say anything after my last info especially how some people insulted me regarding the EH thing. But happy we have been justified despite the minor adjustments made.

Also happy for everyone who got the letters. Congratulations. The next line of action now is to make sure the pressure for that EH release is maintained. Trust me. We need to keep that momentum up.

Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja. (The one beside Federal Ministry of Justice).
Court 6. Hon Justice Okon Abang's Court (second floor left wing).

The court room is not that big and lawyers do justle for seat with journalists and litigants so you may need to be there earlier. The court sits exactly by 9:00am.

I'll be there too by God's grace to listen to the judgement in favour of release of our beloved APL.

Good day Comrade, You made valid points but they are not 100% accurate. I also wrote the Exam at the Airforce base in Lagos with unbelievable number of other Hopefuls. I didn't know any one in the Organization & I almost turned back when I saw the crowd.
I immediately remembered my Guys in the hood telling me how it was an exercise in futility as the Company have already employed those they want. They insisted we will only be used to give the exercise some level of credibility & legitimacy. Today I work @ NNPC. Two of my close friends who didn't bother trying almost collapsed in shock when they saw my letter. Honestly, when I saw the APL (Offer of Employment) I thought it was an elaborate Scam. Believe me this is the place to be. Hopefuls, I wish you guys all the best.

I think Dangote refinery should issue his award too. I know of someone that resumed after 18months from success notification. Long enough to complete masters

I don't dwell on all these matters. I pray normally, my parents pray for me, and the few people I help within my means pray for me.

I don't believe there is somebody somewhere scheming spiritually to stop my progress. If there is (which I seriously doubt), I don't believe the person can harm me spiritually. I only pray for God's favour and blessing not wasting energy casting some enemies (I have a dislike for Nigerian attitude of attributing everything to some usually imaginary enemies).

As a practising Muslim (and an Alhaji), I try to live my life normally knowing that nothing happens to a man except what God has decreed to him.

That's my philosophy to life, not just in the workplace. If I worked in NNPC, it would not have been different. And to be honest, I think fetishness/spiritual attack is the least of things you can accuse northerners (who dominate NNPC) of. Instead, you [b]should spend more time improving your political skills! [/b]That will be more helpful (to your career in NNPC) than wasting your time on imaginary spiritual attack.

I had already given up on this recruitment, but to the glory of God my wife called me yesterday to tell me that i have a letter from NNPC. left work early(7.30pm) yesterday to see the letter for myself.

Latest Info for GT: Just wait till this week ends.. If nothing happens this week, then Wake up each day from next week expecting it.. we are trying to close it before Friday next week so that the list can be tendered as an evidence in court to show that graduates across all ages up to 28yrs were selected for the Graduate Trainee role.. The court hearing would still hold BUT it's not hampering the release. Just expect it, can't say much.

Latest info for EH: There was a board meeting Last week Tuesday and it was deliberated that the EH should be scrapped. It was decided that the EH CADRE should be cancelled that they should open the positions to their staff: It will be an internal recruitment according to them... BUT it could still change..

Mind you, we are not working in same location but different Geo-Political zones entirely. I would have insisted to see screenshot or collect her phone to read the mail by myself if we are in the same location.

I felt the best way to satisfy my curiosity was to ask it here. She eventually confessed its a prank.

I took her serious because she rarely jokes with sensistive matters.

Let me tell a u story bt pls completely remove the bragging notion it might bring

During my nysc days, i was posted to Sapele. Wen i realised only wednesdays ws my busy day ( sch nd cds) , i moved to my cousins place in Warri nd got a teaching job (20k: To teach Pri1-5, Jss1-3 PHE) after explaining to dem dt am a corper and i wld b needing my wednesdays wich meant i wld close early(11am) on wed. This also means i travel to Sapele evry wed (35 mins journey) to do al nysc stuff (sch nd cds) nd return to Warri dt same day.

Inbetween juggling btwn Warri nd Sapele as explained above, doing lots of chores given to me by my cousin's wife ( You knw hw unnice female inlaws can be cos u r living wit dem), i was still preparing hard on my own (no lectures, no reading partner) for my ican exams (foundation level: all 5 papers). Guess wat, wen results came out i had d overall best result in the country including 2 out of 5 subject prizes getting over 90% in 3 out of 5 subjects at my first attempt at the professional exam. If you av anyone dt got inducted May 2019 after qualifying through nov 2018 diet, check the induction brochure, u wil find me there (As prize winner, foundation level)

So believe me wen i tell u dt if 'bank stress' and goldimx jam, bank stress go crumble ni!!!!!
