I actually think the lack of any developmental plans for the kids is hurting us. Imagine if our players actually get better at 20, they can play on till 35. Drogba, Yakubu, Kanu, Weah, Song etc all played till their mid-30s (projected real ages) at the top.

The sad part of this lies is that our players don't learn anything when they are young and we get average stars. Imagine if Kanu or even Weah were raised in the Netherlands!

I still like our Super Eagles but I have noticed a new trend. . . Those guys raised outside Nigeria (Shittu, Dike, Moses, Aluko, Anichebe) play with a lot more zeal than the other 'home-grown' talent.

The current U-17 male squad are someworth very young (can't vouch for them sha), you need to watch their matches to see what i am saying.
