Why do we always have news of tanker explosion in Nigeria?

I have checked other western nations extensively, and I can't find this reoccurring menace.

When something happens once, you can overlook, but when it becomes consistent with loss of lives, one has to very critical.

One thing I know, we pay zero attention to safety in Nigeria. These tankers are carrying very volatile products and should be subject to routine checks.

How are these tankers built? Are there compartments inside tankers to reduce volatility? Do drivers undergo routine checks for leaks or cracks?

Tankers are high risk vehicles, and should be subjected to very very strict regulations before they hit the road.

my 2 cent sha.

You're very correct. This is why most insurance companies don't insure tankers because of all these factors. Imagine the amount of claims the insurance coy that insure the truck that caused this accident will settle.

A lot of safety precautions and regulations are needed for trucks operation on this country.

This cut should be unnecessary with all the remittance companies make to them on monthly basis with little or no claims.

Most Nigerian workers are not aware of their rights in respect of making claims from NSITF when involved in work place accident

From your experience, does it consume much data?

Like how many mb average to watch match
It consume less compared to other apps. Highest, 200mb should do a full match

Exactly. Football is the only thing keeping many of us. I have a free to air satellite with over 250 channels but it's still pointless to me as there are no live matches. I just need EPL, Laliga and UCL and I will ditch DSTV.
There are apps like CNF pro among several others on play store that show live matches.

So if I understand you correctly, if the big three increase the price of their cement, and the small players maintain the old price, people will choose to buy from the more expensive big players? Right?

You guys are obsessed with your "they don't like us" mentality.

Imagine one of you saying Ibeto was richer than Dangote before government support.

Any support that Dangote got is available to any player in his industry, so Ibeto got the same support as Dangote with cement. Dangote, however, is able to take more advantage of the support because they are bigger.
Mention the small players and their coverage and amounts of cement they produce per year.

Fyi, I am not an Igbo or an ethnic bigot, I so much careless.

I am hearing that term for the first time.
Impressive
I just checked the meaning and it doesn't fit the cement market structure.
Dangote has an upper hand and can be equalled with monopoly except that there are smaller firms trying to produce their own products.
You're right to an extent. The three largest producers of cement; Dangote, Bua and Lafarge dictates the tune of the market while others follow. None of the three is a small producer. They are all in alliance. For instance, the recent hike in price was carried out simultaneously by the three.

Ambode will be rejected by majority of geopolitical zones in Lagos State, but Epe will stand by his side.

Other parts of Lagos identified him as the only governor since 1999 that abandoned projects of his predecessors at detriment of the populace.
You're right, he did wonderfully well in Epe. I feel they should allow other axis like Badagry and Ikorodu this time around. These two Axis as far as I know are yet to produce any governor.

Yes, even sweeter than yam.

There are some local yams we grew up knowing, called ISU Ewura, haven't seen them in ages.

They were good subs for the conventional yams and they grow anywhere then.

They are joking if it's the same obasanjo farms that is in Ota where I live. They have the best power supply in Ogun state if not even in Nigeria. I am sure they have nothing less than 23.5 hours per day.
You are very correct. I stayed there for years. Was there days ago, they enjoy light light anything. Very rare for prolong blackout to happen. I guess it's courtesy of the TCN station towards Ijagba.

Houses have significantly appreciated and the environment changed due to influx of pple as a result of the stable power in that axis.

Nairaland777:

It's been a long ride between me and MTN. I made a purchase of 75GB from MTN for 16,000naira through MYMTN app on 9th of February, and transferred money to their auto-generated Wema bank account number.

The transfer was successful, even the MYMtn app told me it was successful, only for me not to get the data I paid for. I reported the case to MTN, they told me after 24 to 48 hours I should get an auto refund.

I waited but still didn't get a refund. I felt like this is one way MTN earns extra money from their customers. angry They kept telling me to go to my bank to get my refund if I haven't received it yet. I emailed my bank, went to my bank, even threatened my bank with CBN if I didn't get my refund back. My bank assured me that they haven't received any refund.

So I told my bank to send my bank statement to MTN cr banking email as proof that I haven't received any refund.

That made no difference to them, MTN still told me the exact same thing, that I should visit my bank for refund, can you imagine this MTN? Even after doing what they asked me to do, I was told the EXACT SAME THING AGAIN.

So I decided to involve NCC, it was only then that MTN called me that they didn't receive the money I sent to them, telling me to visit my bank. I told them if they truly made an auto refund they should give me the transaction number of the auto refund so I can give my bank to ask why I haven't received it. Still nothing.

It was very frustrating, trying to get my hard earned money back from MTN, and being told the same USE LESS message of "please visit your bank if you haven't gotten your autorefund."

The time of victory came when I visited Wema Bank to enquire about the Wema Bank account I sent the money to, it was named CORALPAY draw PG, I was told that it was a virtual account made for MTN to be passed through a payment processor, that they didn't have direct access to it at Wema. So I called MTN again, and asked to talk to the support team. Luckily for me, one of the support team had worked in the bank before, he told me to report the transaction as erronous transfer, since my bank could not lodge it as a failed transaction.

So on the 26th March 2024, about 45 days after the failed transaction, I got my money back from MTN.

In case you also have failed transaction issue with telecommunication providers and they are giving you use less instructions, just involve NCC customer protection department, and report the transaction at your bank as erroneous transfer, so your bank will contact the beneficiary and financial institution to have the money recalled back into your account. Also let the network providers support team (NOT customer care team) know that you have reported the transaction as erroneous transfer to your bank manager through a written letter, and that they will receive a recall request from your bank.

This is the ONLY way to get your money bank. It's not by going to MTN office or threatening anyone.
This is highly frustrating. I am having similar issue. I bought airtimethrough the useless MyMtnApp, I was debited and not credited. I have contacted mtn, they referred me to the bank, the bank is asking that I give them five working days. It is crazy, parting with that huge sum at this time.
