..but you quickly run to the same US, shamelessly, with bowl in hand begging to buy their jets...even without the approval of NASS, hu?...Some Nairalanders are truly intelligent...
....about tribalism...At least I am better than Buhari...If I am the president I would never put only my tribesmen in all the security positions...
Next...
Do you really believe that all Nairalanders here are in the Nigerian government?. I have no connection with Buhari at all
So again, keep me out of your tribalism when you dont even know who is who on Nairaland
Just because a person do not agree with you, that doesn't make that person a "terrorist", what kind of narrow thinking is that?
plaetton: All these dummys castigating Ben Bruce seem to have comprehension problems. It simply amazes me that all you guys all seem to think in one direction only. I wonder why it appears so difficult to understand the very very important point that he is making or trying to get across.
The issue here is not about branding, but about the actual manufacture of the jerseys. After , Nike Does NOT manufacture anything. Nike contracts the manufacturer of all their products to sweatshops in Third World (shithole) countries in Guatemala, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, etc. A lot of Nike's products have been found to be made by child labor in slave like conditions in these countries.
The point the Ben Bruce is asking is that why shouldn't Nigerian labour, ABA manufacturing prowess to be specific, not have been considered for the manufacturer of Nigeria's official Jerseys, an enterprise that would have created jobs and $100m into our national coffers ? Isn't such that one of the functions of a government ? To woo and encourage foreign investments , especially in an area in which we have local talent has been proven to be abundant ? Are ABA manufacturing prowess not ripe or good enough for international manufacturing contracts from the likes of Nike and other sports wear brands ?
Isn't this where a responsible government that wants to create jobs come in and play a role ?
Ben Bruce is not criticizing Nike's branding or marketing rights. He is criticizing all of us, all Nigerians , our small mentality, our inability to think beyond the periphery.
I agree 100% with your post, it was brilliantly explained
buceta: I'm visiting Nigeria from the U.S, and Lagos is the most ridiculous place I have ever seen. Why are the people in this city so disorganized? Does this have something to do with the Yoruba culture?
You have chickens playing around in sewage, kids playing in mountains of garbage. Donkeys walking on the sidewalk, people walking in the road. Goats shitting in the street. No maintenance of buildings, no drainage, shitty food, shitty internet, shitty everything. Aren't you people ashamed to have foreigners come to a place like Lagos?
Instead of complaining, you should have the ability to give constructive criticism
The sign of intelligence is to transform an unpleasant situation into a pleasant one
Please provide all the solutions to make the city of Lagos a better place
conehead2018: thanks Mr governor for patronizing anamco.
Marcopolo Collaborates With Anambra state Vehicle Manufacturing Company To Supply Lagos with new City buses (Picture)
It is no news that the new Air-Conditioned Lagos Blue Buses have started rolling in, the buses made their first stop at the newly commissioned Ikeja Bus Terminus.
The interesting thing about these buses is that they have the physically challenged in mind as there is provision for them too.
A close look at these buses shows that they are Marcopolo buses. Marcopolo buses have a joint collaboration with Nigeria’s bus plant ANAMCO in Anambra state, Nigeria.
