ukukaegbu: You are absolutely right on your last statement but the first statement didn't take place in the same season.
Not taking anything away from Pillars, but it's funny how they nicknamed themselves Ahly Killers just because they knocked out Al-Ahly (it was even a draw on aggregate). Yes, not the same season but it happened. Whether it was a draw draw aggregate or not, for Pillars to score 2 away goals in Egypt in 2009 showed how good they were then. All the same, i wish all the 4 clubs to represent us in the continent this time around success. I see : Kano pillars Enyimba Warri wolves And Dolphins On the continent next year. |

ukukaegbu: 2008 1st Leg: Enyimba 0: 0 Al-Ahly 2nd Leg: Al-Ahly 1: 0 Enyimba
2011 1st Leg: Enyimba 0:0 WAC Cassablanca 2nd Leg: WAC Cassablanca 1:0 Enyimba
The only time your Kano Pillars reached the semi final, they were knocked out by Heartland who qualified by finishing second on Nigerian league behind the same Kano Pillars. The same Al-Ahly that knocked out Enyimba got knocked out by Kano pillars.. so you see, football funny.. All the same, you can't say Enyimba of now can be compared to the Enyimba of 2001-2004. |

Very few clubs in Africa can boast of such record...though they're yet to re-enact the feat of 2003-2004. 2008 and 2011? against who? remind me..... |

ukukaegbu: Well, since 2002 (twelve years now) Enyimba has played on the continent 9 times. To me that's a great achievement. I don't think any other Nigerian club has been on the continent more than five times, including Kano Pillars.
As per being careful how we pick words, you didn't clarify what you mean when you said that Enyimba went down. That's the genesis of the argument. Between 2005 and now, how many times have they been on the continent? what did they achieve during these period on the continent? They have gone down because after winning the champions league twice, they have never gotten to the semi finals.. at least, that's not a progression. |

@ Infofirst, That sell has been imminent all week, I guess FOMC just needed to get out of the way. The bears are baring their fangs for real But it already got to 1255 na, i believe if 127x was to be reached, we wouldn't have this major bear movement looking at the distance between 1255 and 1270 to 1255 and 1201. all the same, we're watching the market. |

You don't come to a public forum to accuse another religion when you belong to the other with only proof that 4 of your brothers are pastors, pastors ko, devils ni.
NB: learn to argue intelligently without always trying to be the victim, its not compulsory to have a victim in such discourse. You Lied, rather than accept it and move on, your here accusing someone else of lying. Anyway, shout out to your 4 pastor brothers, you liar! Maybe you expect me to come tell you the names of my brothers that are pastors, even when i do that, you will ask for their parishes/churches, home address, shirt color and maybe their DNA. You don't even know me, yet you are calling me a liar for saying i have 4 brothers that are pastors. lol.. i pity you. |

coded01: Javier Mascherano was presented with the 2013-14 Aldo Rovira Memorial Award, given to Barcelona's player of the season, at the Camp Nou on Wednesday morning.
The winner of the prize is decided each year by a jury made up of club directors and senior figures in the Catalan media, headed by former Barça board member Josep Lluís Rovira, whose late son the award is named after.
The two previous recipients of the accolade, which was established in 2009 following Aldo Rovira's death in an accident, are Leo Messi (2012-13, 2010-11 and 2009-10) and Éric Abidal (2011-12).
"I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me for this prize", Masche stated on receiving the accolade. The Argentine went on to pledge to "try to carry on in the same vein, with the same hunger and dedication, and to always remain faithful to what this club stands for, which is a lot".
Meanwhile, club president Josep Maria Bartomeu congratulated Mascherano and stressed that the anchorman-cum-centre-back's credentials had convinced everyone on the jury.
"I have to tell you, Javier, that there was quite some debate at first, but when your name came up, the response was unanimous, so this prize is very much deserved. Barça are honoured to have a player like you".

Pls update us with the result if you have it. If this makes you happy.. blank: I remember when Orji was governor, Enyimba was the best team ever. I sed to travel to Aba to watch their games. It was so exciting. They had the best players and were the best organised. I also supported Rangers as i was in Enugu then. I went to the stadium to watch them and Al alhy of Egypt (champions league).
Those were the fun days but now, not as much fun. Enyimba play well but not as well as what i used to expect. It's sad that they should be struggling to win. I know they will win. I have hope! I use to like Enyimba too, except they are playing Kano pillars or Insurance of Benin, i always support them. I have watched series of Enyimba games (Super 4 and FA cup). Orji Uzor Kalu helped them alot, too bad they went down. this is why i think government should hands off club support, let citizens start funding their clubs. |
