Any manager who is worth his socks would know that the most vulnerable time for a team to conceed a goal is when they ve just scored thats why managers jump up to and tell the players to get back and concentrate and stay focus,  1 minute after the Tunisia passed due to lack of concentration they score,  and thats how they equalised the first goal, but Amodu didnt show no concern, you would think his mind is a 1000 miles away from the game been played
Abeg, make we hear word joor, when we were also leading 1 : 0 yesterday before the red card, after the red card, what did your COACH do to make sure the 1 goal lead was maintained? can you provide us with an answer? what was the concern your COACH showed? Why didn't Largerback jump up to tell the players to get back and concentrate and stay focus? but Largerback didn't do anything worth mentioning, you would think his mind is a 1000 miles away from the game being played.

I just corrected you now, so bro, can you see yourself?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT YOU ARE ACCUSING AMODU FOR WITH WHAT LARGERBEER DID? undecided

tkb417:
and did i say we were better than Greece on the day?
NO: we were not because of a lotta of factors

same way UTD lost to Bayern after they were cruising at 3-0

same way Germany conceded a goal as soon they were a man down

when factors u cannot control happen, u lose

Kaitas factor is one major factor, the jabulani ball, the injuries to Taiwo and Echejile;
those were the reasons we were not good enuff on the day
Why una dey always look for excuse for Christ's sake, you were poorer and lacked no vision yesterday, so a team with a good plan and vision came and won, that's what happened, i have seen cases where a team with 1 man one down comes around to win their opponents, we all know that, why are you leaving out these positive ones while only concentrating on the ones you feel you can lash on?
Remember Egypt 2009? Nigeria Vs Germany? what happened in that match?

Krayola:
grin grin

U sabi any formation or tactics wey include kung fu?

Going a man down is a big disadvantage. More so when a team was put together in less than a month, to play against others that have been together for years under the same management. Maybe Kaita wasn't 100% responsible for the loss, but his conduct significantly reduced our chances of getting a favorable result.

I feel sorry for the guy sha. He has to live in exile till further notice if we don't qualify.
Which team did he put together in less than a month?
was he forced to take up the job?
Didn't he know the time frame?
When he was given a target, didn't he accept?
Didn't he say the best players of the SE are not in the SE?
Didn't he say he knows the SE's problem?
What was his reaction after the red card?
How did he justify his $200,000 allowance with his subs yesterday?
In all truthfulness, Were you satisfied with the way he handled yesterday's match?

He made a mistake and so what?

Didn't the same thing happen to Uruguay against France? what was the scoreline? the Uruguayans held their own and the game ended in a draw.

Let's face it, we lost because we were not GOOD ENOUGH. EOD.

How can people blame the coach for kaita kicking at an opponent? I think that's kinda silly.

I think kaita is to blame, but I have forgiven him already. I've done some pretty dumb shite too! I think we all have. Difference is the world wasn't watching , and my stupidity never broke the hearts of 150 million people. Damn!! Ok maybe he deserves the stick  grin grin

crucify him!!!
But Amodu was blamed for the goal Taiwo Taye caused against the Tunisians in Abuja, it's Amodu, so he should be blamed.

Same with the goal caused by the same TT against Egypt.

And all the missed chances our players lost against the opponents in the nations cup and qualifiers, when we were all here saying it was not the coach that was to be blamed, we were shot down, shouted at, now the same thing is repeating itself, una likes no wan blame coach, rather it's the players. Is it because he's white or what is going on here? huh

Anyways, i knew from ground that nothing was going to come out of this WC and it's gradually coming to past.

Are you sick in the brain? Callin what kaita did his job? He is supposed to be professional. Its kids that get so angry and take matters into their own hands.

As per the apology, theres is no remorse in that sheet. Typical Hausa stubborn goat. I hope we qualify anyways. He should never wear greenwhyte again
And Totti, Rooney, Ronaldinho, C. Ronaldo and the headmaster Zidane are no professional players? you better wake up and stop looking for excuses, We were beaten by teams with 10 men at the 21 levels, even at the nations cup and also at USA 94 against Italy, so stop looking for excuses, we still might have lost if Kaita didn't receive any card.

Shame on the coach too and all the silly plonkers that said we played well against Argentina.

If they had been condemned that day, maybe they would have meant business against Greece.

kAITA, you owe no one an apology, it's your job you did, 90% of people on this thread would have done the same, they are all here condemning another person.

Who even gave you all the right to decide who to be forgiven and who not to?

Kaita, what you did wasn't the first and won't be the last, people before you did worse and their team still went ahead and won, they are all looking for excuse to blame someone, they want a scapegoat lol,

Nigeria was already out even before the tournament started. From the bad Plane, to bad hotel, to bad weather, to bad coach to bad selection. Silly plonkers.

Germany is playing Serbia with one man down, yet they are terrorizing the Serbian post, you'd think it's the Serbians that are 1 man down.

The pressure has paid off, now Serbia has given a penalty to Germany but they finally lost it.

Amodu was never our problem and even with these set of players, he never failed to deliver when he was under pressure, he executed all the TASK given to him, yet these set of foolish people still never gave him a change, AZZlickers, i hope Largerbeer is as hairy as a gorilla so you can all go lick his hairy Afin assz. grin grin grin grin.

Amodu, nothing do you, after August when you must have been freed from the bondage called NFF contract, you shall find a job outside Nigeria, make your name well known and then come Bleep us over again. (you shall lead another team to come Bleep us over), i pray a good country in the same qualifying rounds with us for 2014 worldcup comes hiring you so you can prove to this silly and clueless country what they stupidly threw away.

SportsNigeria Assistant Coach Unhappy With Performance by honeric01(mod): 7:22am On Jun 18, 2010
Nigerian asistant national coach Daniel Amokachi dismissed praise for the Super Eagles that they performed far beyond expectations with a nine-man squad after Sani Keita was given marching orders against the Greeks, who staged a remarkable fight-back to win 2-1 after they were a goal down at the break.

A man who once terrorised defenders and starred for Nigeria at the 1994 Fifa World Cup in the United States said he felt the decision to eject Keita was a little harsh and compared it to a similar incident in which South African goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune was also red-carded against Uruguay on Wednesday evening in Pretoria.

"There is nothing we can do about it," sentiments also expressed by head coach Lars Lagerback, who was however a bit scathing of the whistleman, although in a rather diplomatic way, yet emphasised that their fate is no longer in their hands and they will have to beat South Korea in their final match and pray that Argentina do them a favour by beating Greece on the same day.

"I am tired of hearing people saying that we played well," said Amokachi. "Yes we played well, like we played well against Argentina. What is the use of playing well if in the end you lose the match? I am not entirely happy nor satisfied for that matter.

Yes, we had to re-arrange our strategy when we lost Keita, but we need to develop strong minds and change our attitude of being satisfied about playing well. We should aim at winning, that's what football is about."

Nigerian number one goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama also made his views known about the red-card to Keita and dismissed talk of compliments about his individual performance. "It is not for me to say I am happy or satisfied about my performance," said Enyeama.

"That is for the coach and the technical committee to say. Frankly I am not satisfied, not after we had been unable to secure maximum points in this game, which I felt we could have won."

Enyeama was very hard on himself as he continued from where he left off against Argentina when he almost single-handedly stopped a Lionel Messi assault, preventing the Fifa Footballer of the Year from bulging his net with stupendous saves.

He did the same against Greece and cannot be blamed for the equalising goal, which was struck by Dimitrios Salpingidis and took a wicked deflection before landing in the net.

That prompted Greece to throw everything at Nigeria and still Enyeama stood firm until an innocuous looking long range shot, which he appeared to have covered, slipped from his grasp and Vasilelos Torodisis, the man responsible for the Keita dismissal, guided the loose ball into the net for the winner.

"Why did the referee not ask his assistant what happened?" fumed Enyeama. "I feel he should have ascertained the facts and then acted, perhaps by giving him a yellow card. If he had to be so harsh, why act against Keita alone?

"They were both pushing each other and so why not send them both off? This whole thing really affected us and much as we tried to keep it firm, we could not and now we have it all to do against South Korea and hope that Greece lose to Argentina."

Yet if their performance is anything to go by, Nigeria should carry too many guns for the Asians in their "All or Nothing" clash, which they know is their last opportunity to at least advance to the next round, even though it is no longer in their hands.

You beat me to that comment, That is the problem. Our players are all foreign based, so they have no pride in the country. They also have no idea of the effects football has on people back home. It is alright for them, they do NOT have to come back to hostile reception like the Italians do everytime they loose. Dis you notice how the italians fought not to lose against the paraguay the other night?
Our set of players are mercenaries just like the coach, they ain't Nigerians.

Poor Kaita, see you don get enemies pass Amodu, chai, why u come serve your father land? if u cant be forgiven for "common" offense like this, what then are u going to be forgiven for? it wasn't like he caused a penalty after being sent off, or that he slapped the ref, chai, i don't want to be Kaita as at present, i am sure he won't be able to sleep tonight.
