The Kaura district that I know have good road networks except a few inner roads in areas like the Dubai market road that leads to Games village ,American intl school road that connects to Area 1,
I wish to know where this construction is being done cos most major roads in Kaura are long done to a large extent.

Wike is really trying in FCT, wish he can be replicated in other states.

Been using this router for about 2-3 years and its been great until around 3-4 months ago when I noticed it stops browsing once it’s almost 10 days or 2 weeks until my subscription ends, the speed reduced drastically and becomes slow asf it’s always around 2mb until it finally expires this has been happening continuously btw.

You may consider buying the new Airtel smart connect out door unit for 25k for 50mbps.

It has been serving well.

The useless installer want to dupe me. Because I said I want mine install today, he said I will have to cover his transportation cost to my house and I told him no problem. This is 8:15pm and I have not seen him. So I just called him now not to bother with the agreement as I won't cover any transportation cost again when they bring it.

This is samething that was done for you same day without additional fee 😳😳

lol, hustler installer. He will bring it. If he doesnt bring it before noon tomorow threaten him that you.'re going to their office to report not receiving your device.

Thanks so much Boss for your time. I can see it has no screw. I'll buy it when my subscription expires instead of renewing. I'll cut out that place where there's supposed to be screws to reveal where the physical sim should be. I'm sure there would be a sim slot hidden there 😀

I just saw this elsewhere, there are uncovered screws here.

none of the people who got the Esim version have uploaded any picture or given us an update about it which isn't fair enough. If i had it, i would have shown or updated us here. I'm sure there would be a way out but until we know what it really looks like

you don't mean it. Please can i see the picture of the Outdoor Unit? There are 2 small white stickers that covers the screws. Are you sure there are no screws? Pls help send a picture

It is exactly as decsribed, the white stickers are plastics in my own and are not tearable. I will try later today to check again and take pics. Also on on admin site, the e-sim page has the attached which implies that e-sim was activated and the seed sim is not.

Glad you're enjoying it too. The ODU makes a lot of sense. The ODU in stock presently is Esim. A friend bought it yesterday. Airtel does not want us removing the sim anymore

Sure, It does make sense. Seems you're right, I havent seen the sim port, everything is sealed up and no screw self. That will be a sort of blow to some of us that are mobile.

Installation of my device and that of a neighbour were done yesterday.

There was no need of breaking any wall as the cables were passed through our windows and we are still able to lock the windows. The connection cable is very tiny that it passed through windows without issues.

Only the outer walls were screwed just to hang the ODU.

That 5G router has been on "restocking" status in their apps for a long time.

This ODU is not available on their apps and my location is quite far from any official Airtel shop.

Physical Official shop is your best bet.

Maybe and maybe not. Technology may also be different. It also seems they're phasing out the 5g router.

Yes, they open on Saturdays but close by 4pm.

As per the speed, as akinremedy has said i don't think it has effect if the antenna is in the room as far as there's good Airtel network in your area.

Lemme share my experience here.

I went to Airtel office with the unlimited 5g router because I was engaged online and needed significant amount of data, while at the office my speed test on the router was around 5.6/8mbps but when my ODU was registered and I was told to use it , the ODU antenna was on the rep desk inside the office and I did a speedtest, I got 48mbps in the same area.
So, I think there's a huge difference.

I think it is better to get that and save extra 5k monthly with higher mbps

I think it will if the building do not have a channel for passing cable. Mine will be installed tomorrow, I just registered it today.

Obviously the network strength is better compared to the 5g router also myself and other customers grilled them at their office today about that effectiveness of the ODU they assured us that this is way different, the installer I met also confirmed it to be better than other devices.

I doubt. I just got my ODU today and at their office I did speedtest with it, I got 48mbps. The rep also confirm that the free one month is started with 50mbps.
I think you may have to check with your device if you're not getting up to the 50mbps.

Okay aside the minister of interior Tunji ojo, Comm- Bosun Tijani, Wale Edun, Wike, Umahi, Minister of electricity- Adelabu, Tugar of foreign affairs , Alake of mines, Tunji Alausa of education education that are often times in the news we hardly hear of others.

I remember during Obasanjo times, the various ministers, is it Frank Nweke Jnr, Labaran maku, Oby Ezekwisili, Ngozi Iweala, Audu Ogbe of Agriculture and many more were always in faces and popular but the same can't be said now.

Where are these ministers in this adminstration: defence, health agriculture , blue economy, transportation, housing, culture and tourism, science and tech, Labour, Women affairs after Uju Kennedy left, Youth, police affairs. We hardly hear from them.

This is interesting. I remember lots of these guys then as commissioners, they were always in the news because they were always on their toes unlike now that we don't know most of our commissioners and ministers.

I was informed by one of their agents that the device is actually not owned by the customer. It's more of a lease, and that's why they send an installer to your home. They take note of your address and probably why they take pictures. He said they would retrieve it if you fail to subscribe after a period of time. But I doubt they can actually go around retrieving devices from customers.

Same thing they wrote on the agreement page while I was buying the 5g router. They wrote that I must subscribe always and if I do not for 3 consecutive months they will retrieve the router. I laughed and carry my device.

I will soon get this ODU, the fact that it's 50mps for less gives me joy.

They want to counter MTN fiberEx which is not everywhere.

Sure, you can do it yourself but the installer must do his job by hanging it wherever he deems it fit because he has to take pictures in that same location to show and prove that indeed he has done his job. After he leaves, you might do as you wish with it but 💯, it must be hanged by the installer 😁

It has a different 10 metre cable for the connection that comes with the Router and YES, the sim is meant to be in the Outdoor Unit which means the device is rainproof. Also everything you need to mount it has been provided in the box

I perceive one can do the connection himself even if there is no installer around since I might opt for the ODU to be closer because of sim remover while mobile.

It was mounted on my roof, (face board). I removed it and kept it in my living room to make it easy to remove the sim whenever i want to. It comes with a back up battery that powers the device for 3 hours 30 minutes. It would have lasted more but the fact that it powers both the indoor and outdoor devices simultaneously. The device is good i must say because i get 5G network with the ODU which i don't get with my Airtel 5G Router.

So the SIM is designed to be in the out door unit and not the router inside the house.

Also, I believe there is a different cable that was used to link the ODU to the indoor unit because the yellow LAN cable in this pic is short to run the connection from your faceboard to the router inside.
