BKayy: You are right. They did to Africa what they are scared of, what nearly wiped most of them out, what created eternal enmity between most of them. Now they have countries based on ethnic groups no matter how small Some are even a large family like Leicheistein, Luxembourg and Monaco. But Africans that are idiotic can't think for themselves. Free themselves from another man's design. Another man's cage. Mehn I dey shame for Africans that call their contraptions country. Until they free themselves, they will forever be pulling each other down and that is what the West wants. An eternal impoverished Africa that pull itself down. They tried the same thing in Malaya-Singapore not knowing that they are dealing with humans. They tried it with the Arabs in Trans- Jordan, UAR, Trucial states etc. All designed to fail but the Arabs showed them that they are humans. They did the same with Indians and Pakistan but as usual those ones proved they are humans. All that proved they are humans divided immediately the white men left but here in Africa, monkeys think the white men are God's. Checkmating themselves forever. Check the countries I listed that separated immediately after the white men left, reversed back to their original map/ethnicity or voluntarily entered another union and see how they progressed. Egypt, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Pakistan, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, etc imagine today some of this large family groups that made a country of themselves are the richest countries in the world, another problem is Africa's adoption of foreign language many don't know how deeply this affects us imagine that as an African you have to know first that there is a word called value before knowing the meaning then talk about creating it but the Europeans, Chinese, Indians etc don't have to go through that process because they are dealing with an original language personally I believe this language of a thing is even a bigger factor than amalgamation take nothern Nigeria for example many people love to talk about how unfortunate they are to have the highest population of poor people but if you look deeper you will be sorry for this guys rather than mock them first I will like to state that there is nothing like an hausa tribe it is just a language enforced by Dan fodio during his Islamic reformation today the north have to contend with like four languages The Arabic language the hausa language their local dialect and then English you are not expecting much from such people |

melodyogonna: I think I need to address this propaganda quote because a lot of people might actually believe it.
If the original person it is credited to is not just being mischievous, and actually tried to check a little bit of history, he would have realized Africans are less likely to kill themselves if armed with anything.
I'm going to focus on Europe, Asia, and Africa here. Because until 1492 I don't think anyone knew anything about the Americas, and Australian history does not interest me.
All the conflicts in history have primarily been - Asians and Europeans trying to destroy themselves. From the olden times, you have the Assyrians, Babylonians, Jews, Persians, etc fighting in the middle east. You have the Greeks and their city-states. Fighting for dominion against each other, then expanding past feuds among each when Alexander the king of Macedonia conquered much of the then known world. You have the Romans who came along and conquered much of Europe and parts of the middle east. You have the Muslims launching waves of attacks and establishing Islamic states. You have the Seljuk Turks, one of the Muslim dynasties, and later the Ottoman empire which took Constantinople from the Romans, with territories stretching from the Austrian border to the Persian empire. You have the Mongols that devasted lands from China to Rome. In China, you have dynasties that seemed to topple themselves after few centuries, and the Japanese that invaded of course. And these were major assaults. While Rome was weakening you have the Visigoths, Litungi, the Germanic tribes, Celts, etc carrying raids on each other. These barbarian tribes would go on to form kingdoms and principalities and Europe today, and they continued to fight each other until World War 2. For example, you have the Viking raids, France subduing most of Europe under emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, then subsequently destroying his army while trying to take Russia; Russia expanding so much it is still the biggest country to date; England and France, bitter rivals that have been waging campaigns against each other for centuries. I mean, we can sleep here if we try to go over who is most likely to destroy each other especially among Arabic states and European ones. In all these conflicts only Egypt has always been significantly involved because almost every new power almost always wants Egypt. Libyans and Nubians also provide mercenaries, but most of Africa has always only had minor conflicts.
As an aside I'd like to mention Carthage, I'm not exactly sure they're Africans but since they resided in present-day Tunisia I can call it an African state. Carthage was a regional power that rivaled Rome in its time. They fought some series of wars - known as the Punic Wars, with Rome the eventual winner, promptly destroying Carthage entirely. But during the Second Punic War a Carthagean general known as Hannibal Barca lead a military campaign into Rome, he beat the Romans so bad I still wonder how they managed to survive. I guess that's a major African conflict I would also like to add.
So you see why the quote is just unintelligent propaganda? the quote just doesn't make any sense our major problem is amalgamation not all this nonsense quote they are making up and down just to make Africans look inferior if we lack the capacity to think then how did we make most of those beautiful artworks that they stole from us when the Europeans came they were surprised to see that Benin is a planned state so they called it city of Benin and for killing ourselves I think this Europeans are more guilty in this area they have killed more people than any other group |

It would have been better if he expanded his factory in emene or even open another company in Nsukka since Nsukka don't have much factories apart from banks and hotels. it's one of the funny but foolish mentality many people have in igboland just because nsukka is referred to as a University town doesn't mean it is the only kind of investment that should be made there just like owerri, people refer to it as obodo oringo so the people decided that the only major investment they will be making will be in hotel and club |

Politics › Re: It Is Hilarious When The South Think They Are Developed by Humbrown23(m): 6:35pm On Jul 11, 2021 |
thebosstrevor1: It is hilarious when people in the south think they are developed or maybe they have changed the meaning of development, some of them even have the delusion that the north is the one holding them down. Like how
Maybe according to southerners, development means having lot of degrees, because i am still trying to see what these degrees have been translated to, like did it translate to higher standard of living in the South or high tech manufacturing or organized systems of doing things.
Isn't it funny that the south claim they are developed yet, they amount to one of the highest number of people using the northern borders to travel to libya en route spain or using our international airport to canada, how can you claim you are developed yet run away from your "developed" cities and " sophisticated way of life" to another country.
I am still trying to see what is developed in the south. Still checking.
Know this thing, it takes 20 years to train a generation, the north have learnt their lesson and have started focusing on education, In 20 years, the north will leave the south behind, do you know the amount of local and international scholarships northern state governments are giving to their students, while universities in the south are busy graduating yahoo boys with degrees, Northerners are sending students abroad to learn engineering, agriculture and other sciences which will be useful for northern development in the future, south universities are infested with yahoo boys and runs girls, even the southern politicans are not concerned.
Goodluck to Southern development but i am still looking for the so called southern development. Well op you have to understand that due to the federal system we practice which gives the FG absolute power the south cannot develop at the rate we need to, for example the people of imo does not want uzodinma but your uncle mallami forced him on them and besides that your clueless uncles mismanaged Nigeria for more than forty years in the name of millitary regime so you can't expect us to develop at the rate we should |

Business › Re: Sallah: Rams Everywhere, No Money To Buy by Humbrown23(m): 5:09pm On Jul 11, 2021 |
Beancounter93: Depends.
In the 1980's we had many of the same problems we have now.
Nigeria relies on oil, and has done so since the 1970's. Once oil prices go up the economy 'looks good' , once prices drop, the economy goes with it.(Read about the resource curse...then you will get why our economy is bad now, and was bad in the past. In the 1980's people used to groan about Nigerians eating from the dustbin! Where Buhari fails is in his response to the problem).
At any rate, even back then, people did not buy ram enmasse. Looking back at my growing up years, we bought ram on the average once a year, maybe once every 2 years (Christian family)...this is the pre- indomie generation era by the by.
The problem with Nigeria's food production really is that subsistence farming cannot feed all of us. We gat to modernize our agriculture...to a point where we can get much out of little. That's why the USA, despite having less than 4% of its people in farming, is a net food exporter...including of beef. okay now I get your point so you are trying to say the challenge is with our farming culture, well that's very true but I commented based on the title Rams everywhere but no money to buy that is to say the Rams are available but not very affordable |

Business › Re: Sallah: Rams Everywhere, No Money To Buy by Humbrown23(m): 4:53pm On Jul 11, 2021 |
You are very right in your opinion but the difference between the date you compared and the recent is affordability, back then no matter how high they hike the price of food stuffs people will still buy in very large quantities because of the economy but today the problem is not the price but the lack of money Beancounter93: Things are bad.
But the problem with this article is that I have been seeing variants of this article for decades now. Infact i recall seeing reports from the 1990s 2000s and even ten years ago on the same theme. Price of ram shooting up.
Once it is holiday time, prices of stuff always go up. The average ram seller is probably trying to make enough cash to balance his books for the year, because in one months time the buyers won't come like before.
Infact most Nigerians do not buy rams except when holidays come up. The only customers for rams the rest of the year are probably butchers and maybe hotels.
All in all if you want cheap meat then we have to.change the way we practice agriculture in this country. Our population is too big to be fed by subsistence farming methods. Time we started things like ranching and other modern large scale farming methods |

Bros calm down the insult is unnecessary, now the reason I mentioned abiola is because we attach too much unnecessary feeling to the people we adore, remember when tafawa balewa was murdered in 1966 it triggered a strong violent feeling in the north which eventually lead to the massacre of innocent igbos in the north and that did not change anything rather it made it worst, so firstly you have to understand that the federal government cannot murder kanu no matter what, because of kanu's status and popularity it will give the government a bad image secondly kanu is only great to you and carry values that only you and people like you value, outside that he is nothing but a small boy according to wike and a terrorist according to mallami and FG I rest my case Northernblood3: So, at this point you still think that Nnamdi Kanu is in the same shoe with Abiola or Azikiwe or Belewa?
It is quite unfortunately that some people does not really know the value this great man carries but yet, they will rush into IPOB Thread to spit nonsense like idiots they are |
