recharged by petrol engine or renewable options?

Please how much do they cost because buying one item for the cost of eleven is same as buying one and stealing 10 items?

I don't understand your questions, but i assume they will be recharged by renewable energy majorly, otherwise, it betrays the main essence of buying them in the first place.

Note, I am not a mouthpiece of the government, just a submission made based on my own little exposure and knowledge on how it works.

Below is a picture of how charging stations look like, this is in Berlin, Germany.

But they're touting it as cleaner for the city. How is it cleaner if you're just running diesel generators instead of diesel bus engines?
Lmao

Well, I am not a mouthpiece of the Lagos State government, I am sure they have means to power the said buses. Apart from the national grid, Lagos has its IPP, and in addition, solar is another clean way to generate power too. So it doesn't have to be generating plants so as not to defeat the emission control goal. Wind turbines is another means, but i don't think Nigeria has enough wind all year round to power them.

So does that address your concern?

Nice one

For your info, these buses would have strategic terminals where they are to be recharged. So it doesn't have anything to do with with the state of electricity in the country, commercial solar systems are good enough to back up the electricity from the national grid and Lagos' IPP.

So no cause for alarm, na maintenance come remain.

Ministerial list that will contain names of regular politicians like El-Rufai, Fashiola, Ganduje is not what we need at the moment. If Tinubu wants to compensate these politicians he should consider them for Ambassadorial posts or something related. We need top notch experts and technocrats both local based and Nigerians based in the diaspora for our country to really move forward. We are tired of having the same set of politicians moving from governorship post to the Senate and from senate to cabinet minister. The president-elect was brilliant enough to come up with the muslim-muslim ticket without which he would have lost the election as a minority southern Muslim who cannot win with another minority northern christian vice presidential candidate. He got that right but the greatest challenge facing him is his cabinet. Let's see if he'll get that right.

He will be under alot of pressure to include those you mentioned, but unlike Buhari who knew close to nothing about 90% of his cabinet members, Tinubu is a more seasoned politician who knows his onions and know what and who he needs to re-oil the engine of Nigeria, and for all our sakes, he can't afford to get it wrong.

As for the Muslim/Muslim ticket, he did what he needed to do to ensure his victory, and it worked, otherwise, he would have lost.
Politics / Re: Crisis Brews In APC Over Ministerial List by humberjade: 1:19pm On Apr 09, 2023
These people just dey disturb themselves, I am sure Tinubu already have written down the names of members of his kitchen cabinet, and the first class ministers at the very least. Suspension or not, it won't change much.

My own is that, though it makes sense to reward your political allies with political appointments, he should ensure round pegs are placed in round holes for key ministries and parastatals. No time for trial and error in the next dispensation.

A failure by Arsenal to win their match away at anfield might just spell doom for the club. Man City and Newcastle away, will be very difficult matches to draw, not to talk of win.

IMO, I know Chelsea will be beaten without sweat, take that to the bank. I am majorly worried about Mancity, Newcastle and Brighton, if we can defeat Liverpool, then I believe we have 85% chance of lifting the title, but for now, it's just 65%. Winning every match until we face Man City is the confidence the boys needs to face Pep Gaurdiola's boys, you don't want to go into the match with a point or 2 lead.

and whatsoever you put on it has to be visible from a quite distant, putting a foundation of low depth won’t mean nothing unless the structure goes a bit high. You must spend 700k bro I know this for a fact because the land opposite my building at oko afo is on sale for 950k and the young guy showing interest needs that amount to put something on ground.

See ehn, the main reason for having something going on on the land isn't for so that people can see from afar, its main purpose is for it to put a potential buyer off without solid documents. For example, if I am taken to a land, and I see something going on there, I will ask more questions than I would on a virgin land. Virgin lands can easily be resold by communities, but lands with activities on it won't be. So that's the whole idea.

and where will you get 700k to fence it after purchasing for at least 900k for a half plot?

Not necessarily fencing, just have something going on there, land to me is like a water, you have to keep water it to safeguard and keep it alive. But generally, I advice people to just buy land in Ogun State, it is growing very fast.

What I meant is that area is to the extreme. Seems to Pass the stage of being called outskirts.
As per the second paragraph, it seems to be unsafe to prospect land on the extreme outskirts in the hope over time it will be valuable for use. The recent trend is that those lands usually end up in dispute as the locals end up reselling the land to other parties once the areas starts to appreciate.

Well, you made solid points. Just like I mentioned, lawyer up while buying it, they know authentic documents to possess to safeguard it. And again, if you keep visiting the place to put something on it from time to time, it will be difficult for the locals to do anything funny. Grease necessary palms too, like the Baale or the community leader. Buy him some assorted wines and give him small cash at intervals.

In all of these, some of the moves I mentioned might not be necessary if you study the environment well. You can even go to the barracks or police station, grease some palms, and they could follow you there like twice too, and then erect a sign board with the inscription "military zone, land not for sale, keep off". grin These measures are far reaching depending on the potential of the land.

Note that every thing, every investment in Nigeria is a risk. Even if you buy liquids with the money, there is no guarantee you won't lose it one way or the other. The naija money markets are not stable, even foreign exchange is a big risk, and crypto, that's even worse, it can make you a millionaire before you go to bed, and a pauper by the time you wake up.

Land wahala and land isn't liquid that what people don't know. Then the country isn't regulated fake papers and scam.

Main reason you need to involve a lawyer when you are buying a piece of land. You have a point about it's liquidity, that's where the location comes in. And that's why I mentioned that he buys it and watch it the value grow, it could take a few years, but it will definitely appreciate.

I recall an old friend of my mum's, she bought 7 plots of land for 125k each sometime around 2009, fast forward to 2013, having become widowed and retired as a teacher sometime along the line, she sold 6 of the 7 plots, used the money to build a solid bungalow and also fund her first daughter's wedding and bought a car too. My mum regretted not buying it back then, saying it was too obscure.

There is hardly anything of value you can buy with 1m now, but you can buy a plot of land around Lagos outskirt or Ogun State if you are in the West. Forget about it for sometime, and watch the value rise.

But make sure it is situated around a place with potential for development in the nearest future. And visit the place and cut the grass from time to time, fence it if possible, just make sure you have something going on there.

You are very right. At least now she's gradually coming back to her senses, albeit a little bit late. I hope for the boy's sake she does something concrete (not just trying to scratch the surface) to turn the tide. She's been a bad mother in that regard, in saner climes, the boy would by now be out of their custody and one of them would have become an ex-con for child abuse.

However, I also think she's either a full housewife, a timid wife, or a traditional wife who summits totally to her husband's orders without questions. Note that she mentioned she was the one who initiated the move to send the boy abroad for his footballing career.

Sad, I can relate abit to this because I was in the same shoes with my father. We don't have an excellent relationship till date because what happened then.

Man wanted me to study medicine but I also wanted to be in the army, and he swore over his dead body having experienced what it was to be a soldier coupled with the loss of my elder brother in the Navy during the Niger Delta crisis.

I got into Ife and left medicine after one year to NDA to my dreams, he was so mad and did all he could to get me out, I suffered ehnn.

It took me years to go home plus fate putting us together in the same unit but as his officer commanding, I would see this man and avoid walking towards him because I knew how he felt about everything and having to salute me everyday till I got redeployed from that unit.

I also had to forgive him too.

Your husband should apologize to him and connect with him emotionally, it wouldn't happen overnight but he should give it a trial.

Seems you don't get it, his father's grandstanding is still ongoing, that man is nor ready to back down. The father his hell bent on damaging the boy physically and psychologically.

Hmm

It is so unfortunate you stood back and watched your husband ruin the life of your first fruit. Considering how long your son has been frustrated out of what he desires to pursue, I pray there is a way back for him.

It is obvious your husband is stubborn, egoistic and self centered. For God's sake, we have hundreds of IT gurus breaking barriers and achieving great things. Likewise, footballers are making tons of money and making their families proud. And the last time I checked, it is easier to make it big and become famous doing both, than hiding away in obscurity inside NAFDAC labs. He just wants a son he can gain everlasting control on and brag with like his friends at his place of work. Everyone has his or her own life to live; different callings and races.

If you don't want to lose your first child, call him when your husband isn't home, ask him what you as his mother can do to turn things around for him. He needs you more than ever and anyone right now. Go on your knees or change it for your husband if need be, to ensure you help redirect his race in life. If possible, raise some cash on your own, and help him achieve his dreams. Otherwise, be ready for the impending doom concerning him (God forbid).

I know of two similar cases, both ended tragically. You have been too relaxed as a mother.

I understand. But I we make a mistake of handing over the country to tinubu, his administration will be the worst unpopular administration.
How can you hand over a country where majority don't like him? Tinubu cannot even get 10% of the total registered voters.
The election is null and void.

I understand your sentiments, but that's how democracy works, the reason why it seem strange to us in Nigeria is because we have never had a 3 horse race in our Presidential election. Even if anyone of them had satisfied the basic requirements of the election, and had won with just 2000 votes, he still would have been declared winner.

So are you telling me if Obi or Atiku had won with similar margin, anyone would have called their victory unpopular? Moreover, irrespective of how he won, he still had a well balanced spread of votes nationally, imagine if Obi had won, having failed woefully in mustering any tangible number of votes in the core North.

What I continue to say is that, Tinubu, Atiku and Obi, non of them is a saint, they all have their baggage, and weren't wholly clean during the just concluded polls. After all these noises, except of course if Buhari doesn't want Tinubu as President, he will be sworn in on May 29. Whether he spends 4 years as President or not is another story for another day beyond May 29.

Even tinubu said it. He said he knows that majority did not vote for him. What again do we want? Since majority didn't vote for him why then did he manage to get the majority vote? This is what INEC must tell us.

Simple maths

He got 8m plus votes, and if you combine the votes of the 3 closest runner ups, that's roughly 15-16m votes. I hope you now understand where the "majority" came from, candidates of PDP and LP, and by extension NNPP, have themselves to blame for gunning for same position on different platforms. They were and prolly still of the same political family, and the bible says that a house that is divided against itself shall not stand.

It is only normal for them to sing the same tune, they belong together, but their greed and ego got the better of them.
