ChriGo: Which bank?...try Gtb master card....I tried with GTB and Stanbic Mastercards no way |
Hello house. I am applying for study permit online and I tried paying the visa fee with my Mastercard debit but payment failed. Those that applied online before, how did you go around this problem? |
ChriGo: lol....oga deebla...how far na@Chrigo. Since you joined this thread you have made it lively and I cherish your energy. But seriously, what else do you do apart from posting comments on this thread? |
earthgreeners: All praise to almighty Allah...May Allah continue to guide you and help you all the way. You deserve it brother. Congrats! |
The Norwegian prime minister has spent an afternoon working undercover as a taxi driver. Jens Stoltenberg says he wanted to hear from real Norwegian voters ahead of his campaign for re-election in September. The prime minister wore an Oslo taxi driver's uniform and only revealed his identity once he was recognised. Al Jazeera's Catherine Stancl reports. http://aje.me/19lImyb |
Kicon: Hello My Good people,Do you really have to renew now if you are applying online? Why not wait untill you are called for medicals and then submit the old and new passport. |
uchi4jah: Klm royal dutch airline from lagos to amsterdam then to toronto. The immigration process and others are pretty easy. It took less dan 5mins to get my study permit.Thank Good for the safe flight and wish u success. Is the name of your school written on your study permit? |
rexxy09: Paper Application at vfs on the 29th of AprilGood profile but I have some questions: What did you present to CDHC as your home tie? The payslips you included, are they from your current job or former employer (NNPC)? |
smile13: I didn't experience that but I can say it's most likely your internet connection speed is either too low or you are uploading more than the required size permitted which is 4MB for all documents to be uploaded. Check these two things. Cheers.@smile13. Thanks alot. I used a faster internet service as you suggestedand it worked. |
Please I need help. For the past two days I have been trying to upload my documents on myCIC but I've been getting an error message saying: 'Bad Gateway'. Has anybody experienced that before? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks |
@ayaba21. So sorry to hear that sad news. However, failure teaches success. Do you remember what Thomas Edison (the chap that invented the light bulb that everybody enjoys) said when he was told that he failed 99 times to make the light bulb? He said: I did not fail 99 times but LEARNT 99 WAYS NOT TO MAKE A LIGHT BULB. Read the advice given to you by Siga and the key word there is: APPLY ALONE. It might have appeared to the VO that the whole family has planned to immigrate to Canada using student route. But if you apply alone next time, your family in Nigeria will serve as part of your home ties. Good luck next time, if you decide to try again...I hope you will. |

Please is there anyone in the forum who is presently at University of British Columbia? I just received my admission letter for a PG programme starting in Jan 2014. I need first hand info on the city from a Nigerian student perspective. |
Check times higher education ranking. You will see that Robert Gordon University is nowhere to found. I suggest she apply to University of Aberdeen which is among the top 200 universities in the world. |

What would have turned out a bloody attack in Jos, Plateau State capital was Friday night averted by men of the Special Task Force (STF) as unknown gunmen, threw a 36-Hand Grenade in to a Mosque located at Bukuru Expressway, in Jos South Local Government Area of the state. But before it went off, the STF men had taken charge and detonated the grenade. A witness said at least 10 persons were observing their prayers in the mosque when the grenade was thrown, and immediately followed by sporadic gunshots. Confirming the incident, the Media and Information Officer of the STF, Captain Salisu Mustapha in a statement said “this is to inform the general public and good people of Plateau State that there was an attempted explosion at a mosque located along Bukuru Expressway in Jos South Local Government Area Saturday at about 8:30 pm. www.thisdaylive.com/articles/worshipers-escape-death-as-gunmen-throw-grenade-into-mosque/141018/ |
earthgreeners: No Problem Boss, just make sure you play the cards right....I wlda suggested u move for a research based since ur UK degree is a taught program.....U can easily change to a PhD after ur first year in a research based program....Your suggestion is noted bro and thanks. I have Merit in my MSc. I also have got three unconditional PhD admissions in U of Leeds, Newcastle and Manchester all in the UK. But these are pretty expensive and no prospect of getting funding. However, I may likely get funding after the first two years in Canada. It may interest you to know that I have published one research paper and currently working on the second one and I plan to go on self sponsorship. |
@Log1: I applied for course-based masters in U of Calgary. Waiting for decision. @Don Cipher: My ultimate aim is to complete a PhD by transferring from MSc after competing coursework. I learnt that it is easier to get a supervisor when one is on ground. Thanks @Siga: Thank you for the advice. I do not plan to hide any info. |
earthgreeners: LIST OF FALL 2013 APPLICANTSMasters in Chemical Engineering (U of Regina, U of British Columbia); Masters in Petroleum Engineering (U of Calgary). This is going to be my second master's degree though. I already have an MSc from the UK in 2010 in a different subject. I hope this will not be a problem when I apply for visa. I have also traveled to France, The Netherlands, Germany, USA, Japan and UAE - I guess travel history is not an issue. Any constructive comments will be appreciated. |

what's the mileage and VIN pls? |
Written by: Darrie Dashman 19th October, 2010 Source: http://consciencedaily.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=297&Itemid=1 Hello, can you please tell me of any news channels, news papers and internet classifieds where i can reach the mass public of nigeria about almost every car from toronto being exported to nigeria has the kilometers rolled back? I want the public to know that these people from Toronto are buying high mileage unsafe cars most with over 200,000 km and many over 300,000km and rolling back the mileage to less than 100,000km, they even remove the check engine and brake lights on dash so your people have no idea what they are driving. I see it happen every day as I work next door to a shipper, I watch them roll back the kilometers to at least 20 cars a day and that only this one shipper in Mississauga on Tompkin and Kamato. Innocent people from Nigeria are being ripped of by their own people from Toronto and they are being endangered because they have no idea what shape their car is really in. I want to inform the Nigerian public that they can check on websites the real mileage of their cars such as carfax and car proof which gives the cars actual kilometers and if its been in a accident. Ive posted this information on a bunch of online websites but need your help to reach the whole market about what is happening. If you can give me information on news channels and papers and online classifieds that many in Nigeria read it would be highly appreciated in my attempt to shut down these criminals defrauding their own people. Do you know how many Toyota Camry Carolla Sienn, Honda Accord Crv Oddyssy from years 1998-2005 go from Toronto Mississauga to Nigeria with less than 100,000 km? Hundreds every week. The shippers and exporters both roll back the mileage to maximize their profits. Looks on autotrader.com , you wont find one 98-2003 Carolla Camry Accord Oddyssy or Sienna with under 100,000km yet hundreds a week leave Toronto to Nigeria. If you need proof let those buying these cars in nigeria know about carfax and carproof and use it before buying a car. All they have to do is go on line type in the vin number and the cars history will show up. Thank you |
hi Loidee What's the VIN? I want to pay the 2.2m for this car but in two installments and you will deliver to me in Warri. How do you see it? |
