Hi, good afternoon guys. Please, when is the DE form for 2022 coming out? I checked the site and tried the numbers there but there's been no response so far.

I resumed trading fully this month and I had a 63% return this week. I plan to backtest all the stuff I’ve learnt in a while for 2-3 months before going live again. I would love to drop analysis like y’all do but I get busy during the day so I guess I’ll be updating every Friday just to help me with accountability. Have a nice weekend guys! ❤️

Please what do you think about using EA. Is it worth it?

I have never used any before but based on reviews I’ve seen, I think it works. The issue is finding a good one that you’re comfortable with. Good ones might not be free btw.

Gold is not among and you can't use EA. It's just like we don't know what we are doing. It's like I will practice using 2 phones or laptop to trade. One will be for looking at the candle sticks and the other one will be for placing of trade. I guess I will go and practice that strategy very well

If it’s that octafx own you’re referring to, any trading technique is allowed including EAs and you can trade gold too. I’ll drop screenshots of those guys trading history

Most of them are scalping with gold. I saw two guys flip $1000 to $3M+ in one week on octafx contest.
I checked their history and most of their trades don’t last up to one minute. I feel like they’re using EA or trading 30 secs TF cos it’s just crazy.

Like he rightly said building a small account is an Herculean task. Number one is u tend to use high leverage which puts ur account at risk. Secondly using a small account u tend to to set high monthly target. 10% monthly target on a $100 account size is just $10 and to anyone's it's not worth the effort all through d month. But on a $10000 acc size it's massive profit. I had this issue when trading my $500 acc last year and at the end of the most I was not making profit commensurate with d effort monthly. This lead to me overtrading at times cos I wanted to make at least 30% monthly. U know d story it always end in tears. I even started doubting my strategy. But in September I stumbled on blufx a prop firm. I tried thier conditions for some weeks on a demo acc before subscribing to thier 55 pounds monthly subscription in mid October made about 8% profit from the $25000 trading fund I was given. I can tell u if u know u can trade sign up with a prop firm instead of trying to grow a $100 acc. I will try out FTMO next month. i heard they have a flexible trading condition unlike blufx with very low leverage of 1:3 and u can't keep trade overnight unless u are on a higher subscription.

Yes ftmo is the best and you’re getting 70% profit split unlike blufx.

Also, I learnt forex through some seminars I attended and I have been practicing with what I learnt on demo (hotforex) for some time.

Just go to their site ftmo.com and then read up on their rules. You can open a demo account and take a challenge to practice. It’s exactly like the real account. You’ll see everything on their site sha and if you have further questions check their support groups on Facebook.

You’re welcome. There are legit prop funds you can trade with if you need large capitals. Like with ftmo you can buy an $100k account for $540 or so. They have rules and all that though. Check them up online if you’re interested.

Calculate how much you’re risking on the big account. If for example it’s 1%, apply the same on the small account. Stick to that and take the same trades you’ll take on the big account. That should work sir

I'm more into trading of many pairs.
when I started, I had issues, in the sense that:
1. I traded using 1 hour timeframe in particular and missed setups because, I can spend up to 30 Minutes flipping through the pairs at it was not easy keeping tabs on them.
2. many pairs equals many setups and a bit of correlation.
which do you go for?
there's solution for those.
1. Higher timeframes
2. splitting max risk by number of setups

currently I trade major USD pairs, major EUR pairs, major JPY pairs and AUDNZD (my fav)

That's why SL is always advised, especially on small accounts. But in volatile market and bad brokers, it go pass the stated SL.

like IG market trades on weekends.....
