This is dangerous, It seems Buhari wants to catch the young minds to convert to Islam in schools. If not why such a directive to federal schools? Why didn't he direct that Christian literatures should also be used in all federal government schools in Nigeria as well. Christians seek not yet repose...........watch and pray. 2 Likes |

What kind of comment do we expect from a demented old fool like Obasanjo? A man without value, a man whose existence is an embarrassment to his family and a burden to his children. For 8 solid years this valueless ape was forced on Nigeria by agents who are against Nigerian state. He wasted the 8 years and left the seat of power worse demented than how he came in. Our roads were death traps, we had the worst record of air mishaps yet he did nothing to improve our transport system. His complaint of GEJ fixing or improving the rail transport shows that the man is suffering from elevated dementia. Please Nigerians let us ignore this man and consign him to where he rightly belongs |

This is the highest point of desperation. PMB and APC doing everything to rubbish NOI. Is this the change we were promised, is this the reward for serving one's country energetically and with passion? Let it be known that what is happening now fall short of all standards. No one is saying that NOI or whoever should not be probed but you cannot be the an unbiased judge in a case you have interest in. Why don't PMB appoint unbiased, neutral and proffessional auditors to probe NOI or whoever? How can Oshiomole present an unbiased report when he is busy attacking NOI's response to the allegation of spending money without approval to the point of calling her a liar? So it can be seen that no matter the evidence provided by NOI Oshiomole has made up his mind to declare her guilty as accused, PMB please this is not fare at all. You cannot win in a case that your avowed enemy is the judge even if you are an angel. From what is happening it can be seen that Oshiomole has made himself an enemy of NOI. Come to think of it why won't professionals refuse to serve for the good of Nigeria if this is what they get after service? I hope that Buhari will not reenact what he did in 1984 when he bandied the genuine people that gave their all for father land to Kirikiri without touching his Fulani brothers even though they were in charge - Shagari. This is a very good move, at least Nigerians will know after the probe whether GEJ was a "thief"as alleged by the APC goons or one who sacrficed for the progress and development of Nigeria in all fronts. But let the probe not end in GEJ's regime let it extend to 1999 when democracy returned to Nigeria. I bet you Nigerians will get to know that Obasanjo is the most corrupt Nigerian dead or alive. I also hope that at the end of the day, Nigerians will be told the truth and not lies and propaganda as has been the hallmark of the party in power. I do not know GEJ or any of the people that worked under him but I have seen some things his administration achieved. I also hope that Nigerians ireespective of political affilliation will be kind enough to record whatsoever GEJ achieved in his 4 years and compare same with PMB's achievement after 4 years for effective and informed analysis of performance. PMB KINDLY EXTEND THIS PROBE TO OBJ ERA for a complete and thorough probe and in order to know who actually should be refunding the billions of dollar you require to run your government http://saharareporters.com/2015/06/23/buhari-vows-recover-billions-dollars-stolen-president-jonathan-and-his-ministers-next
|

Politics / The Abia Menace by Homlet(m): 1:47pm On Apr 16, 2015 |
From 1999 till date Nigeria has witnessed an uninterrupted democratic dispensation which is believed, worldwide, to be the best form of government. We are tutored by scholars and made to agree that the worst form of democracy is better than the best form of any other form of government. On the face value of this theory, there cannot be any dispute. But we the citizens of Abia State certainly find it difficult not to dispute this fact due to the level of corruption and daylight robbery and looting of the state funds from 1999 to date which has invariably hoisted underdevelopment and destruction of enterprising ventures on the state. When Abia state was created in 1991, there were high hopes that it would show developmental pathways to other states in Nigeria or at least southeastern states owing to the avalanche of enterprise and astute entrepreneurs who could hold their own in industrial enterprise, trade and commerce and even pure technology. The state was and is still blessed with vibrant men and women who gain relevance not through political office but through dints of hard work and astuteness in business. Aba the commercial capital of Abia nay old Imo state is known to be a vibrant commercial city and the hub of Nigerian technological advancement; hence the military government of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida commissioned the national technology village in Aba. In those days, any good seen in Nigeria was either from Euroamericasia or Aba – made because Aba industrialists could manufacture just any relevant thing manufacturable. Abians were rated high in terms of intelligence and productivity. The true Igbo blood, which is self reliance, was overflowing in all Abians who would take any positive risk to make things happen from nothing. Due to the magnitude of blessed souls with which God blessed the state, it was dedicated to God and christened “GOD’S OWN STATE". The believe and hope of all the Abians was that with God first in all things, we would match on to show the light to our fellow countrymen and women and bring the much desired technological development to Nigerian nation. We also believed in igwe bu Ike and onye aghala nwanne ya (i.e. strength in unity and togetherness). Hence an Abiriba man who discovers a lucrative business will invite another Abiriba man to join and an Ohafia man that ventures into a good business will train others in the art of doing such business same was true of all other communities in the state. As stated above, Abians were not known to be looters of public fund and were not making their livelihood through political hoodwinking but by every honest means. Today this cannot be said of this beloved state. From 1999 to date, Abians have been under an occultic siege built by those who erroneously emerged as the rulers of the state. For the first time in the history of Nigerian governance, an office was created for the mother of His Excellency which was made more powerful than all the offices in the state even, practically, that of the governor. The state was so effectively sold to occultism such that before one could aspire to any political office, even to the level of ward councillorship, he has to go and swear an oath in a shrine and dedicate him or herself to this occultic power that has taken over the state. Others who refused this diabolical enslavement were ensured to fail and hoodwinked into abandoning the state for safety reasons. For eleven years, no one could talk or say anything contrary to praising this evil; lest one goes to market and returns not. All the appointments were subjected to approval by his Mother Excellency and must be done after occultic rituals supervised in a shrine. This effectively ensured that no living soul in Abia state was courageous enough to challenge this evil in the state. Hence the state treasury was at the mercy of son and mother. Even the Local Government allocations were made away with impunity by this same family. For the first eight years, there was skeletal development in the whole of Abia mainly in a small community in Bende Local Government Area – the country home of His Excellency. Abia being an oil producing state with all the special allocations could not pay its workers their salaries let alone other allowances. There was no infrastructural development except in this tiny community. It is a well known fact that naturally infrastructures such as good road, electricity, pipe borne water, decent environment and manpower development via education, enhance productivity, commerce and industry and on the whole technological development of an area. Hence the overt absence of these infrastructures badly affects the traditional Aba niche as enumerated above. In 2007 when the incumbent governor was coming to power, albeit by selection as there was massive election rigging and hoodwinking of opponents; Abians thought that by some degree we would see a glimpse of development, but it wasn’t to be. In fact it became worse under the present regime. The looting of the state treasure was raised to a disdainful crescendo. The incumbent governor continued to distribute the state treasury to a few individuals in the state. It was said that the ex governor was still being paid some huge millions of naira every month from the state allocation same thing to his mother. IN FACT, THIS CALLS FOR EFCC’S INVESTIGATION. BY THIS ARTICLE WE THE CONCERNED CITIZENS OF ABIA, INVITE THE ANTI GRAFT AGENCIES TO VISIT ABIA STATE AND INVESTIGATE WERE THE ABIA FUND HAS BEEN SINCE 1999 TILL DATE. The governor himself has also looted the treasury so much that the people they gave guns to subdue the masses during these years, 1999 – to date, have taken up the guns to fight the masses in the name of kidnapping. My question is did the innocent masses being kidnapped loot the fund meant for the well-being of the masses? The obvious answer is no, hence we implore these young men and women to sheath their sword against a harmless society. The governor now buys almost every house in sight at Aba and Umuahia at exorbitant prices using the funds he stole from the state treasury. The remaining fund was, before now, meant to appease the spirit of the shrine as represented by the ex governor and his mother and of course to keep the former political party of the governor afloat at the expense of good road, potable water, power, good education for our children, improved agriculture, drugs in the hospitals, clean environment, job creation, empowerment of the youths, worker’s welfare, etc. It was most laughable when PPA outlined what they called action point for the governor and gave a timeline to be August 2010. In it they cried as if they care about the plight of the good people of Abia state, yet they alleged that one of the issues of contention was that the ex-governor was being made irrelevant in Abia state politics. I wonder what these clowns take us for. May we ask, for three years of ineptitude in government, what did the People Pushed Away (PPA) say or do to save the grave situation in Abia state? Were they not the people that used Abia State money to buy the guns and ammunitions being used to unleash terror on the good people of Abia state during the 2003 and 2007 electioneering periods in order to beat all oppositions to submission or terrorize the masses so that they won’t talk for fear of being eliminated? Can their chairman BOT deny knowing the boys in the bush who are carrying out the orders from their master? Can they deny being funded from the Abia state treasury? ALL THESE ARE THERE FOR EFCC TO INVESTIGATE. All these pro Abia talks both from PPA and Governor Theodore Orji are to confuse people and continue in power. We are not deceived, we need another person to come and do what Ngige did in Anambra in Abia, what Fashola is doing in Lagos, what Chime is doing in Enugu. In this, we are not particular about any political party but are interested in that man or woman that will restore the dignity of Abians. Men and women that will lead like the late governor of old Imo state, Chief/Dr./Barrister Samuel Onunaka Mbakwe, of blessed memory. People, who will be selfless, progressive minded, remember that posterity is there to judge and above all understand that there is God in heaven who judges the affairs of men. We want people who irrespective of their party affiliation, will stand both for and with the people, visionary leaders that can shape the destiny of their generation and the generations to come like the late icon of Yoruba politics, Chief Obafemi Awolowo. We are really tired of visionless cultists, oppressors, blood drinking agents, selfish manipulators, retrogressive individuals and agents of developmental darkness. Today God has answered our prayers by giving us Chief Alex Otti, but these agents of darkness want to scuttle his emergence. And they want to weep up sentiments in order to achieve their aim of perpetually keeping God’s own state in darkness. They are trying to destroy the peace and love that exists amongst Abians by bringing the Ukwa – Ngwa and non Ukwa-ngwa dichotomy in abia politics, but we are wiser and smarter than them. What Abians need now is not sectional politics aka divide and rule rather what we require now is a man that can chart the cause and draw up the map of accelerated development. In October 2014, I went to have a training session with the Nigerian Navy at Owerrinta. I was lodged at Aba by the naval officers but I could not stay at Aba that used to be my dream town due to dilapidation of all social infrastructures in the used-to-be japan I cried for my people. Theodore Orji stole the resources of Abia state with his son and used same to take over all our public properties in Abia; I HOPE EFCC and the no nonsense Buhari will investigate and recover all from him. No wonder he must go to arm-twist INEC officials in Abia state via crude force and financial inducement to subvert the wish of the masses because he knows that he is likely going to die in detention without assess to his loots. Abians let us all come out in mass to ensure we liberate our dear state from the clutches of Theodore and his son on Saturday. A vote for Ikpeazu is a vote for Theodore and his son’s continuity which is equal to backwardness. Vote Alex Vote Otti Vote prudent management of resources Vote professionals into power Vote accelerated development Vote Abia liberation Vote APGA |

Politics / Nigerians Can Be Greater Than They Are Now- Japanese Model by Homlet(m): 12:21pm On Apr 16, 2015 |
Just of recent there was a global economic crisis tagged global “economic meltdown” that plagued the global business environment and left many organizations in economic quagmire. Though there is a general feeling of recuperation from the effects of the plague but the reality is that businesses world over have not been as vibrant as it had been before the advent of the plague. Again the main challenge that companies face as the 21st Century gets underway, is to succeed in a global economy where competition is fierce and where customers are becoming increasingly demanding. For any company to succeed, it must take a global perspective. It must supply products and services that are competitive in both price and quality, and in international as well as in domestic markets. To maintain a competitive edge in such an environment it must continually improve the quality of products, services and relationships with customers. Total Quality Management (TQM) has proven itself as a way of managing and continuously improving quality. Its successful implementation in Japanese firms has been a major factor not only in their success, but also in establishing the levels of quality that customers now expect in whatever they purchase. What is Total Quality Management? What indeed do we mean by quality? Quality may be simply defined as meeting customer requirements. In fact, given the level of competition in today’s market place, we might better define it as meeting and improving upon requirements. Total Quality Management, as the name indicates, regards the continuous improvement of customer-oriented quality as both requiring active management and involving the entire company – and often suppliers and customers as well. TQM can be described in practical terms as customer focus, continuous improvement and teamwork. A great deal has been written about TQM, and more scholarly analyses have identified four fundamental orientations of TQM: systems, customer, learning and change. From this perspective, TQM is seen as a dynamic economic effort by firms to adapt and survive in dynamic environments. Tread on business development and sustainability to continue from the stables of Homlet to see if we can by any means contribute to Nigerian development through teaching and consulting for greater profitability in business ventures. Politics / Nigeria ‘s Electoral Process Still Endangered – INEC Laments by Homlet(m): 10:24am On Apr 16, 2015 |
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has hunted that Nigeria is yet to attain an enduring democratization process, in spite of the huge successes recorded by the commission in the 2015 General Elections. The commission feared that the electoral process might, be in danger due to what it termed frightening factors militating against free and credible poll in the country. A National Commissioner of INEC, Professor Lai Olurode, disclosed this in Ado-Ekiti at the presentation of certificates of return to winners in the National Assembly election in the state. In his speech entitled ,”spectre of electoral and democratic reform,” the INEC official called for concerted effort at taming the monster of heavy deployment of security during elections saying such is taking a tow on the nation ‘s resources . Olurode, who serves as the National Commissioner in charge of Ekiti, Oyo and Osun states, said Nigerians must not take the current democratisation process for granted, and lamented that this seemed to be the case now following some factors he captured in his “spectre of electoral and democratic reform.” He said: “We shouldn’t take this democratisation process for granted. We can unwittingly be putting it in the opposite direction if care is not taken because there are some recent developments that call for concern. Some of the key issues include the fact that political parties, the political elite, INEC as a commission and security agencies have to address. “We are not yet there, you can’t do elections without deployment of large number of security agencies to the field. It cannot continue to be like that. The cost of organising election in this country is quite huge compared to what the cost is in other countries. America does not spend as much as an average legislator spends in an election in this country. After spending all these money, where are you going to get it back from if not from the public purse? It is so costly to do elections in the country because every process has been monetised.” Olurode also lamented that political parties as institutions in the democratic process had been relegated, saying “how many members of political parties pay their membership dues in this country, like it was done in the olden days? Nowadays, you have strong people in political parties who call the shots and members have no voice. We can’t run political parties like that, it is not sustainable.” He noted that “there is no internal democracy in party processes in this country, it shouldn’t be like that. We should not gag the voices of the members. This is why we fear that the democratisation process in this country might be put in reverse gear.” The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has hunted that Nigeria is yet to attain an enduring democratization process, in spite of the huge successes recorded by the commission in the 2015 General Elections. This is why we fear that the democratisation process in this country might be put in reverse gear.” |

It is unfortunate that some people who are not mindful of their future and that of the generations unborn in Abia state are here asking that illegalities be upheld. Dear Jega, as you have severally promised kindly ensure that the choice of the people prevail under fair and free condition. Theodore Orji used intimidation to get both the REC and Collation Officer to accept a result that was against the wish of the people because he is afraid of going back to the prison where he rightly belong with his son for sending Aba and Abia 100 years backward. So he has to use every armtwisting tactics to ensure he enthrone his stooge. WE ABIANS HAVE SAID NO, HENCE OGA JEGA PLEASE ENSURE THAT JUSTICE IS DONE AND THE PEOPLE'S WISH UPHELD. THANK YOU 2 Likes 1 Share |

Is there any plan to implement it for the unity and peaceful co - existence of Nigeria. Please GMB endearvour to implement the outcome of the confab |
