That PDP is still waxing strong in the East is purely due to APC's you-can-go-to-hell punitive measures and it's army of bigots attacks against the region. In working democracies when parties win power, if they want to remain in power for long, they expend a lot of energies appeasing the regions where they lost initially, so that it will go against human nature and conscience for that region to vote against that party in subsequent elections. That PDP is not dead yet, is APC's doing. Using the instrument of marginalization, threats and nepotism to sideline the East kept PDP alive. It is to their gain.
I hope APC can surprise the PDP by ceeding the ticket to East. It will sweep the carpet off PDP's legs, it will create confusion in their camp. But unfortunately it is the same bigots within APC that are against an Eastern ticket.
