myplaydiary: A lot of Nairalanders have comprehension problems i think the federal government should introduce comprehension in the universities, cause with the rate of lack of comprehension on Nairaland coupled with the fact that the youth are the future leaders of tomorrow, Nigeria will implode. damn where in my post did i say Nigerians are criminals in SA or should be killed, all i have been doing is call for a peaceful resolve, while you war mongers are trying to promote another conflict in Africa. Hey man, I read you and I understand your point, this is not an official vigilante. I don't even want to quote you again but let me say this. These people are not a vigilante, they are actually protecting themselves, S.A people has been looting them for a very long time because they are lazy and S.A police could not do a damn shitz but rather support their people. Nigerians have been frustrated, that why, they have to defend themselves, so I never blame them. Let me give you instances of me saying, they are lazy; so you get your facts right. 1. Throughout my studies in cape town in video production, I never had a S.A lecturer, all our lecturers are foreigners and white south african. 2. I came to U.J again, where I am presently studying, All my 4 lectures, that are teaching me right now, are all foreigners and a german visiting lecturer. S.A people is the most demand citizens from their Government in the world. My prof. told us and we did our findings as well, so you can do yours too. They actually want their Government to do everything for them, if you have been to S.A, you will understand what I'm saying. it's killing their system, it's making their citizen to be lazy. We are deliberating this issue in class last week with my macroeconomics lecturer, that was how we came up with the facts of the most demanding citizens in the world and this is slightly affecting their economic growth. |

I don't care whatever u wanna say. Name one country that is crime free and I will keep quite.
My argument is don't call people who are defending themselves touts or whatever. Since you know too much, Mr know all.
Tell me why them blacks attacked whites in S.A?
I'm sure you don't wanna get into this with me.
Please tell me why? You are saying damn shitz once again. I will only talk to you if you can proof that, you have lived in S.A for a reasonable period of time, if not. I won't quote you again. |

Are you for real you actually expected people to come rescue you from robbers oga grow sense, maybe if you tried rescuing yourself they would have joined in ode oshi. Hey man, I'm a student of the University of Johannesburg, I'm studying masters in financial economics, so get your fact right. You shut the fck up if you don't know what to say. you are not in South Africa and you don't know what is happening here; Not all nigerians are engaged in criminal acts and even if some engaged in criminals acts, does that mean, they should put law into their hands. You are a fool. I did a certificate in video production in cape town before I relocated to Johannesburg for my Master's degree, don't try shits with me. I told you, are sayings shitz, these people are not armed robbers like that, they are normal area boys, they actually attacked me because I'M A foreigner, I know all of them that robbed me, so shut d fck up once again cos you are not here and you don't know a damn shitz. |

myplaydiary: I am sure those of you commenting above did not watch the video you only read "Nigerians form vigilante group" and you base your arguement on that, Please watch the video before commenting and I said let's not be hypocritical or sentimental rather let's be objective in our reasoning. Those of you saying so they should not protect themselves, does the law give them the right as foreigners to protect themselves, they should expect the proctection from the South Africa government or better still the Nigerian envoy, this goes a long way to show that the Nigerian government is not proactive and does not care about the welfare of it citizens.
For those of you saying the op is this or that I think you guys are just being hypocrites or myopic in your reasoning, iPob have been protesting peacefully and have been getting shot, what would you say tomorrow if you read that iPob forms a vigilante against the very people shooting them, the Igbo business men spread across the state of the federation have been continually harassed in the course of their trade what would you say if you read that they formed a vigilante in a state like Lagos, I bet yoruba's would say Igbo have come to grab their lands.
Have you guys forgotten so soon how a Igbo chief was flogged for parading himself as a Igbo chief (Eze Ndi Igbo) in Osun state and many hailed the Oba for the flogging even when it should have been condemned, have you guys forgotten so soon the oba statement about drowning in the river, what if groups were formed to avert such reoccurrence, all I am trying to point out is that there is a due process to get things done a right of way, if you take laws into your hands the consequences might be over bearing, if the South Africans decide to take on the Nigerians do you guys hailing them on really think the Nigerians stand a chance, I bet you guy will be the first to scream genocide.
Please let's reflect deeply on the consequences of our action before we embark on them or speak out the actions of our brothers in that very video up there is bad, a shame and should be condemned by all even by the Nigerian government. A word is enough for the wise. You are saying total rubbish. Are you in south Africa ? If not then you are totally saying rubbish and rubbish. I am in south Africa and I have experienced such incident before in cape town before I came to Johannesburg to study. south Africa police will be watching while their citizens continue looting foreigners properties since the police could not protect them, do you expect them to keep watching while they loot their properties and killed thier people. you are saying rubbish once again. let me give you my own scenerio. I was robbed broad day light while the people around were looking at me while i was robbed and attacked with a dangerous weapon, none of these people can rescue me or even say a words when they finished, they left me in a pool of blood, I have to manage myself to get home. Please, stop saying what you don't know. |

No matter what the old woman did, she is still their mother; I will always put blame on the kids. They are heartless, it's a very simple solution. if Mama is troublesome maybe because of old age, its happens because they will be behaving like a kid when they are old and they will want to be treated with all care, so it's a simple strategy. Just get a nice apartment for mama and get a nanny and you guyz should contribute a certain amount of money for mama every month.

And 4 how long ar we goin to fight every individual with corruption? My brother, you still don't understand my point . While we are fighting corruption in all sectors, obviously every sectors will be working perfectly at corruption free. If every sectors is working at corruption free then it will obviously have positive affects on the citizens and everything will work fine, we already have the laws and all whats is necessary but corruption will not let the progress show unless we eradicate corruption to the lowest level. |

My brother, the corruption fighting have to be equal not inequality. And again it's s gradual process, it's very easy to destroy something but not easy to mend it back. If you don't tackle corruption first, no matter what you do to librate your people, it won't have any effect because if corruption. So let fight corruption first. |

Politics › Re: What Nigeria Government should do to Exit Recession Within 7 Days -Abiola Ewuola by hoodmenconcept(m): 9:14am On Feb 15, 2017 |
abiolaewuola: So what have the government done to start the local production? Nothing!
The raw materials? Do we have them or can produce them?
The forex policy affects all
Ok, Thank God we know we should be producing our own rice and not importing but here are the questions before banning importation:
Are we capable? Are we ready? Can we meet the need? how many rice farm or initiatives do the country has or have been established since the ban on importation? None!
The same rice we ban is still the same rice in the market. If the rice didnt come in again! Then we will die of hunger? So is that a good thing for the people you claim you love?
When last or where have you gotten The Kebbi-Lagos partnership Salt Lake Rice? No place!
Nigeria cant do without the international market. The solution is to keep importing and simultaneously, start producing our own and when we reach full max and can sustain ourselves and we even start exporting, nobody will import what is on ground! We dont need to suffer ourselves or use the Hard way.
If you want to be financially free, that doesnt me you resign from your work and sit at home. You will remain doing nothing and die, you work in your present firm and strategically creates your own firm and when your firm is OK, you can resign.
I myself have been looking for grants, aides to support my recession easing business, no one is responding! Things are getting hard. I understand your points but I will like to give you an instance. I have a family friend who is a larger distributor of raw foods especially Rice. He sells both imported and local rice. when we are discussing about the markets price of food items, he told me that, people refused to patronize the local rice but preferred the imported ones, then I asked him; why ? but could not give me a concrete answer; he said maybe because they are used to imported rice. Now, to my point; we need to encourage our people and enlighten them, the important of consuming our local products. And if you are saying, the rice is not enough, rome wasn't built in a day, its a gradual process. if we consume our local products, this will encourage the farmers to produce more and more then there will be competition and the price will slowly go down. Now; comes to the raw materials; Government has never increase duty on raw materials importation, especially agricultural raw materials. Do your findings very well. Even Government is trying to subsidize the agricultural equipment cost. Let encourage the government, this is a nice policy for now, the only thing, we need to fight is "CORRUPTION". Thank you. |
Politics › Re: What Nigeria Government should do to Exit Recession Within 7 Days -Abiola Ewuola by hoodmenconcept(m): 1:35am On Feb 15, 2017 |
abiolaewuola: This articles is directed to give recommendations to the government of Federal Republic of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari to ease the present unbearable standard of living in the country.
This is a well analysed consideration and a well assured strategy to bring things back to stable if Implemented
Note: the approach used is in layman style for better and easy understanding by every single Nigerian
1) Forex Policy: Restriction of forex trading by the present government has bring hardship and has been the root of the hardship in the country presently, it has not but hampen on the standard of living of the majority Nigerians.
How/ Why? What the Market Law says ''In a country or any country who relies majorly on international commodites (Raw material, Finished material) for the regular upkeeping of its market, the major transacting currency rate is key for the stable running of the market'' The Nigeria market relies heavily on the international market in every single sector. Majorly the importation sector and manufacturing sector
Therefore constant availability and easy accessiblitiy of the major transacting legal tender (dollar) should be put in place.
What Happen? The Buhari Government restricted forex transaction in all publicly available shelves such as local banks, BDCs, it restricted usage of Naira ATM outside the country, It restricted online/ intenet transaction.
Impact! This leads to scarcity of the legal tender and creates a forex monopoly market.
Present Happenings! Dealers now pay over the odd to get the legal tender to transact internationally to get products to the market from government single market (CBN and few favorables bank/BDCs) ; Different process to acquire the legal tender creates a rigid process for dealers in the name of transparency.
What Next? Creation of forex Black Market, 600% increase in rates cos of scarcity.
How it affects the masses: Dealers review their commodity pricing for the market, to cope with the current Forex policy change. Market Reflection Name everything, it affects everything, the minor but major reflection below buying Import Materials inflation by 700%, Household stuffs/items by 650% : 5 naira biscuit for 15 naira, 2.5 kobo photocopy - 20 naira photocopy, 5 naira pure water - 20 naira, all minor commodities skyrocket to remain in market.
Solution: Suspend the Forex Ban/ Reset to default settings..
Recommendation: It's a good move by the government to encourage local production of it's regular market but just like a addict who is trying to disengage, it dosent stop the substance on point, it will kill him because the addiction is part and parcel of him which keeps his body system working, just as Nigerians are dying presently because they are deprieved of their addiction, it's a gradual process, taking one step at a time.
2) Rice Importation Ban: it's a good move by the government to sight the need to be independent of the foreign market for the country daily upkeep. Giving a straight restriction on rice importation without alternatives leads to scarcity of a regular household item.
Impact: Price 1000% inflation, N6,500 - N21k / 18k. Massive effect on the majority. Creation of monopoly of supply to majority, which leads to scarcity.
Solution: Suspend ban on importation of rice.
Recommendation: After suspension, local production of the product should be reimburse with external professional / expert supervision, and be introduce to the market gradually (Nigerians cant change appetite easily) and after reaching stage of independent, ban should be placed on rice importation (nobody will know rice has been ban or it's local rice)
Enact death penalty: Death penalty should be enacted as Law of transparency in public office. Which must be sign together by the wife and a friend to the individual.
Impact: Political and project development will increase.
The wife and friend are the closest adviser to an individual, with their lives in line, transperency will always be consider, just like in China.
Ethnicity/Tribe Crises: Continue detention of the Ipod leader has heighten the agitation from minority to more minority.
Solution: Release Nnamdi Kanu and Hold public referendum for BIAFRA: Sticking together as a country remain the option for all Nigerians, a minority of a group can not dictate what the majority of a group wants. Public referendum should be open by the government for public decision. The decision will calm all tribes ceding crisis.
That's all
The strategies are easy to design for implementation and If there would be another protest, the protest should centered on suspension of current Forex Policy: it's the biggest root of current unberable standard of living.
My name is Abiola Ewuola I will be the Nigeria President when i'm 30 Years Old and i will Need your support.
Dont forget to join MuvinBox Nigeria if you have a vehicle, they give you free fuel, cash.
Cheers You have raised a nice points but what about the future consequence ? we need to be a producing and consuming country but not a consuming country only and in other to achieve this, that's the best policy for now ( forex has been using for irrelevant importation in the past, so we need to block the holes, then, empower our people and encourage them to consume our local products, then, demand for dollars will reduce and naira will grow) simple if we make use of your points, though we might be out of recession but where is the money ? In the nearest future, we will be in completely recession and oil has lose value in the world market, which is our main source of income. |
