What do you mean by ACTIVATE.

if you have bought a domain and have paid for it, it should be ACTIVE as in ENABLED, as in ONLINE.

If you want to link it to a blog, thats another task altogether.

- what happens when a non-Nigerian stumbles on your site? perhaps looking for Nigerian news. First of all, he/she might find it hard spelling jagaban, talk less of typing xclusive instead of exclusive.

- even me sef, the probability of typing www.jagabanExclusive.com into the browser is higher than jagabanXclusive.com

In choosing a domain name, you should think globally,,,,,except you choose .com.ng which is local to us.

I would advise you to go for .com first, and if all options are exhausted, choose .com.ng

except your blognameNG.com really really makes sense, as in if its a complete word, like blognamiNG.com then use it, else ditch it.

What domain name do you have in mind? Your domain must be catchy, easily pronounceable and rememberable.

Well, www.nijablog.com.ng isnt a good choice for an entertainment blog, but so is jagabanxclusive. The probability that you would pronounce your websites URL to someone and the person will get it wrong is very high.

Just to advise: a good domain name will either naturally flow with the niche or something that is catchy on its own.

Appearance:
I dont see anything different from your old and new site.

Content:
Your font is too small. An average person has to squinch eyes just to see the light green text. Unfortunately, you have have a white background

A great place to start from is blogger.com /
- create an account there using a creative name.
- the final url will be something like: misscokie..com / misscokie.

Allow your blog to gain traction before moving on to a hosted environment with your own domain name(.com)

1) what host are u using? you host would have its own tool installed
2) wordpress has several file manager / upload plugins, Joomla and Drupal has theirs as well.
3) if you are using a custom script, you can get many free upload scripts you can install

Its a noble decision you have made to have your own blog, at least for self-representation.

I'm usually very blunt, but if you don't mind my asking:

1) do you have any published material...."your works"? Considering that it has taking you "many months/years" to come to this decision, I'm assuming you have some published material already. Oya, share the links.

2) As noble as the decision is, you should start it on the right footing, and earning revenue shouldn't be the first/primary motive...... now or never.

Your driving inner passion in whatever you write about is what will bring the revenue.

If the passion, the inner drive, the self motivation, self excitement, the "me-factor" isn't there, the truth is you would be writing blogposts for the sake of writing blogposts, but they wont flow from within you, the originality wont be there. Thats why many NL bloggers are copy pasters.

Even if you do research online about a topic and you are putting "the meal" together, it is your inner drive that would bring out the best in your pen.

So its right to ask: do you have a passion to blog or perhaps you have been seeing many "acclaimed bloggers" screaming "I'm making this/that amount of dollars daily from my blog, etc"...... and then you feel, what they can do, why cant I do it?
