The U-23s missed out on the Olympics today. Well... I am surprised many are that stunned. To be fair, it was already "Mission Impossible" after that first game loss.

I clearly stated that our chances of making it Tokyo just got crazily slimmer. Fine, our win over Zambia did raise some hopes... But sadly the Mission Impossible was never to be made possible.

We move on.
We will surely move on by sacking the incompetent coach first.........

Bar the super eagle, all our national teams this year failed woefully!
Yet the coaches handling the teams are still in charge...
Danjuma that failed with our women u-20 was appointed to take charge of a crucial Olympic qualifier for our national team.
But when u criticize Pinnick administration, some over zealot fans of his would attack u...
it is so glaring.... that Dalung being against pinnick was even for the betterment of our football...

i just don't wanna say this...anymore, i think football management is better with the northerners

Was Imama also unlucky in CHAN and WAFU?? Fact is the man is a poor coach. Football is a results business.

Always select your best players, Imama never did and the result is there for all to see
i just can't believe a graduate will put up those words... i just can't believe it

The same Imama that tanked U20 was allowed to coach U23, what did anyone expect?

When half of the people that should be in the U23 are in Super Eagles, and a bunch of carpenters, farmers and Instagram Slay Kings were fielded as U23 players.
i said this earlier... to be honest with you, i am not surprised with this results at all......

Second half was poor. No game plan, just running and running. The dude that came in for Orji has pace but no team play
and someone, somewhere out of sentiments said we were unlucky huh

You don't know shishi. Nothing but beer parlor pundit talk. You Einstein's won't admit that this team only made a single mistake against ivory coast this enter tournament. If you know how to watch football it is clear that this team was simply unlucky.

Am I Pinnick? My job is to back my country no matter what. You should learn a thing or two about loyalty. All because Imama won one match you shamelessly ridicule the man until he fails all to say I told you so. Well done
Lol.... the bolded got me
THEY WERE UNLUCKY...case closed
i expect Imama to blame mother luck too

for your second paragraph... nobody is ridiculing imama nahhhhuh Dude have been doing poorly since the qualifiers, he does not act like a coach who knows what he is doing.....

Imama on the verge of another failure. I sounded the alarm long ago. Many were deceived by the comeback wins against Sudan and Libya.

What the hell is Faleye doing on this team? We could have gotten Okereke, Ejuke, Mukairu during the fifa window.
Lol..unfortunately pinnick will keep the failure of a coach just like the way aigbogun, manu garba were retained

3 minutes added time is a disgrace. Now the south Africans are simply wasting the rest of the time
the only disgrace is imama and his team okay...
i told you prior this tournament that this man has nothing to offer, instead you started shouting i was wishing the team failure..

hope it has dawn on u, that success is a product of hardwork and readiness and not luck,,, with an incompetent coach

your judgement is never to be taken seriously on this thread....
remember how you support Aigbogun, Manu Garba and even this failure despite loosing out on
the CHAN, WAFU Cup qualification

He that can't be faithful in little can and will never be faithful in much.

Pinnick should never, ever be allowed to manage anything sports in Naija
HE did well as a director of sports in Delta State... but dude lost himself as nff boss...
so ashamed of his antics..because he is a product of my school and department...

This year has really been a disappointing year for Naija football.

Except for AFCON bronze medal, the other teams just.......chai
credit to PINNICK...
i will personally blame him for under 23, the Chan Team and the Under 23.

manu garba should be blamed for the under 17, will blame pinnick if he repeats same error in next under 17.

PINNICK fits the role of a sport minister and not an FA chairman... dude is not clear cut for management

I ain't watching the match oo but looking at the comments posted here, I'm confused.

They say our MFs are balling yet others are saying Awoniyi isn't getting decent passes/crosses.

Someone must be lying then
this team reminds me of Aigbogun under 20 team... those guys called flying eagles that never flew in poland

Very lazy and clumsy. His work rate na zero
should we pull out the EZE scoop i don't see this guy breaking into the super eagles soon
for a player of his age..no drive, hunger or even enthusiasm, he even play like a 30 year old

awoniyi is isolated with no decent passes coming from our midfield and flanks. ndifreke na confirm 2nd coming of etebo cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

the coach should push nwakali upfront then deploy a pivot of okechukwu and ndifreke.

nwakali's creativity pay do the magic if pushed forward while ndifreke's work rate will help tighten the midfield
yeah you are right and moreover nwakali is ind of too lazy to defend

Imama is incompetent. I'm just hoping these ones can pull this off. After that, excuse the man and then invite the main Gs to play at the Olympics, Onyekuru et al.
he was formerly a goal keeper coach circumstances made him a coach
is like alloy agu becoming a coach nahhh just imagine how the team will look like huh
