@ Sisterwoman, gr8 response. it is a normal trend dese days. @ poster, no big deals reali. it boils down to undastndin. bt d bad part is wit tym emotions set in and d parties develop signs of jealousy especially if dey ar very gd togeda (as in d shaggin). |
@ poster, good work. i read all the posts from the very begining to the end. it is so obvious that christianity has been segmented based on the leaders synonymous with cults and secret groups. i am deeply moved by these allegations irrespective of the truth in them. i saw the documentary called "killer cults" on CNN last week and my eyes were filled with tears. Jim Jones (the peole's temple), david koresh, aum, the solar temple etc we should learn to thread with caution while following supposed men of God. it is bullshit to tag urself as a member a particular church instead be interested in being a proper christian after christ. i can fit to worship anywhere. be it Christ embasy, Household, RCCG, Deeperlife, MFM etc. e no mata. I am not there to see a fellow man but God. Thus the vehement insultive response on the character of the poster and those that concur with him is not necessary. there is no where in the scripture that says if u see an anomaly that u shouldn't say it. saying it wld help correct it. if true P.Chris can discover his purpose(maybe d word nd nt miracles) and thus possibly make heaven. the poster gave eye witness account as a nigerian. the sowetans have given their own account. we need to shine our eyes. may God help us. |
i tot River Niger bridge is the one that leads to Onitsha, poster hope all is well. |
@ Jenju & Babeisme, This is outright excellence. You both deserve an applause for the kind gesture and thoughtfulness. I hope Seun considers this offer either he needs it or not. You have shown appreciation and more will come. Keep sowing positive seeds. I am challenged. Nice week. |
@ Babeisme, Nice cars, Good Prices too. We should be talking soon. ![]() Cheers |
@ Damola, I commend your change of opinion as witnessed in your last post. My first post emphasised that conclusions cannot be drawn except we know the full details and what transpired between the government and the traders. Otigba stinks on a very good day. Criminals find the place safe for all sorts of nefarious activities. All of these i believe would be taken into consideration before the market is reopened. Proper planning is key. Only a matter of time before the multi millionaire Iya lojas at Balogun and Lagos Island would be bitten by the bug. This way our dear Lagos will be a better place. I pray the Government can find lasting solutions to reducing the increasing waves of crime in Lagos. I highly commend Fashola and i will not relent to. Let us all give him our support. |
@ Damola, I hope the you have been adequately sensitized and also educated by the well-versed posts of fellow Nairalanders above. Kindly change your perception. Go in2 Alausa and you will see that civil servants are no more redundant as they used to be. Adequate and relevant training are being given to staff to keep them on track to discharging their designated duties diligently. A man worthy of commendation should please be commended. BRFashola keep up the good work. |
@ Damola, No one here has presented the facts as to what really transpired between the traders and Lagos State Government. How sure are we that an ultimatum was not set for them to comply? Talking about education, the sporadic and continous jingles and adverts on radio and TV sensitizing the populace on the importance of paying tax and strict adherance to the policy - what is that called? I believe it is high time the government took effective census of fixed stores in that market, do a temporary re-planning that is if that place will continue to be their base. Though it is impossible to ascertain the exact number of traders in there due to the daily increase in squatter and makeshift kiosks. DO you think these guys don't know what taxation is all about? What do you call the weekly contribution that they pay to the miscreants and touts sent by community heads? These community heads make billions monthly at the expense of the government. I had a gruel with Fashola too early last year when i was told to pay 13% monthly as tax under the new tax laws. I looked through the article that was given to me and i saw reason to pay. Blue Chip firms have fallen under the hammer of this administration too for evading tax. Thus computer village aint the first and it won't be the last. Change has come to Lagos State and it must stay. Dissociate yourself from this mindset and belief that the respected Gov. has erred in anyway. This is not to say that the Govt. is absolved of all wrongdoings. They have their inadequacies and paucities too. Let us co-join hands to make Lagos a better place. Eko o ni baje. |
@ Tgirl, Stumbled on the thread and I love it. ![]() Very creative. Keep it up. ![]() @ Missy B, Dearest, how art thou? ![]() I can c u still pulling d strings as usual. ![]() Making the headlines and commandeering all the attention. Don't mind those labelling you as Osi of NL jare. I will dubb you with two Chieftancy titles: Omidan Amuludun of NL Iyaloge of NL Nice thread ![]() |
bastrin:@ bastrin or Hey man, ur contributions so far on this thread really express how little the quantity & quality of sense banked and stored in your brain. I was forced to reply you after your continous show of nuisance and irritation. We are discussing an anomaly, incongruity, inaptness and absurdity all you can do is to blindly defend the culprit. Put up an intelligent defence and we will concur not reiterating what we know. For your information change is a function of the people and the laws governing them. It is irrespective of the geographical location. Thus your persistent response that this is Nigeria should be dropped. I do not know if you are a kid or a childish adult but my candid advice which is for free now is for you to learn through all the scholarly post and replies that have been given on this thread. Else you will learn at an expensive fee. Lets all support the fight against barbarism, oppression, subjugation, tyranny and coercion. This charade, farce, sham and caricature parody of lifestyle being purchased with hard earned tax payers money must be vehemently opposed. |

jjuummaaii:If true then somethin is fishy. Is the philantropist SHE or HE? If 'she' then Uti should warm up for If 'he' then he should guard his ass jealously. Preferably he should subscribe to armoured pants. Anyways, he is lucky. But the boy fyne no get skills. He could be very annoying. At the inaugration of the house 'day 1' he was my most favoured housemate to give the babes the koko. All the female attention was on him. But all he could do was to start discussing with Glad he is out of the dirty house jare. Welcome home bro. |
@ TAmpico, Your scripted pre empt of would be proceedings come sunday eviction is tight. Very Uproarious. D house looks too dumb already. If Sheila gets d boot then that show got no life again. ![]() The other gals do suck terribly. ![]() They add no spice at all, no flows, no activity but filling up space like furniture. Mimi is repulsive(Ghana 4give me). ![]() Tawana is "Yak" makes me wanna throw up. ![]() And Hazel too feeble and inactive other than to cook like a member of cast of the popular "sound of music". She looks too mundane. ![]() For the guys: Kindly permit me to keep my analysis to myself. They are not worth the time. I believe at this junction MR. RICCO should be given the price money and let this crap end. ![]() The firsts have become the last. Sluty Latoya, unpredictable Lucille, and Clownish Uti left with a piece of the action and the excitement continues to dwindle. ![]() Come to think of it, just curious, how is the BBA selection carried out? What are the criteria for shortlisting housemates. I dont think the judges were right with this crop and calibre of young people, one old papa and one old mama. ![]() Bullshit Brother of Africa ![]() |
@ Poster, Chei, U get luck say no be dem papa c d sms. which kind yarn be dat na? even if na she nice pass, i disapprove of the wording of that sms. It is void and short of a message to an elderly person as far as our culture and society is concerned. Just like spikedcylinder pointed out if such a cordial and understanding relationship exist between u nd ur girlie's mama everyone including big sis will be aware. Thus i sent your post to the truthometer and i got a zero/negative rating. ![]() Nice one sha. @ iceland, This na naija. I will tell u, respect is our pride. We need not send wrong signals for no reason. I can be faulted on this but have no reason to change my views. Hell no. Tomoro e no go b dear again. Na darling darling e go be. Before w kno d koko hand go fly go bakasi. |
