EducationWhat's Your ASUU Strike Experience? by Holla2(op): 5:12am On Oct 01, 2009
I was listening to a group of four friends as they tell their tales bout ASUU strike. it was bitter-sweet. I tried hard to contain my laughter when one of these guys said he's the latest nanny in his compound. Neigbours wd come begging him to keep an eye on their kids when leaving for work in the morning, u need to see the expression on his face. grin.

My laughter soon gave way for a sober and 'sorry' feelings for another guy out of the four friends who told his peeps that his stay(and 5 other siblings) at home is a huge burden for his parents, especially dad , whose business isnt doin too well, this one is totally bored,no internet, generator breakdown, cant go hang cos of t.fare, sad sad

those words left my imagination spinning wild. what exactly is the story of many other undergraduates at home due to this strike huh?
, got something to share with us?
CelebritiesRe: Genevieve Nnaji On Oprah by Holla2: 4:25am On Oct 01, 2009
am happy naija is finally there. but pls stop this "igbo girl" thing, its disgusting. Its the same selfish acclaims that seek to divide our ties as nigerians. thats the same reason sm pple would claim nigeria's black gold exlusively belongs to them.
A nigerian made nigerians proud, finish!!

PoliticsRe: Turai Yar'adua Arrives Vienna For Atomic Energy Conference by Holla2: 4:45am On Sep 16, 2009
grin grin grin
pple, lets investigate this further b4 ds outbursts continue. It cud be dat the journalist wanted 2 make a headline out of this story by using Turai to get our attention. I want 2 believe 'they' wont be so dumb to send that woman without experts in the delegation. My only concern is that with or withou experts, such meetings av failed to benefit the common man in the past years, only God knws if our delegates fall sleep when other countries are taking the goodies OR they simply go there to make sure Nigeria's seat is not empty, No sincere issues/projections for the future. Am hoping Turai would make a difference this time probably by pinching any delegate found dozing with EFCC, ICPC, FRSC, PPPRC, IPPP, PDP,PPPPP, grin

PoliticsRe: EFCC Freezes Accounts Of Sacked Bank MDs by Holla2: 11:17pm On Aug 22, 2009
I pray for this nation, may God deliver us from this evil rulers who use every opportunity and public position for political vendetta. Trust me, this whole drama is POLITICALLY MOTIVATED.
How can you descend on some banks while the others are still being investigated?
Some of these bank chiefs and their caucus have stepped on toes concerning some sensitive(undergorund) issues. Its time to deal with them!!!
Thats all we get from these leaders. When power cchange hands, the next thing is to witch-haunt some others using state instrument and office.
Thats exactly what the noise is all about.
Amidst ALL of the many noise we hear them make, lets ask ourselves: "where is the development that Nigerians yearn for?"
, water, stable electricity supply, security of lives and props, shelter and goods are the basic things Nigerians ask for.
Does it look like they are SINCERELY concerned? How does politics put food on the table of the common man?
When elephants fight, its the grass that suffers. When sth similar hapenned in the US recently, even in the face of recession, bailout plan was their soulution. These people know the right thing to do, but their bellies wont allow, loyalty wont allow, this era will soon phase out in our nation, i pray.
Naija people, wise up!
Music/RadioNigerian Artistes And Their Empty Lyrics by Holla2(op): 8:00pm On Aug 21, 2009
sth is happening to naija music. it baffles me: empty lyrics!
If dey r not singing bout "pass me ur luv babe", its " Champagne,Hennesy,Moiet,Squadi, ", chorus follows.
The next line "shayo, shayo", "in the club, je k, a s'aye," "bling bling", "swag swagga",
where is the message in the music?
