In all of this communiqué, the most important legal thing Governor Fubara has done is to

1. Apply for stay of execution of Appeal Court Judgement

2. Appeal the judgement at the Supreme court.

That's is law..that is legal.

Every other thing written in the communiqué na mere political statements.

The question will be, what happens if the stay of execution is not granted

What happens, if he finally lose at the Supreme Court

Which is better...representing the budget as directed by the Court of Appeal, while challenging the decision at the Supreme Court.,.if he wins..fine ..if he lose...fine...he will not have huge problems with the House of Assembly should he lose.

..but, if he doesn't represent the budget and he lose at the Supreme Court....will that not be a solid legal ground for impeachment

There is no way Wike can escape answering for the Billions of Naira that was withdrawn over the counter between November 2016- December 2019.
My take is that he wants to justify those withdrawals by these meager amount being doled out to his cronies. EFCC will definitely catch those 2 who fled.
If not for the stupid unwritten law that says you cannot arrest and persecute a former Governor till after 4 years, Wike would have really been dealt with immediately he leaves Office in 2023
