Myki007: Please Gurus in the house, I strongly need your advice urgently, my program started 7th of September, and I tried to defer it to next term, but the school said they don't defer, they either refund your tuition to you or leave it with them and reapply next fall. I had no faith in my application as I stated and asked them to refund. And my refund was approved yesterday which they said will take 4 to 6 weeks, then my visa approval came this afternoon. Kindly advice best decision to make at this point please write to the school with immediate effect stating you would like to withdraw or cancel your refund plan as you would like to continue your academics with them. |

Rach622: The course I applied for starts in May 2022. However, my international passport expires April 2022..I am yet to submit my Visa application. The passport agent I spoke to says it'll cost 55k for me to get a new passport now since the current one is not expired. Your thoughts please? Also, can I submit my application with this current passport? What if it expires before I get PPR?? Please what do you advise I would advice you submit, and apply for your passport renewal. The old passport would remain active until you get the new plus you can update Ircc once the new passport is out afterall the new one carries the old and new number on it. |

I believeyou should wait for IRCC COS ONCE YOUR VISA IS OUT even the school would keep your slot for next fall usor00: hi house, am a may 25th applicant still expecting my PPR and my school have started since on the 6th of September and I have deferred my admission to 2022 fall since my program is only in class program, and has only fall start. The school sent me a letter informing me that since I defer my admission it not a guarantee of admission for fall 2022. Should i upload the letter from the school or wait for IRCC to make a decision.Thanks. |

The form A won't have been cancelled since paymentwas made before the school cancelledhis admission, the date the form A was made as long as it's before the cancellation would have been your evidence that payment has been made before deadline. Globalk: not yet , has paid Tru form A but never reached school bf cancelled, so we cancelled the form A. What's your advice for this guy, he's so depressed now |

Thank's alot for this info. Thaiy: For a course that requires you be present physically, and you're expected to defer, then defer. Reason being you do not have control over IRCC timeframe of application final decision, and as classes would have begun, you did miss out on tests, presentations and other activities requiring you presence.
I advice you defer should your school ask.
It will end in praise. |

But what if the person course requires in-person and the school requires a compulsory deferral what do you advice should be done? Thaiy: Same happened to me, got it this morning, plus I already updated IRCC about it with new LOA. However, I reached my school for an annulment of the new letter and requested for a continuance letter which I will forward to IRCC when I receive it.
Since you have not got the new LOA, reach out to your school, tell them about the new development stop the deferral, begin classes online while you prepare to travel in the coming weeks. |

GOD IS GREAT! I couldn't have done it without His grace over me throughout the journey even when I lost hope on the application. I remember finding this thread 3 days after submitting my application, and I felt bad because I made alot of mistakes and didn't include alot of documents in my application, I wanted to withdraw the whole application, but after reading through the thread, I got an insight that all applications are different, any application can be approved or declined, even the ones you least expect, so I became calm and waited. Your Testimony too is neigh, just be calm.
My Tips (From my Experience); 1) Apply for your study VISA at least 6 months before your School's resumption date. 2) When your Application has exceeded 3/4 months without any update, I suggest you send them mails or webforms 3 weekdays in a week between 5am-7am till you get your VISA decision (Your tone in the E-mails should be extremely polite). 3) When your Application has exceeded 3/4 months, you can try sending a mail to an MP (Member of Parliament) of where your school is located in Canada to help you out. Although not all would be willing to help (Mine wasn't). 4) After your Application, only send documents through Webforms when it is very necessary or sent for by your V.O because most times, these documents lead to major delays in your VISA decision.
I hope this helps alot of people. |

Please note that there was no update whatsoever after the usual bio-metric request at the beginning. There was no ghost update indicating that eligibility has started, Nothing! So, if you haven't received any update, there's a possibility that yours is being reviewed. |
