Joebie: Feminism is supposed to be about women fighting against unfair treatment by their male counterpart. But I'm afraid if you pay careful attention to what those in the forefront of their struggle are canvassing for you will realize that they want far more than that. I'm not afraid of feminists because I can easily differentiate them. hope you married a feminist God please help me never to marry a feminist not even in my dreams.... |

Anyone who is morally sound and bothers to have standards these days, to find a partner is hard because people are messed up. No sense of loyalty, no respect, nothing.
Even trust is lacking, because women and men are ready to pretend to be who you want until you marry them and see a different thing. no Dear...never give up... I have been hurt severally but none of those experiences can ever make me give up on finding the right one.... you see people cant pretend for long and also they're basic characters we need cultivate prior a relationship and even marriage self *humilty *tolerance *teachable marriage have his lesson to teach...meaning we must come into it as students willing to learn and grow in it..... trust me.... |

Blueelf: Issue of disrespect in African homes can also stem from how the man treats the Lady. Make we no lie, we men for Africa can be very difficult and make life difficult for African women.
You'll see one unemployed African man (lost his job maybe) expect his hardworking wife who leaves home by 6am and comes back by 8:30pm to cook and clean for him and the kids. Hell also forcefully demand sex from the tired woman (no small small dance to relieve her stress, nothing) and still expect her to be loving and submissive. No way, one day she gets fwd up and joins feminism movement. you're very right.... |

charlesemeka85: Madam u won't understand because you re a woman. Those women are hell on earth if u settle or mingle with any though they have the good ones.
In Africa it takes a good, patient and submissive woman to build a home and keep it together unlike what is obtainable in the African American comminitees.
Alot of them intentionally frustrates their men even to the extend of setting them up to be imprisoned so that they can be free coupled with the support they get from the government.
The worst of it all is they turn their kids against their fathers. Those pple matter no be here abeg I read somewhere.... where a white man once blamed one of their presidents who set up this support scheme...that many African Americans take advantage of now becoming baby mamas... they don't even wanna school or live a decent life any more |

safarigirl: Humility, everybody is looking for respect in thes world, not just men
If you respect a person, will they not respect you in return? Humility, do you know how many men in Nigeria, disrespect their wives constantly, by cheating? Is respect something only men deserve?
Honestly, make it make sense
So many Nigerian men want their wives to respect them, but they constantly disrespect their wives and allow others disrespect them.
And when a woman decides she doesn't want to be disrespected anymore, she is tagged a feminist. If una jam feminist, una go shock.
PS: The female lawyers I know that are married are very respectful, the women I met that didn't have any modicum of respect for their husbands were not even lawyers funny enough. One in particular, was a lecturer and the other one no even go school. both husband and wife deserve respect.... you made so much wisdom especially in your first 2 paragraph.... I once had a feminist friend who even kicked against the Bible and the existence of God, she called the Bible a misadrist book self.... since that day I became afraid of feminists most ladies who are lawyers i have come across are feminists save for one of your class mate... she knows you so well, she was even the one who told me you were at Yola(law school) but you see I don't know for others... me just want a woman who will honour the Bible with me as couples I don't need any man made principles to live by so all this chauvinist and feminism doctrines don't wanna hear them in my house at all..... issue of disrespect amongst couples is more of character and values upbringing but doctrines like this feminism and chauvinism theories still play some roles..... many feminists are bitter women, some can be loved into submission from my observation but still that word "feminism" scares me |

OMANBALA1: Only if they knew. You hardly see a white woman spewing that feminist nonsense. Go to the pages of feminists like Uzoamaka Aniuno and Nkechi Nwanze and see the sort of ignorant hogwash they write and mislead unsuspecting African girls. The case of African American women is closed because they are facing extinction but I am really concerned about African women...Nikky Minaj and Beyonce are their hero.
70% of African American women will never get married but they are popping out babies out of wedlock and raising them with bitterness...dangerous set if people mazi....God bless you for this. so true.... African Americans are the worst set of people in the US to relate with.... they have higher divorce rate and others.... this feminism thing...is being foolish... God forbid I will never pray for even my enemy to marry one..... they should marry themselves and make their own babies.... |

OMANBALA1: We need to understand that the reason behind Etebor's erratic decisions and movements in the midfield is because be is being played out of position. Nigga just runs about chasing every ball , steals and runs recklessly without positional awareness...just like a kid left alone in a candy store he grabs and licks at everything. I will not play Aribo in DM when Okechukwu and Agu are there. your love for that Dude has come to stay Aribo is a CM and he is very effective in an attacking set up and etebo better to defend a lead |

BecaciaBarbie: Wow! I could remember opening a thread here many years ago as a new member here, telling everyone about my virginity status...I was bashed so much, I quickly begged the mods to delete the thread of over 30 pages filled with insults. People are scared to talk about their status today, to avoid being mocked or making the other person feel bad...which I understand really, but the truth is keeping yourself till your wedding night is the wisest thing to do. Forget all the stories you read online, God is the ultimate and you shouldn't please man to displease God, neither should you please your flesh. Just imagine how it would feel like, having sex for the first time on your wedding night....you know the excitement to have sex without being scared of all those things that comes with pre-marital sex is out of this world. This life would be a much better place, if ladies closed their legs. well said.... the truth is the desire to please God at all times should be out utmost drive... we own faithfulness to God first, before any man... abstaining from sex till marriage is what we do to honour God and His Word..... I am glad at your words |

forgiveness: I don't know about what really happened to Sadiq Umar in Rangers but I think he has performed in top 10 leagues in Europe since Eredivise is among the top 10 leagues.

komekn: By the way i know a few people in football not everybody.
You have decided to be purposefully misleading and be far from balanced indeed completely biased. The commentary and facts concerning Sadiq are vast, in many cases he was ridiculed by the Rangers fans as well. But you didn’t look for facts but are using conjecture to justify the unjustifiable. You could not play the racism card because Ovie and quite a few black players were in the team.
Consider the bolded, so because someone is from my country, my tribe, my village i must believe his story without question, that’s the anchor on which our national problems rest, nepotism and double standard.
I chose to believe the facts and the pattern of events associated with those facts, not just the one-sided rantings of a disgruntled player that were made over 6 months ago. As with regards to there being no reply from the club, it’s very simple clubs will not give credence to nonsense by replying, he is essentially inconsequential to them.
But who is Sadiq Umar, 22 years old and has never played more than 18 games in a season of football over the past 6 years, his career has been stop start and stop start nothing outstanding? His career has been far from impressive. Until now at this lowly rate league and club that can’t even be competitive in the UEFA league, he is now outstanding. However, he has to prove that he can cut in a top 10 European league because for the past 6 years he has proven that he cannot, again easily substantiated.
I gave you two examples of failings and commentary about him as indicators to the much wider problem, he is not good enough for Rangers. Well before Sadiq had arrives in Scotland, I said and still say he will struggle in a physically intense league such as the England league 1, I said that donkeys ago. I actually thought there was something wrong with his feet because he was always falling over. I remember Tbaba1234 made the same observation.
Football is about opportunity and what you do with it, OPPORTUNITY is key and taking advantage of your opportunity is absolutely vital. Sadiq got his first start for Rangers a great opportunity to make a claim but he completely made a hash off it and totally disgraced himself by his dishounourable conduct diving in front of an open goal. Add to the fact that he was also poor in training his time was simply up.
When you come on loan to a club, " You are not guaranteed playing time, you absolutely have to earn it "
With regards to the club rankings it does not reflect the HERE and NOW in European football as it’s an aggregate of historical results not present results in the UEFA & Champions league. That’s why Arsenal is rated 9 and Liverpool 8, Arsenal that has done nothing in the past 10 years plus. Once again, your clutching at straws to present subjectivity as substantiated fact.
Google is your friend it doesn’t take much to get press reports and substantiate to have objectivity. But you went emotive and so did the vast majority of people here. The vast majority being sentiment and emotive led as well as, followed a statement that was self-birthed , self-justified, self-deduced with zero corroboration.
What’s disappointing is that some of you here are graduates, Masters and even PhD Holders. Where is your balance score card assessment? Where is your weighting of probabilities and or the judgement of the reasonable man? I find what we do here in attitude reflects in a micro context what happens in the nation at large. No wonder the nation is in such a mess.
29th September 2018, this is what Steven Gerrard said about him, I don’t think you can be any fairer than that see below.
