My point is simple millions of igbos in lagos, making money and spending it buying land and building house is plain stupid. Even northerners in lagos are not doing that. Bottom line there is nothing wrong with making money all over Nigeria but forgetting ur homeland is plain stupid.

Igbos need to understand that their presence in lagos in millions is a big plus to lagos and a very big minus to the south east. Look around the 36 states in Nigeria, u will observe that no state where the indigenous people makes up a greater percentage of the residents is making it big like lagos.

Therefore its imperative igbos make plans to leave lagos for good. Look at the north, they come in large nos, make money in lagos and go back home to build their lands. But not so for igbos who think they are wise, u make money in lagos, rather than return home, u start buying land and building house in lagos. Instead of building small houses, u start building big houses. Very unfortunate.

Igbos need to understand that the reason lagos haa the highest no of financial institutions, private schools, private hospitals, hotels, event centre, petrol stations, gas plant, highest no of sme, churches, insurance companies, fastfood service, vat, highest igr, billions generated in land use, billions in licensing fee, mot, taxes is simply because of
presence of millions of lgbos. Ask ur self why is no other sw state experiencing that level of development. The answer is simple because majority of the residents are indigenous people with same habits and mentality.

How many Yorubas are into commerce and trading? Forget emotions,even those who rules Lagos don't want igbos to leave, forget the divisive politics they play during election. Do you know how many billions in tax those guys contribute to Lagos? Who will pay the tax if you drive those investing in your state away? Igbos are not in Lagos like liabilities,they are major contributors to Lagos income, infrastructure ,and economy,you can't do without them

The question is if lgbos leave, do they know the no of businesses that will close. Ex lagos alone has 7k bank branches. If millions of lgbos leave wat is the use of keeping 7k branches open. Many will close, with it many will loose their jobs directly and indirectly. Lagos will lose billions in income tax. That is just banks alone
