Sorry about not acknowledging GlitteringStar's comment, I rechecked my profile and found out it was actually 26800CAD that I wrote and not 25800 hence, that couldn't have been the problem.

What attention are you even talking about? My inability to enter the pool? Somehow for you shaa, thanks all the same.
Nobody is being paid to answer people's queries, questions and all. The good people of this thread do it, they do it so well you'd wonder if they are being paid.

It's okay if you feel "some" answers are off, I feel so some of the time too....what I also feel is that if someone take a minute or two to look at your question, push the quote button to give his/her opinion, such person deserve maybe not a medal but a genuine thank you.

Apologies if you feel my reply was too much. I hope you get the answers you find and of course that PR that brought all of us here.

Thank you brother for your reply.
I tried using first bank card to pay but was declined. So while searching for alternative means, l was advised to buy dollars and use domiciliary account card for the payment that naira cards can't be used for international payment now based on present CBN polices. I am just wondering how others get their application fees paid.
Get a GTBank card.

Rate is at N290 to $1CAD

Happy new month and Holiday to this great Destiny helpers in here.

Please MrsBee and all our elders here, what could have been the reason for my profile being ineligible and what can I do further? What can possibly make a profile ineligible for EE?

(2) Hubby hasn't done ECA but wrote ielts with 6.5, 7, 7.5, 7.5 for LRWS respectively.

(3) Could my ielts score be responsible as the PA? 7,6.5,7,7.5 for LRWS respectively.

I intend rewriting the test but wanted to be in the pool and upgrade as an improved result emerges.

Please help a friend.

(3) Family of 5 with 25800CAD
Are you sure you are not in this for the attention?

GlitteringStar gave a very valid answer. One you didn't acknowledge or gave any attention to.

Peradventure you missed, see below.

I honestly feel the issue of finance should be the easiest to tackle.

The question in my head (and maybe the VO's) is that "why didn't you pay full tuition?

Plus the N1.6 million (~ $5,500 CAD) gift deed was for what? Living expenses? Where and when are you gonna get the rest?

Apologies if you think I have said too much but we need to have it at the back of our minds that the VO is carefully looking for a good reason to deny our visa applications (and not the other way round).

Hello all. I'm a silent reader and have learnt so much from this thread. I'm yet to apply for my study permit but I'm sure that with God on my side coupled with the things I've learnt from this thread, there wouldn't be any issue and I'm grateful for that. There's a recent trend I'm noticing, questions are rarely answered these days, I admit many of these questions asked are unnecessary because most of the answers can be found if only people read previous thread or even go to page 0 of this particular thread but there are still some questions I feel are really important that the gurus rarely answer these days..........
N.B. I'm very sorry for the long post
Gurus didn't become gurus by consuming alone. Let's all be proactive rather than waiting on gurus to create time to answer us.
You too, when you see questions from people...try and reply them "to the best of your knowledge" or point them to where they can get the needed answers.

Hello fam,
My visa was refused on 25th and I just got my GCMSNOTES today. See below for their reason for refusal and kindly advise accordingly. Many thanks!

Pa completed a university degree in home country and has been following a career since. Now wishes to study for a Master’s degree at University of Manitoba in order to enhance career prospects. Cost of studies is rather significant in light of pa’s/family’s financial situation and am not satisfied that any possible increase in income in future would justify such a significant expense. Studies to be supported by parents. There is no indication that pa’s parent are or were gainfully employed. Am not satisfied that pa’s ties to home country are sufficient to compel pa to leave Canada at the end of authorized stay and that motivation to study is genuine. Am not satisfied that pa’s career prospect in home country justify pa’s stated motivation and that the plan described in pa’s submission is sound. Am not satisfied that motivation to study is genuine. Refused

Good afternoon House, I am calculating my CRS, please is this number 7 question same as ECA evaluation?

7) Do you have a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province, territory or federal body?

Note: I did not study in canada.
The answer to that question is NO. Question 11 is where you input your appropriate education qualification.

In the words of a fellow Nairalander: "There's a way you can tell someone to go to hell and he'll be looking forward to the journey".

Diplomacy is a valuable skill to have; it can unlock some impossible doors. The ability to pass across a message purely without the usual accompanying "noise"(in whichever form) is very rare. Some have it, others don't. Truth is, not everyone can/should have it because God created everything in variety for a reason.
It has its pros and also its cons, maybe more of the former. Those who possess it get along with far more people (and enjoy the accompanying benefits) than others.
Wisdom is also in understanding that people are, and will be, different so we should take them for who they are, not what they "should" be.
With the passage of time, experience always reveals which side pays the higher dividend, and no other person but you will reap the benefits/consequences of your different actions or attitudes.

International superstars rarely write their own songs and they give the supposed writers due credit.

Teni doesn't live by the hypocritical rules we Nigerian carry on our head. Google her. Plus Davido must have consented to the tweet before it was posted.

The purpose of an applicant's spouse doing ECA or IELTS is solely to gain more points, not for eligibility. If the principal applicant can garner enough points to meet cut off for ITA, the spouse should just save the money for his/her own.
Outside of points, spouse's IELTS, ECA or work experience is irrelevant. The only things mandatory for spouse are PCC and medical tests.
Hope there's enough light now.

Hi,
thanks smiley .Both of you are not required to write ielts or do eca if only one person can garner enough points to secure an invitation. Even if the two of you evaluate your results, only one of you is going to be the Principal Applicant (PA) while having the ability to add a secondary applicant (by virture of marriage or common law) and dependents (birthed kids and adopted ones)as well. Your profile too should be 442 as the lady above (using the same ielts score of 8777) and at the moment, that is good enough.
Many thanks wink
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by HiredGames(m): 8:45am On Nov 24, 2017
threadstone:
471 at the moment is a bit overkill. Me thinks you should get your eca and ielts first. Provided you score at least 8777 in LSWR, your scores should be 442 which should guarantee ita using the current trends.

Money potentially saved: hubbys $233 cad (eca fee) + 68k(ielts fee) + transcript fee 1& 2 (if in different schools) + miscellanous

If there's anything I have learnt from this thread, it's that "Sufficient Fund" is one of the easiest visa denial conditions to be avoided.

Pay your One year Tuition, open a dorm account and have your sponsor send a minimum of $10,000CAD for living expenses.

Quite simple to plan out in my opinion.

Please this is urgent. How do I pay application fee for admission? Is it through our regular MasterCard ATM card?
Kindly respond as soon as possible.
Thank you
Naira Mastercards work fine...I've been using GTBank cards for applications fee payments as well.

About the document submission after deadline, I'd say it depends on the school.

Like Austinepee4 said, many schools accept unofficial copies of Transcript but some require official copies sent directly from your school. I know MUN and Dalhousie require hard copies of Transcript, even more annoying Dalhousie require you to send your hard copy CV to them at Nova Scotia. undecided undecided

You will be surprised to find out that in CIC's book, if you have travelled to Cameroun or Dubai or South Africa like many people on this forum always say they have, you haven't travelled. When CIC talks of showing travel history of having travelled and returned to Nigeria, they are talking about Canada, USA, UK, the European Union, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, the advanced countries. Anywhere else apparently is no travel. So please don't laugh ooh at this person, he has a point.

To answer your question, if someone travels from Lagos to Entebbe(it's a city in Uganda), that sure means the person has traveled before. Heck if someone travels from Oshodi to Ojota, that person sure has traveled before.

If by travel, you mean international travel then I'd say that so far the movement was from one country to another, no matter how near the two places are or the means of transportation, such trips/bus ride/boat ride/plane ride or any type of ride will pass for a travel experience.

Make it very difficult (impossible) for the VO to deny you. It's a lot of work to pull this off if you are a complex applicant, but it's possible. Edited: I know someone, with a low 2:2, no job & no personal assets, who got approved for a TRV this year. He put together an amazing application. You can too.

*By brilliant, I'm not referring to your CPGA. I am referring to the way you present yourself to the VO.
Bolded is the only thing you need to have at the back of your mind when preparing your application.
