Whyem15: Like Samuel said days ago, a terrorist without his gun is just another villager. They will just lay low during the offensive only to reorganize when the offensive stops and conditions are favorable. That's why I said relentless offensive. And except if they are highly trained(which I doubt) how long do you think they can lay low without terrorizing people? You know they derive pleasure from doing just that right? How are they going to reorganize when there's continuous surveillance, mop ups and busting of illegal trade routes similar to what Algeria is doing? |

Whyem15: Last last, we go realize say the solution to our problem isn't really force. We are only treating symptoms and not the cause of the problems and even doing poorly at that.
Instead of apportioning blames to different people/groups for the unfortunate incident, why not discuss a viable solution to solve the security problems? Economic revitalization and human capacity development should be the long term solutions, but for now what we need is massive military operations. The solution now is a relentless offensive at a scale larger than what we had before the 2015 elections. After we've driven the terrorists out of the border, full time border surveillance and counter measures can be put in place All these hanky panky of repentance is not just it, the Yorubas have a proverb that sums this up well but can't type it. The security threat must be eliminated before any development can take place |

klhazhik: Well, this days, I'm no more amazed when Some bad news come out of the N.E and I see some monikers throwing grammars all around to castigate the Armed Force's effort to sustaining peace and sanity in the region.
Same people will be the first to criticize The Armed Forces when having a bad day...
One even talk about the said 20.10.2020 Lekki Massacre. A massacre with no dead nor missing person confirmed!
Rest in Peace to the Dead, but Do you ask yourself how BH/ISWAP were still able to disappear in the middle of Clearance Operations?
Abi them be Ghost?
Las las, na still some of this so called Villagers/Farmers dey spy give them BH/ISWAP! Does your last statement justify the killings? You guys disrespect the dead so much. The troops are trying, this event is just unfortunate. The major problem is not with the armed forces, the problem is political will. We saw what happened in 2015 when there was political will |

Tobiloba2407: I thought there was already a contract in place, for the construction of hangar and runway to be built by the USA Exactly, that's why I said they just want to cash out. And also how will one forfeit $493m worth of contract because of runway?? Runway that's good enough for c-130s and alpha jets. |

thesicilian: The passport was already expired, good you got a police report. Not an immigration officer though, but I think you can just apply for a passport renewal and state your reasons as "expired". Then if they request for the old passport you just show them the police report and any copy of the data page you have Hmm, thank you |

My bag containing a number of vital documents was collected at gun point a month ago. My international passport was inside the bag, the passport was issued in 2013 and expired in 2018. Can I apply for a fresh passport or should I apply via lost passport. I reported the incident to the police and got a police report. |

Geronimoe: Truthfully, I don't know if that's a JF-17 wing. But have you ever seen one with a NAF roundel on it's wing? Someone wrote about the plane still not delivered and that article was written four days back, still in November. "... unconfirmed report on social media said Nigeria is negotiating for 40 more aircrafts", this is new info for me, even though it's unconfirmed. It is one of the NAF's JF-17, the image has been shared on this thread a while ago. Nigeria only paid for 3 aircrafts don't let SSBN deceive you with his fallacies. The cited source, DefenseNigeria is known for making ridiculous claims and spreading misinformation. |

EastisBae: Imagine the kind of primitive cronyism politics they're playing in this state. A governor will use state resources to be buying latest cars for their stooges
Absolute bad governance. SMH! I don't know the source of the funds for this vehicle, but GSM has been buying cars and cabs for people since 2015. He also gives 10/20k grant to all Oyo students in tertiary institutions since then. He's a rich man and with the pivotal role Taiye currency played in his election, rewarding him with a car from his personal finance is not bad governance |

https://dod.defense.gov/News/Contracts/Contract-View/Article/1700404/ SternProphet: If people don't understand simple procurement procedures they should not be commenting. Some people still have their simple minds. To 're convert pilots alone is more than a year. The planes are not in a showroom. The FLIR systems, rockets, rocket kits are not available in a mall. The planes are probably coming in 3s and 4s starting from 2020 rka2: Contract to be completed 2024. Deliveries will begin 2019/2020 and the final aircraft will be delivered in 2024. Roughly 3 a year. rka2: Go and look at contracts around the world. The Egyptians ordered the Rafale some years back. They got a few aircrafts within about 2 years because they were diverted from aircrafts being built for France.
Check the Brazilian orders for the Mi-35M and Caracal and see the delivery time table. I can go on.
It is easy to try and mock someone. Contract completion means all aspects of the order will be completed by 2024 i.e. aircrafts, ammo, infrastructure, ground based equipment etc. |

Imagine this guy, if you understand much about procurement can't you just educate others without insult. He addressed your post with a similar tone, no bad blood here. You make mockery of a process, someone makes a rebuttal, no need to get all worked up |

doziex: Finally, hesco barriers which is the mordern way of rapidly engineering an impregnable base defense. I had suggested NA adopt it asap since 2012 on beegeagles blog. To no avail. The US used it all thru Iraq and Afghanistan. US introduced it to Amisom how have done a good job with it, but have also suffered some harrowing base overruns with it as NA has with out it.
Anywho, I am seeing buratai deploy hesco barrier defense technology for the first time. . |

abiodunalasa: The length of the gun is 940mm If the stock is retracted it is 870mm
Now the barrel alone is about 419mm thats almost half the size of the entire rifle if the stock is retracted
Well, the long barrel make up for the 600meters effective kill range.
But the length is still a no no in a CQB.
I hope we will modify the length without affecting the Kill range. It has a CQB variant
