They are are different types. If you are sceptical, , tons of youtube free videos how to set up anything . Dont pay anyone. with time you will master it and be pro.

This post is a quick tip on how to pick and research GEOs. My bosses can also add theirs too.Picking names from ED:
Right from when I first stumbled on this thread, I have been keeping records of all the reported sales.
Now take note of all the keywords that have been selling e.g web, floor, lawyer, dentist, roof, rental, limo, service, etc. Head over to ED, under "contains" insert your keywords (maximum 30 keywords). Other filters are common to us all.
Researching names:
This has not been easy for any serious domainer. This is my own little trick.
Firstly, since I keep record of people's sales, I am kind of familiar with keywords that can sale.
1. Copy a name you feel is nice. Say, garagedoorrepairkaty/com do a Google search in this format, garage door repair katy.com
Now ur goals are to check how many end-users or companies are running this business. Are they using any of the keywords in their domain or website tittle? How many are using low quality domains like, hyphenated names, longer names, numerical names, lower extensions etc.
Please do a Google search with this domain I sold for $799, garagedoorrepairkaty/com
2. You can also do a Bing/com search or Google map search (map.Google.Com) if you are not satisfied with (1).
3. Try web.archive.org to see what the domain was previously used for. That is, If a genuine business was running with the name.
4. I do use hosterstats.com to know how the domain has been moving from 1 hand to another. How old it it. Whether it was listed for sale before or if this is the first time it's dropping.
Now keep this in mind with GEOs.
1. You need more names to keep the sales flowing.
2. Always outbound and do multiple follow up.
3. Try to buy what I call "must have names" for end-users e.g garagedoorrepairkaty/com These are names that can,
I. Add value to an existing business.
II. They can upgrade immediately to.
4. Buy names with many competitions. Not the competition on ED, the one you noticed while doing your Google search. You will notice end-users are fighting for your keywords, as a result some use bad names. Also almost all the first 5 pages of Google have listed the business according to your keywords in that location.
5. I don't really look at search volume, competition and cpc on ED. I am always after, "how many end-users are there".
6. While doing the Google search, you will notice which keywords is commonly used. E.g between "dog training", "dog walking" "dog Grooming" "dog sitting" etc. Try to go for the one that is commonly used in that location of your domain.
7. Though you are bound to register bad names sometimes, but keep practicing even if you don't have money to buy. Just watchlist them for experiment. There are exceptions to most of what I wrote in this post. You know some domain sales are just mind blowing.

According to No 2 The Internet Archive Wayback Machine is normally use to detect what a domain is used for in the past. If a previous owner used the domain for scamming or email spamming, or there were toxic backlinks, the reputation and links are likely to follow on to the newly registered domain of the same name. It doesn't detect zone-file on how many times a domain is registered or dropped.

All those brandable marketplaces have different niches and specifications or caliber of names they accept and do well with. If you are talking about Medical, cannabis, Hemp, Cbd, fashion and some wired kind of names lol maybe Squadhelp is the right place for you.
If you seek to list just any type of names, with Geo's, numeric, long, Short, in fact any kind of names without any type of curating and in a scattered marketplace maybe you might head to brandpa, all you need to do is pay them some listing fee charge and you're free to list whatever you want.
If you need a professional marketplace that lists virtually any type of business name and brand name with some high class curation of the names then brandbucket is what you're looking for, but then it's tough to sale a name at BB than the others and squadhelp tends to do pretty well according to some domainers option.

And on the other questions regarding brandpa, i currently don't know much happening around there at the moment in terms of time of listing, reviews and all that, maybe you'll need contact their support for clarity at support@brandpa dot com they'll answer all your questions and are very responsive too.



You'll need to follow namespros goto to the niche thread over there. I think things like current market trends are discussed over there and you'll get updates too from time to time about that. I hope that helps.

Please, which of these is better to list a brandable name when expecting a fast/quick sale? That's, which of these has greater buyers/customers/ clientele base: Brandpa, BB, SH and afternic?

Pls how long does it take brandpa to review submitted names? Again, after submission, should one proceed to pay the $8 for listing or should the person wait till approval of the said name? And if so, do Brandpa send mails/notification if your submitted names are accepted? How long does it take them to conclude reviews.

To start with, setting up your gmail for cold mail marketing is key . How will I do that?
1) Open a fresh gmail account.
- Don't outbound instantly but message your personal gmail account or friends account and make sure they respond to your mail.
repeat the step back and forth for two days (min 10x)

This process enables gmail server to get to know your mail and credibility of your mail contents.


2). Subject line is important and you should pay attention to it cos it determines your open rate and also response rate too.

- create a unique subject line for yourself not the one that has been used million times and flagged by Spam Filters.
To check the quality of your subject line use online free tools .. though I will reference 2 here

NOTE: never send mail with a score less than 96% score . check the analysis and adjust your subject line appropriately till you get desired score . Most time I score 98%...

Bikonu, I listed some domain on afternic this morning and they sent me a mail congratulating me for choosing their premium bla bla, that all the domains I listed are qualified and that the domains will soon go live on their premium list, that they will send me a mail to complete the process, since 11am or so and up till now, I'm yet to see their mail. Pls should I be worried? I don't what is happening, think it's taking too much time.
Secondly, hope there are special benefits of displaying domains as premium in afternic.

BTW, I listed 6 domains, since morning, and 5 have been listed according to my dashboard and one is still in pending review status, since morning. Pls should I be worried. I'm yet to fully understand sha.

You need to know how to use the filters when checking for domains to buy. You find the filters just above the list of domain names that just dropped.

Click on the "Show filter" button.

Click "English" under Dictionary Doman Names in the list of languages section so that only English words show up in the results. Or do you prefer Indonesian?

Click "only characters". under Domain name settings.

You can use other filters you deem fit.

And after choosing your filters, click the blue "Apply Filter" button just below the filters section and the list of deleted domains. It is found midway.

Once done, this will prevent you from seeing Chinese domains, domains with hyphens such as sell-mydomains.com. Hyphenated domains don't sell well though at times there are 4 figure sales. If you own weight-loss.com for instance, you should be able to sell it for 4 figures.
