mikeson12: The club world cup won't lead to the spread of ebola. The clubs that are taking part in it aren't from ebola stricken areas.Countries like Seria Leone,Guinea and Mali can spread the disease through its fans. Choi, is there no ebola in Spain that Real Madrid is coming from? Were you the one that put ebola in Mali or Guinea ? who told you Seria Leone is qualifying for Nations cup? Of the 3 countries you listed. only one has a clearer possibility of going to the nations cup.. Before you type your next comment, research and have facts with you.. |

Do I go back to egbeda during the elections or what because really have to vote. This report of yours saying nothing happened scares me.It means it either may not happen as inec claims 7th-8th Nov or it will happen tomorrow with the attendant chaos of everyone trying to collect theirs at the same time. It has been shifted to 28-30th, i also do not live where i registered but come next year, i must vote! |

I left home without power, we mostly see stable power anytime from 11pm to 4 am.. i got to the office to see darkness, as i am typing now, we are on gen even though i was told there was power for like 2 hours in the morning.
Still running on gen.
on average, we see power like 2-4 hours between 8 am and 6 pm in the office and when i am home, i see power for like 3-7 hours between 6pm and 9am in the morning.
Note that when i eventually go home on time (between 10am - 5pm), i seldom see power.
My area is within Egbeda-Iyana Ipaja axis. |

I want you to remember that those innocent victim being attack by Police, Army e.t.c are citizen like you and i, they did not foresee it, it is their turn today, it may be your own turn tomorrow. So keep on hating on Tinubu/APC while Nigeria security unit are committing evil attrocities. |

kandiikane: Smh! To name a few: Kevlar, windshield wipers, disposable diapers, dishwasher, car heater, a woman helped designed the first large scale computer in the US, circular saw, liquid paper, central heating system, solar heating system, laser cataract removal system, scotchgard stain removal, exterior fire escape, medical syringe with plungr, modern electric refrigerator, it was a woman that enabled the invented of telecommunication technology(fax machines, fibre optic cables etc, a woman laid the foundations for wireless transmissions technology, cctv, the machine that makes squared paper bags, invisible glass we use in cameras and glasses, apgar test, modern ironing board, airplane muffler, disposable mobile phones, home diabetes test, There are many inventions initially made by men which have been improved by women for modern day use.
Many inventions and discoveries have been made by women but obviously, women were meant to lie on the bed, open their legs , make babies and were not allowed to have their invention patented in their names so the men took credit for many of those inventions and discoveries. Eg. The dna double helix structure. You came late to the party, better luck next time lolz |

Icherishu: when you marry and have kids. Then what time will you have to spend with them. If you use your weekends to do laundary.
Don't forget to marry a woman that can turn amala. That work is a whole lot of stress. I am still learning how to make wheat, yet it never comes out well. It will surely drop, I actually learnt how to make wheat from my male friend and semolina (Even though I hate it) from my fiancée. I dislike wheat too, should be for old people. |

A man who does all this is awesome, fantastic, fabulous!
Don't tell me you are neat too.
I am not making any advances. I am in a relationship. We are both in a relationship so no need "fearing". As for being neat..if you wash for me, I wouldn't see it as clean, hence the reason I do my washing myself.. (clue) |
Family › Re: Does Being A " Good African Wife"= Suffering? by honeric01(m): 9:46pm On Nov 03, 2014 |
Shirley07: How many naija men do home chores and assist in the care of the children? Now, that's a good question. The men I know do so I can only speak for those I know. Do you know I don't eat out? I am not married, yet I don't eat out, I even turned amala this night myself (what alot of women can't even do), black amala for that matter and I am not even from the side that owns it. I have people that can wash for me but I wash my clothes myself (getting tired though lol). I ironed all my clothes yesterday, took me the whole day lol, I do this alot.. What am I trying to say, you don't expect someone like me to pile these on my wife when I can do them myself, same with the men I know, majority of them do these things for their families |

carefreewannabe: I don't even think this here is a question of education.
I think some men hide between such statements because they don't want to confess that they cannot afford a washing machine or whatever. Then what is the women doing to help the man financially so he can buy all the gadgets in the home? A wife is suppose to help the husband progress, so if you are married to a man and years after, he is still poor, then check your decision making process. |

bukatyne: So who laid down the economy for Jonathan? A ghost? Okonjo's precessor was a man so I do not know who should have laid it Let's not go deep. I do not believe Nigerian men wants their wives to suffer, if not, majority of what we have as gadgets in the homes won't even enter Nigeria in the first place. Those who are with men that are against buying gadgets or using them are reaping the reward of their own decisions just like men who married 5 inches fingernails wives who do nothing but order other people's children around to take care of them! |

The topic is not about women who have 24 / 7 maids though and even if they did, why shouldn't a maid use a washing machine and a dish washer? They save time, they save water, they clean better, they are more hygienic. Then why are you here whining when the topic has nothing on you? |

naijababe: No need to go too deep. I can see where you are going already.............but kai!!!! Hence the reason I said we should not go deep. My point is that alot of women should stop whining, if you like gadgets and your man doesn't want to get them for you, buy them yourself. But if the man still stops you from using them, then you married a bad apple which in truth is the quality of your decisions. |

This is, however, only possible when a man decides to stay at home and look after the children when they are any so that the woman can work. Now this is funny, how many educated men stop their wives from making money? |

Oh yes, people do, right on this thread! Yes go and see for yourself, Nigerian men are creating things to make cooking and life better for our women and Nigeria at large, yet all they get is bashing left and right. Create things or better still buy them for yourself if you are with a man who doesn't want to buy them abi wetin na. I do not have a washing not because I don't have the funds to get it but because I just don't like the way machine washed clothes look.. my siblings have it at home, told me to get but I don't like it, that does not mean I won't let my wife get it or even buy for her. |
