kolladey: Tbh. I know this is an anonymous platform but a person in their right mind won't come out to say payment made them to be awarded the scholarship. I'm sure he/she would have kept it under wraps until confirmation mail and induction at the very least. It is obvious he's in on the scam and trying to rein people to commit themselves. 2 Likes |

As much as we know this government anti-corruption and integrity mantra used to win the general elections was a sham, but this is the lowest of lows in recent times. It's bad enough to be under scrutiny for terrorism inclined ideologies, but this doesn't help matters either. The Academia is now really up for the highest bidders. Now, all to do to hold the highest qualifications is hold a PhD, hardly submit research articles, become a minister and wait for your Professorship from a university you have never visited talkless of teaching in. As a nation, we need to do better . 16 Likes 2 Shares |

PapaNnamdi: Did you bother to read the article at all ? In the face of abject and depressing poverty, he had no other option but to resort to teaching in a school , and later farming when covid happened. He was dirt poor and he didn't even have the access to the internet in the way that you do now mindlessly capping on Nairaland. No doubt, he's a genius as proven by his track record and the blame shouldn't be on him but on our country who has failed him. But we thank God for folks like Michael Taiwo recognizing intelligence with an extreme economic conditions. Now watch this young man break records. 2 Likes |

Ajibel: Summary of the Debate Bakare of PDP was absent . He was a no show today . He couldn't answer the questions posed to him appriopately. 3/10 Mrs Tessy Owolabi of the SDP tried her best but it seemed to me that she was appealing to our empathy for votes simply because she's a woman. She's a woman ,Yes but that doesn't make her the best fit for the position. All in all , she managed a good outing . 6/10 Ferdinand Adimefe of the ANN was very superb. His speaking prowress was second to none , maybe Banky Sha. You could sense that he's very passionate about the position he's running for. I would give him a 8/10 Olubankole Wellington of the MDP as we all know is quite good. His speaking prowress is on the the same level as that of Adimefe and he did quite a lot of research. I would give him 8/10 The biggest surprise here is Jide Obanikoro of the APC. I didn't know dude was this good. Though he's not as good in speaking compared to Fedinard and Banky , but he's an Intellectual storehouse when it comes to Politics of Eti-Osa as shown throughout the Debate and especially the closing remark. He had answers to every question and his closing remark all but soldified his position as a front runner in this Elections. 8/10 By Extension, judging from the Debate, the Frontkiners are candidates of the APC, ANN and MDP. However, considering party structure and years of successive Governance, the PDP and APC candidates are leading the pack. My money is on Obanikoro. Dude has been running since 2011 and he's well known. It appears he has been properly groomed by his "Godfathers" on how Politics is won and lost in the state. Running on the Platform of the APC is a Turbo boost to his ambition. I see him winning this. #Justmythoughts |

I see debasing comments here . Our hatred for politicians in general is cloaking our very need of symphathy. You just go off and make useless comments, did you know this man personally? I know the numerous lives he has impacted, if he were so bad as some people claim here why would people vote him for a third term ? Do you know the source of livelihood of numerous people hinged on this man before his death ? You guys are just somehow on this platform. Say a prayer for the dead or better still just keep scrolling but no you want to run your mouth. May the good Lord grant the dead repose. 4 Likes 1 Share |

OP, the advice of your friend to study Pet Engr wasn't well thought. I will advice you to go for broader disciplines like Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical , Mechatronics. Pet Engr exclusively deals with extraction of crude oil and most PEs by profession didn't study Pet Engr as an undergraduate degree. I was studying Pet Engr earlier before I switched to Chemical and its paying off 2 Likes |
Travel / Re: What Should I Do If I Am In A Plane That Is About To Crash In Minutes? by Holargyde(m): 1:15pm On Jan 06, 2018 |
onosprince:Baba its not feasible. Jumping at such altitude with the speed of the airplane itself makes it almost impossible for you to survive. And on a plane about to crash na so in take easy to ask for parachutes. If u were to jump without a special exit created for such purposes you will most likely hit the tail or wing of the airplane during your descent. 1 Like |
