I understand you. I will advise you to shun the thought of seeking help or housing from anybody. Some people are all for it and will accomodate you in an heartbeat, other people wont do it and this is not because they are not good people, its because we are different people who have things we can tolerate and things we cannot.

I was housed by a friend for a day and I got my apartment the next day and moved in. I didn't have a bed then but I bought blanket and sheet and I slept on the carpet. Heck, the light was not not even on, i bought candles. I had prepared for my accommodation at least 6 months straight before I left Nigeria. So I wasn't bothered. It is when we are expecting too much from other people not forgetting that we are all humans and different individuals that we begin to feel disappointment. This is America, everybody has their own struggles
