I want Icon4 to be among the committee, much more than you think because I know he is more dedicated to it than anyone of us here but since the indirect democratic process was used to elect the electorate, the direct democratic process you want to introduce, can nologer be used or introduced at the end of the election.

However, since, the Liberty and Equality which are the elements of democracy were encouraged/practiced during the direct democratic process as agreed, there should be no room for magomago or sentiment afterwards.

Icons4 exercised these same liberty and equality as much as everyone here did and that was why he didn't object when 1,2,3 & 4 electorates nominated him during the election but unfortunately, he lost out and he accepted it in good faith and I hope he respects the decision of the electorates.

I really respected him for that because his actions promote true democracy. Unlike the wayo wayo one way you wan bring up. grin

Anyway, this has become a challenge for those who have become trustees (elected representative) to carry-out the idea and interest of the trustors (voters). Icons4 can act as the chief advisor and chief sponsor. grin

As Safari rightly suggested, let us begin by electing the chairman of the committee.

Oya, over to you to conduct the election. Let sentiment rest, oh...ha! grin

NB: Liberty connotes the opportunity to choose or participate in choosing while Equality the connotes that choice of a person or his opportunity to choose is as that of any other persons.
you're very cunning sha...

in a democracy the will of the majority prevails...
and also the majority have the right to exercise their rights at will..... but through a lawful means...

are there written statutes that voting into the committee and rescinding of decisions on committee members ought to follow in this thread? ??

if none, the majority over 22 nairalanders want icon to be included in the award committee and there is nothing you can do about it.....

you didn't read where some of us here cited that, they didn't get to understand the voting process thinking Icon and Andrew already had automatic admission into the committee board....

laws are made by men and same men in overwhelming majority can amend and re-enact same laws.....even a rigid constitution can be amended.

Abusule007:
Queens Park Rangers Star Eze Tells NFF Boss : I Want To Be The Captain Of Nigeria

Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick has assured Super Eagles fans that he's doing everything possible to make Queens Park Rangers young sensation Eberechi Eze commit his international future to Nigeria.

Eze trained with the Super Eagles before a cancelled friendly against Burkina Faso in March 2017 but since then his status has changed, having played seven friendly matches for England U20s.

And things will become more difficult for the Nigeria Football Federation in their attempt to lure the attacking midfielder if he goes ahead to make his competitive debut for the England U21 team this month as he has been handed a call-up for the Euro qualifier against Albania.

Pinnick is expected to travel to London in the coming weeks for talks with Eze and his camp and it is claimed that the player has informed the NFF boss he wants to captain the Super Eagles in future.

In an interview with Channels Television monitored by allnigeriasoccer.com on Monday morning, Pinnick provided an update on Eze, saying : ''I have been taking to him (Eze), I speak to him everyday, I speak to his father, I speak to everybody.

He's an excellent player, he loves this country that I can tell you.

''He is a young player, he wants to be given a bit of time but I talk to his dad, I talk to him, I'll meet them soon in London, we cannot allow such a talent to go.

''And he even told me jokingly, 'President I want to be the captain of Nigeria some day', I was so excited about that and said, 'Why not, you play like Jay-Jay, Jay-Jay was captain so you can be another captain'.

''He loves this country, I don't think we want to allow that talent to go''.

In 16 outings for Queens Park Rangers in the EFL Championship this season, Eze has been involved in 10 goals (6 goals, 4 assists).

Source: ANS.
what a confused lad....he has the opportunity now to make the team at such a tender age and surely rise up the ladder in no distance time as an international for the most populated black nation on earth...
but instead he opted for the English under 21....so bad.

anyway I must commend Pinnick for this even though I am not so happy with him...

Actually I never knew icon4s and Andrew were candidates to be voted too, I thought the two were picked automatically and the voting was to get a few others to join them in the parliament. It sounds funny some guys ( somehow, komkne, forgiveness et al) who have no clue what moves the initiator of this whole stuff has made to make this recognized outside this thread, are against having him in. I didn't understand the whole voting process and if the brain, sole organizer and financier of this award isnt in, then I don't see the need to continue with this, it is sure headed nowhere, Bkus I doubt anybody is gonna be as dedicated as Icons and sacrifice his time to get the plaques to the appropriate offices.

Hey guys if icons isn't in, then I ain't no party to this, my vote is null and avoid. I no be Una member so my vote shouldn't count.
me too...over 19 likes on the post calling for icon admission into the award committee board... I think that alone is an overwhelming majority...

should forgiveness, somehow and komekn still pick against...and icon refuse participate then I tender my earlier vote null and void...

because still remember how icons4 severely call up and chase komekn the last time who was the committee member to come in finish up with the nomination...the UK based football guru forgot that he was even a committee member and that there was responsibilities attached to the role.....

though not to dice anyone...some peeps sometimes just want to steer up controversy when not necessary.

I have said before that the league you play in is not a conclusive deduction of the quality of the club and or the players.

Ajax is in a league the Eredivisie which is rated much lower than the Turkish league. But in reality can any team in Turkey stand with Ajax we can go further can any team in the Portuguese league stand with Ajax currently.

I say this because there has been a lot of derogatory comments and degradation of the Scottish league. However, l feel that it has be taken in context.

Last week Celtic were able to beat Lazio and Rangers beat Porto. Statistically speaking that should really be impossible.

So if a player is doing well consistently standing out with top class performances. It should tell us something about quality. Aribo has proven that beyond all doubt.
I agree with this...reason why I rate Olayinka so highly...he is somehow a winger I believe has so much potentials and unique traits most of our wingers don't have... I rate him high...forget about the league..

but for such a player and club to give clubs like Bercelona and Inter a run for their money it shows there is something good about him and his teammates

That's not a merit based system but a discriminatory and excluding one. That's essentially favoritism.

It enthrones mediocrity so because your in Nigeria born and or bred you should be favoured.

this is one committee that I see it's end result to be well represented and have been so fun and lively since it's introduction so let's enjoy it...and give it out utmost support...

there is need for comparison Mr.

you compare and contrast... you can't say or link the corruption in European or non Africa countries to the ones prevalent in Africa...

you can't get a complete perfect system...but still that's not enough reason to rest on guise that being that corruption exist everywhere let's continue to tolerate ours....

only a man who aim not to make progress think that way....

I doubt the cadet team coaches in England would engage in the measure of corruption practised by same coaches in Nigeria....

you relieve them of their job and let them go sort themselves out... after a while they will back with another coaching job where there lies the possibility of not repeating previous mistakes...

that's why coaches are sacked in the epl and other leagues and later re-employed.

your thinking is flawed.... I think probably you're still very young... because it reflects in your words and reasoning.
