gudbadgyal: Hello Nairalanders, I wouldn't wanna bore you, So I'll just go straight to the point. I've been dating this guy for sometime now (just date oo) but his mom knows about our relationship and his sisters too. He's such a mama's boy and doesn't wanna work. He says he doesn't like Nigeria and he's waiting for his visa to get ready. He's dad is actually a white. He's idle and depends on me to foot the bills saying he'll reward me when things go well for him. He isn't willing to work and this is really pissing me off. However some one is gradually stealing my heart because he has been doing things my bf doesn't do for me, I'm so confused right now... Dunno who to go for Need your advice please A piece of advice: Don't be deceive with foreign stuff. Foreigns is meant for hardworking people So your bf going to abroad does not mean he is gonna be rich or something, not easy for a hard working man let alone of a lazy dude. Think wise! All the best! |
Education › Re: Can I Still Continue With This CGP Or Do I Give Up On Education? by hoodmenconcept(m): 3:43pm On Sep 20, 2016 |
Irelokeh: Hello Nairalanders, I'm a 100lvl Student in a University based in the North,I have suffered so much to get admission which I value so greatly...God so good I was given a course I grew to like, but the school unfortunately released our supplementary list about 4 months after the 1st list was released so I came only to find out exams was just few weeks away, I resumed late my parents had to sweat out my fees, I wrote all de exams but I didn't know anything in some my prerequisite... I studied hard but only for me to find a CGP of 1.65 last semester (with 3 CO's, one due to a not registered course) , I'm ready to work hard come this 200h lvl but my question is Should I restart 100 lvl or can I still graduate with a 2nd class upper that I seek despite this poor performance in 100lvl.
Thank you I'm sure nah UJ. I graduated from UJ and I understand what it means with prerequisite stuff, having CO in prerequisite course is automatic extra year, and this will give you stepback and affect your CGP because they will keep dividing your CGP with the prerequisite course, if you know how to calculate CGP, you will understand what im talking about. So I will advice you to start all over again from 100l and build your CGP with rest of mind rather than struggling with physiological effects of perquisite courses. I'm not a victim of prerequisite courses but I have many friends who are victims and I know what they passed through, some could not Graduate cos of shame and some graduated with less than 2.00 CGP after extra years. I don't know how important perquisite courses are, in some schools , but in UJ, they don't take it easy and many student union has raised panels against this perquisite stuff but all efforts did not yield any positive results. Better if those CO courses are not perquisite then you can continue! |

GODKID98: Story 4 d gods!!
what sort of rubbish z dat??.....Nigeria hz been in recession since 2014,yet,we bought a bag of rice for 8k then!! You don't even know what it called recession.. Please go to google and do your research on what is called financial economics You are buying rice 8k in 2014 cos they are deceiving you and borrowing money to fill in their mess, exchanging foreign money reserved with unrealistic things (toothpick, macthes and so on ) for their own personal embezzlement. but now PMB is trying to divert the economy and encourage our local products.. please let be wise and don't let us be fool again, this is elite world and not the days of our fathers who have been deceit. Nigeria must be great AGAIN God bless FRNigeria God bless PMB |

ayusco85: Let me agree with u that it's a gradual process. But what is the government doing to ensure the price doesn't skyrocket Once the govt banned rice importation and encourage local production and consumption, there will be competition because many people will invest in rice farming and the companies will beat their price down so as to gain customers, so the price can't skyrocket, it will keep coming down once there is mass production and consumption. you understand now |

ayusco85: Rice whose quantity isn't enough to feed one state
This is no good news.. Quote me anywhere Rome wasn't built in a day.. Its a gradual process, with time then we can produce more and more. Let start from somewhere, let encourage our local product and we shall be great again. The rice might not be able to feed the whole nation now but it will contribute to some extent and soon we can produce more and more! |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: What Is The Chances Of Getting A Job In Nigeria With Foreign Degrees by hoodmenconcept(op): 9:25pm On Sep 11, 2016 |
Mille: They actually do.
Just that most employers are skeptical of foreign degree as it means they MIGHT have to pay more. I can't study in the UK and an employer will offer me 60k/month.
Btw, I wonder why people come back to Nigeria immediately after getting the degree. Stay back there and work and if they don't allow you, go to other countries.
With a recognized foreign degree, you have more chances of immigrating to immigrant friendly countries like Canada and Australia etc. Thank you, I'm getting what I want... I actually finished my first degree in Nigeria and currently pursing my masters degree in South Africa and I will be through by next year, so I'm trying to find out if I should come back for a job or stay back, seriously I really don't know what to do right now... |

eph12: You will still face the same recruitment process those with Nigerian certs will face. And if that's the case your ability to convince the interviewer is what will get you the job. If the Nigerian cert holder does that better then you know what that means. Your foreign cert won't save you.
As for me, if I should go outside to study then I don't have plans of coming back or there's a job waiting for me back home. Yes, i understand your point but getting a job in abroad is getting difficult everyday because of many circumstances, i can't really explain. Hint: Immigration law Nigeria integrity has been tampered with , we have not been given much attention because of Nigeria spoil image. |

A Nigerian has a constitutional right to move around in to any part of the country lawfully. did you read the bills very well... A herdsman is restricted from moving with arms, never said they don't have right to move anywhere they want but not with firearms. You n mumu are like Jacob Zuma

Excuzeme: You people must think beyond your nose. China-kwe's actions goes beyond just naming the Dog Buhari (not comparable to those abusing Jona-daft because they dislike his corruption enmeshed govt).
In case of Jonathan, they did not write his name on a Dog They did not do what affects his Religion (You know Nigerians and Religion, especially Muslims) They did not parade the Dog everywhere, with the name written on both sides of the body) Their Landlord was not named Jonathan They did not do it when they were strangers in another part of the country They did not EAT the Dog they claimed they love.
Buhari is not the one prosecuting this man, it is the Police who duty it is to ensure that no one disturbs the Peace of the state.
He should have named his Dog Odumegwu Ojukwu or Nnamdi Kanu.
Let him count himself lucky that he did such silly act in the SW where people are very tolerant and forgiving, if he did it in the North, he would be history by now. I'm sorry but you are a shameless man; Are you saying people in the North are animals ? |

ovieigho: Am sorry if I don't get the drift here, is the federal government involved in this? Because the only names that keep coming up is folawiyo and governor ambode!! In the case of delta state with massive oil wells have never heard the voice of the governor handling the scheme of things its an all federal government affair in ND. Pls I need clarification I wanted to say this too but I think to my own little understanding... FG could not funds the searching but Folawiyo risk the funds as a business man with Lagos state govt which will now be partnership with FG after it has yielded positive result. Just like what some economist has advised FG to do on northern discovery of oyel, in other not to risk the funds and not having positive result or low quantity, if a private company can risk the funding then they can partner with the FG if there is positive result. You can add your own ideas... |
