Hello all, please I need some advice

I had my interview two days ago , the consular after collecting my bank statements and passport handed me a yellow slip stating that my case requires administrative processing and that my visa decision will be delayed by a week. I am very concerned as my school resumes in less than a month from now. Please here are my questions

1. Since the consular said my visa is delayed by a week, may i return to the embassy with the yellow slip next week wednesday? Will I be allowed entry if I present my last interview documents and my yellow slip?
2. I have read that administrative processing might cause delays that span into months, may I schedule another appointment for same f1 visa, incase my passport comes in late and a visa is not issued? I asked this because available appointment dates are fast running out before the start of my program.
Please I will appreciate any advice at this point. Thank you
1. Return to go and do what exactly? cheesy
2. The word of a VO vs what you read online.

Just relax, you'd get your visa smiley

The award for the most useless institution in Nigeria goes to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. Today makes it 5 months that i have been trying to get my certificate and transcript.

**drops mic*
Almost every university in Nigeria can be totally useless in a way or two.

Mosbiod will argue otherwise as he may have just concluded ECA just over a month [Transcript request - WES ECA Report]. Same Lautech.

Please guys, I need help with cheap flights from Lagos to Dallas Texas, as my school resumes Jan 8th. I have to take off from Lagos on or before Jan 6th. Please!!
Fixed!!!

Flights could be as cheap as N312K if you leave during/before the holidays. If you want to "merry" and have a good family time, just know it's going to cost you some extra solid N200K.

Some of this values are not so accurate , might be fee for home student but not for international student

No 1 missing almost 3,000 for international
No 5 is almost triple that for international
No 10 missing about 1,000

And those were the only three i checked but thanks for listing it as it can serve as a guide
Well, tuition for some courses are extraordinarily high and I agree. The onus is on applicants to get the factual figures.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by HiredGames(m): 4:21pm On Dec 12, 2017
Well Well Well

The thread is finally moving as many fall 2018 admission contenders and pretenders are coming out of hiding. Nice smiley smiley

If you're just starting you hustling for admission against fall 2018 you may need to move FAST so as not to get left out of the party.

Last time I checked, below are how Universities in Canada Ranked.

1. University of Toronto
2. McGill University
3. University of British Colombia
4. University of Alberta
5. Universite de Montreal
6. Mc Master University
7. University of Waterloo
8. Western University
9. University of Calgary
10. Queens University
11. Simon Fraser University
12. Dalhousie University
13. University of Ottawa
14. University of Victoria
15. Laval University
16. Concordia University
17. York University
18. University of Saskatchewan
19. University of Guelph
20. Universite du Quebec

Choose wisely and intelligently. Canadian universities are attracting attention from everywhere. It'd surprise you the 20th placed school will bounce your "strong 2.1" if you don't do your homework.

It's funny how you can easily gain admission to a UK university (possibly ranked in the top 200 in the world) and get bounced by an "unranked" (outside the top 1000 universities in the world) school in Canada. I won't laugh because it's not funny sad

Like GlitteringStar advised already, spread your risk, apply to one or two top-ranked schools, one or two medium-ranked schools and two safe schools (low-ranked schools). This is to increase your chances of getting "funding" too. Admission plus funding is the real deal. wink

For students (like me) that just want that admission irrespective of funding, well you may want to consider the schools below.

1. Memorial University of Newfoundland (Tuition ~ $5,800CAD)
2. Simon Fraser (~$6,000CAD)
3. University of Alberta (~$10,000CAD)
4. University of Calgary (~$17,000CAD)
5. University of Saskatchewan (~$5,800CAD)
6. University of Manitoba (~$12,000CAD for the two years)
7. University of Victoria (~$5,428CAD)
8. University of New Brunswick (~$10,000CAD)
9. York University (~$14,000CAD)
10. University of Regina (~$10,000CAD)

PS: The above figures are not fact but a result of my extensive search.......so please, refer to the school website for exact figures before you pay application fee for a school you can't afford tuition.

I am in the race like ya'll are, so please reduce the DM cheesy I don't know anything. I hope we get that much needed admission and VISA.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by HiredGames(m): 7:32am On Dec 12, 2017
Lemia, let me add my 2 cents as I know a thing or two about Canada school ranking.

I really don't know how Tier 1 or Tier 2 universities are named but University of Waterloo is a top school. Ranks in the top 150 universities in the world and Number 7 in Canada. Their engineering programs however is ranked second "only" to University of Toronto.

Like Jnyuwa02 said, don't apply to only two schools, especially when they are the top two ranked engineering universities in Canada. Your first class, although "very" juicy and attractive may not be enough.

I'd advice you play it safe. Apply to some other schools (Possibly Alberta and Calgary).

Good luck getting the attention of Potential supervisors there.

Good morning bosses, sorry that am asking so many questions but it's better to ask than to live in ignorance. Pls is there any major difference between M.ENG and MASC and would going for an M.ENG program become a stumbling block when I want to apply for a PhD program in the future. Thanks and God bless
It depends.

Normally, M.Eng programmes are coursework based programmes offering little or no research experience, while M.Sc are supposed to be research based programmes.

It becomes more complex as we now have Course based M.Sc, Thesis/Research Based M.Sc(Many universities fall in this category), and Course Based M.Eng, Thesis/Research Based M.Eng (Memorial University of Newfoundland, University of Calgary).

Like I said, it depends. So you should take pain to carefully review the school/department's website, maybe write them if you need more clarity.

Conventional F1 visa interview or not, the best nomenclature for what Sgttanner will be subjected to remains an "INTERVIEW".

3. As a masters student, ωнαт αяє the possible work I can do while I study?

2. For me, it's Winnipeg, Manitoba because I love cold and the city has the coldest winter weather of any major Canadian city. Instead of ask any further question on this, why not try google. I hear that guy knows everything.

3. As a masters student, you can get a placement with Bombardier, Apple, Google, Government of Canada, Boeing, SNC Lavalin, Microsoft, Hydro Quebec. I hear these companies are the top recruiters of engineering graduates(and students) in Canada. Quite unlikely if you're not attending the league IVY of canada but in your word "possible".

I'm not offended bro. His case is very similar to a lady who said on social media saying "All men are dogs" and a person replied her saying "If all men are dogs, what breed is your father" and she took offense. When he said "All Nigerians" he didn't specify. It means all 170 million Nigerians forgetting he has people in the system. He didn't say my family directly but indirectly he said so.

Like you said, he shouldn't be bothered if his family aint dishonest.
Stop intentionally misinterpreting Twoods. What is said is this.

I read my bible and I also see that those who are saved show provable evidence of change in their lives. I see none of that in Nigerians. They are just as dishonest, as fraudulent... they simply cry about grace the loudest.

Nigerians are dishonest and fraudulent is totally different from ALL Nigerians are dishonest and fraudulent.

Curse him out, talk him down, do anything you wish.....but don't change or manipulate anything he did or said.

He had his secondary school education in Nigeria and Tertiary education in Canada; do you call that schooling in Nigeria? Iyinoluwa could afford over $30,000 yearly tuition at the University of Waterloo because he knew the value he was getting.

Nigeria frustrates young people. Do you wonder why parents spend FX to send their wards abroad to school? I like to think it's a way to "integrate" into their system.

How many Nigerians are on H1B visa in the US, how many have PR status across the world after completing a harmless undergraduate/post graduate degree?

Oluyomi Ojo ceo printivo
Bankole Cardoso ex ceo easy taxi Nigeria

there are many young people in nigeria, doing great things, opening businesses, fashion houses and many others only dump youth complain instead of doing their own part.
Bankole Cardoso was born in Lagos to a banker, Afolabi Emmanuel Cardoso and a medical doctor, Ameyo Adadevoh. He attended Corona school, Ikoyi for his primary school, and Grange Secondary School, both in Lagos, before going to Rugby School in the United Kingdom for his GCSE and A-Levels. Afterwards, he moved to the US for his University education, attending Boston College (BC), to study Accounting and Business Management and graduated in 2010. He moved to New York City to work with Carlyle Group and as an associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), where he earned his CPA (Certified Public Accountant) credentials.

Printivo, Hotels.ng, Kudi.ai, Flutterware, Aella Credit, Tetrizi ( or something, can't remember the correct name) are all Nigerian start ups that raised millions of dollars, not from and in Nigeria but from "this same" US you have spent the past months castigating!

Iyin “E” Aboyeji, the former CEO of andela was 23 years old when he got a 24 million grant to start andela in Nigeria
I love that guy, great guy by the way!!!

But do you know

1. Andela was jointly founded in the U.S and Nigeria.

2. Jeremy Johnson (a US citizen) is presently the CEO of Andela.

3. Andela was conceived in an office in NYC, and funded by a Venture Capitalist (VC) in the US. With 3 white co-founders booking a one way ticket from NYC to Lagos to "start" Andela working from Ikoyi.

4. Christina Sass, present COO at Andela (also a US Citizen) dropped out of Harvard to pursue Andela.

5. When Iyinoluwa was 18, he worked as an intern with the World Youth Alliance in the United Nations Headquarters.

6. That $24 million grant didn't come from or out of Nigeria.

So please, Iyinoluwa was not a regular 23 year old Nigerian. He didn't grow up in Nigeria and never schooled here....dude most definitely has a dual citizenship!

Please Iyioluwa Aboyeji isn't a good example of a young Nigerian that "made it big". Give me the local bred ones that did anything tangible with their life. Let's shoot the age limit up to 25.

What we are saying is that some Nigerians in America lie to show off wealth that is non existent even when they are suffering. Are you saying that some Nigerians are not suffering in US?
Can you make it in Nigeria with nothing more than Primary 6 certificate? YES!
Are there Nigeria with First class Bachelor degree education suffering? YES!

Can you make it in the US (living legally) with nothing more than an High School Certificate? YES!

your story doesnt seems right,i feel you are lieing

you cant use department budget to fund a staff education,is that not fraud and stealing?,a staff going for further education(study leave) is either going on his own cash or if the staff is very valuable the company might decide to sponsor him partially or full and all processes are done in HR.

Something again you missed is that in Nigeria there are 23 years old ceos collecting fat salaries,so what is your point?

standard of living are different in both countries,i could be rich with $100 in Nigeria while in america $100 might be in the poverty range, truth be told, cost of living is cheaper in Nigeria than in america,A person earning $100,000 per annul salary might not be able to live a good life in Silicon Valley because of the high cost of Living.

there are people suffering in the US and also in Nigeria and i have met lot of Nigerians in the US doing menial jobs and they regretted their decisions in moving to the US,life is not easy anywhere and we understand Nigeria is not on per with the US but let the truth be told, life is not rosy in the US as marketed to the world.some Nigerians in the US would have been better off in Nigeria.
