Or get him to start with the U-23.
I agree with you on this...but you know he has featured for England in age grade teams prior now...so I think he is not qualified for Nigeria age teams...until after he play for the super eagles...

correct me if I am wrong tho.

Like Dominic Iorfa.
nah.
Ilorfa is one of those players....
that should be given the same treatment I proposed for Tammy...

he should be allowed stay for a while...to see if he is truly interested in playing for the super eagles.
sometimes peps don't appreciate things that come easy.... if he really wanna play for the super eagles...he should keep up with his interest.
moreover currently he is not playing in a top team or league...to walk into the super eagles you've to prove that you're better than those currently in the team...
which I doubt from his play @ the moment.
hope he gets a better club and play more active football...I am sure rohr will consider him.

I still.maintain boss humility017 stands abt invitation on FB invitation (ie,go for those willing to play for us)

However u kinda paint a pic of us not having a future team of super eagles once dis phase of generation begins to retire, nope chief,we still get d U23-U15(future stars),and many unknown future home grown players we re yet to discover, d fact is many fb players will still decline our offer,no matter aw we make it attractive to dem,so d earlier we discover and nurture talents here,d better for us.my opinion though cool
at the same time not completely shutting the door on foreign born.
those willing to play for us should be considered and not to start begging or courting every dick and harry to come play for the super eagles.

years from now many of this foreign born players on their own will wanna play for Nigeria... take a look at Chelsea, arsenal and man city academy today...you can get at least 6 players each from these teams who are Nigerians.
you know England can not absolve all...so Nigeria will get some too..
so let's relax.. moreover in every team academy in England you may likely get at least 3 Nigeria kids.

Sentiment from the highest order. I remember how we walloped the same Iran in 2014 world cup. In current fifa rating which team is rated the better Team BTW Nigeria n morroco? Mahrez issue was a personal one so do not generalize. Prior to our 1st or 2nd match in 2004 afcon babayaro n one other player left the teams hotel for a night out in one of the clubs in the city they were based, I guess they re fb also since breaking camp rules is synanymous with fb players alone
you seems not to get my point...
the keyword is "commitment"

you don't get this cheap...not even from home groomed players.

it is however more pronounced with foreign born players.
that's my point.
these guys are coming from a nearly perfect systems...to a country where the basic things and supports are not even there it brings culture shock and tempt their patience.

you remember during the first 2 yrs of iwobi stay in the national team the long epistles you read on how football goes in Nigeria, the fans etc.... they're completely different from what obtainable in Europe.

My Post of the day
You just nailed it Sir.
With the setup in our national team, only the committed and determined players will "endure to the end"
thanks my brother...
we just have to make use of what we have for now...and be open to those willing to play for us.
there should be a get together camping sometimes in the UK to hear this players out...most of the British groomed players considering their conservative nature will not Voice out or declare like that... such camping will give them the opportunity to meet with the coach to tell their interest.

Oga player selection in the national team should be on merit not by mere sentiment so it's not a must every youth international must make it to the senior team. The apex team of the nation is meant for the very best that country can boast of and if all are fb so be it. So many African teams are taking the same route, the likes of civ.senegal, morroco etc are trying all they could to lure their lost sons abroad home so I see nothing bad if we do the same.
you make me laugh with your mention of Morocco.
even with all the knee begging and absorbing of foreign born players in their team...they could barely get a draw against Iran in the last world cup....

you seems to have forgotten how mahrez treated the Algeria team...he left camp
in the mid of their world cup qualifying trauma to go sign dotted lines in England which later failed.

I doubt if a fully home groomed Algerian player will do that.
you remember Mohammed abdultrika of Egypt.
these are commitments you don't get easily from foreign born players

even if he should calls...
he should be ignored for a while...
to see if he has interest playing for us...
those waiting time should be a test...
sometimes we don't value what comes so cheap...moreover in country football you need commitment to get the best from players...even with skills and technique... commitment keep players in national teams.

you all know the frustrations players like mikel, etebo and even Troost went through in the last Olympic... only a player with hunger and commitment will not retire country football after such.

we all are talking of Moses...someone like ighalo can never ply such route even if 3 agents give him such advise.

No mind them they want every tom dick and harry in the team
if you take a look at the English academy and club teams especially in lower tiers....
not just in England alone other countries inclusive.
you will lost count of players affiliated to Nigeria...
in arsenal alone...Nigeria have close to 6 young stars excluding iwobi... same with Chelsea and you know England' cannot absolve all of them...so some gonna call for us in future....let just keep using the players we have at the moment..

my only fear is that we take those that consider for us with levity and treat those making yanga as the ones we should run after.

I am automatically indignant when , FAIR-PLAY, TRANSPARENCY, OBJECTIVITY and a MERIT are put aside against FAVOURITISM and SUBJECTIVE PRESUMPTION.

What makes a player quality is consistency of top quality and or continuous above average performances and that component consistency, is intrinsically linked to time, you can not have one without the other.

Ajayi is 25, from the 2012 /2013 season until 2015 he never kicked a ball in senior first team league football that is near three years. He never played one game for Arsenal, Charlton or Cardiff, his first professional league game came at AFC Wimbledon in the 2015/16 in league two. However, despite not playing any first team football he was in the U20 Nigerian team in 2013. In 2016/17 he made it to the Championship with Rotherham playing about 17 games. 2017/18 they were relegated and Ajayi played that season in League one. Bring things up to date they got promoted and he is in the Championship 2018/19, he got MOTM award against Stoke, he is improving at 25 he is like many other players a late developer. How far can he go , time will tell.

Dominic Iorfa is 23, started playing as a teenager in 2013/14 season on loan to Shrewsbury in League one. From 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 he played near 100 games for wolves , winning best young player, MOTM. Playing for England youth teams and invited to train with the first team of England. He was an established player in Wolves numerous offers from EPL sides rejected in now we know misplaced loyalty.

Before the summer of 2017 he made clear commitment to the SE he even had a positive meeting with Rohr to this effect, he was at his peak, everything was going well. He was waiting for the official call up that never materialised to date.

2017 Super Agent Mendes had taken control by proxy resulting in a FA probe that couldnt meet the burden of legal proof to make a substansive case against Wolves and Mendes, but its an open secret - https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11699/11561273/wolves-boss-nuno-espirito-santo-brushes-off-football-leaks-claims-about-jorge-mendes-relationship

He brought in a new manager Nuno Santos, and he systematically began to dispose of players not within the business model. Wolves currently has more Portuguese players than Benfica and Porto. That should tell you something. Dominic arrived 2017//18 before he had kicked a ball he was frozen out no explanation. Very hurriedly had to find another club hence Ipswich Town, early 2018 he got injured so for the 2017/18 season he played about 24 games.

2018/19, things have gone so bad in a totally unprecedented move never seen before unflavoured first team players were not allowed to train with the first or the U23. However, Dominic has now been allowed back in but only with the U23.

Strikers can have dry patches and are deemed to loose form. However, defenders are not prone to loosing form so dramatically. You cant have played football as defender played consistently at a top performing and with continuous improvement then all of a sudden you are bad or not good enough. This is not a football decision but one based on the politics of football business.

Sakho was left out of the Liverpool Squad after disputes with Klopp and didn't play for quite a few months before he went to Palace and immediately changed their season. His pedigree didn't change or quality drop just the opportunity to play at Liverpool. I see similarities with Iorfa that is not a double standard.

Now the question is double standard and hypocrisy.

Ajayi has played 35 games in the championship over two seasons not consecutive and is two years older largely been anonymous compared to Dominic who has played 110 games in the Championship over four consecutive seasons that is long term top level consistency. Consistency that has seen him playing for England at all youth levels.

So who is better , on paper and statistically there is no debatehuhBut that's not the most pertinent question in reality, but rather why is one been DENIED OPPORTUNITY huh and who is more DESERVING of OPPORTUNITY huh huh We will not know how good he is until he is given OPPORTUNITY, competition creates quality it doesn't diminish it. I remember Danny Shittu blatantly denied opportunity at Bolton for two seasons , leaves and was voted best Defender in the Championship he was also exceptional for Nigeria.

Now you should look in the mirror, the finger you pointed has many more fingers pointing back at you, one of them is called bigotry.

Dont presume to know what any man is thinking it is birthed out of conceit. This talk about Iorfa started well before anybody knew the name Ajayi. It started in comparison to the German trio of defenders not interested in playing for Nigeria but Rohr still keeps requesting for. At the same time as ignoring Dominic.
are you agent to Dominic llorfa?
because just don't understand....you rarely market exceptional players save for the likes of solanke, llorfa , and onyedinma.
this are players not even good enough for the super eagles under 23 team let alone the super eagles....
please relax..

You missed the point my friend. In a nutshell Rohr meant to say that good local players don't remain local players for very long when they start getting games with the national team. And when such players inevitably move abroad, some people continue asking for other local players!

So the question is should he dump those players who were local players and then moved abroad simply because of the need to keep having local players in the team? If he does so it would be an aimless and never ending cycle demonstrating extreme stupidity.
God bless you....
you nailed it.
and the painful thing many end up in obscure leagues..after they've sojourn like journey man they return back to the npfl to come relaunch their dying careers.

our football won't grow that way....

This is not just an open secret but more or less established fact.

One of the things I have found with consistent regularity on this particular thread. Is the refusal to accept plain truths and facts.

When you talk about age cheating people scream and shout Hatred and prejudice. As if it's not rampant infact it's more than rampant it is in every facet of life across Nigeria and established practice. But we pretend or prefer to live in deceptive delusion.

The purpose for every NPFL player ultimately is to get to Europe by any means necessary. Whatever it takes.

That proposition creates opportunity for people like Salisu to manipulate the situation for personal gain. I personally know agents who had some incredible influence on players selection in the past. NFF has been corrupt has it all changed because Buhari has comehuh ❓ Does a Leopard change it spots.

Integrity is not often served as a regular meal on the Nigerian dinner table. By the way I have worked in Nigeria before and I talk from personal painful experience.

Because the NPFL has not created a structure that is transparent and equitable that creates opportunity for our players to be nurtured and developed to be able to be competitive on the global stage.

European football is just as bad, that's where the corruption was birthed.
I agree with you...
but please let's leave matters of corruption allegation for now.

what rohr said up there happens to true and it is something that need to be addressed in our local leagues....

So because a player is in the national team he should lack ambition? Why didn't Ekong stay in Gent or Norway. The national team makes it easier to sell every player. That is why scout show up at matches so is this really news? The coach should stop being lazy and search for players. Just like he said Nosa was the best Nigerian player in Israel so he didn't need John Ogu now all of a sudden he can't drop him. I rather he say the competition isn't good enough than to come up with this mess because it just doesn't add up. Who in the Super Eagles won't want to go to a better club?
so you call some obscure leagues in eastern Europe a better club....

you're funny...or rather trying to hide away from the truth.
you and I know...that the prime season why many npfl clubs and management are calling for the inclusion of home based players in rohr project is not because they love see them play perse but rather makes it easy for them to package these players to any club abroad...even if it has to be Kazakhstan, finland or vietnam...they don't mind
provided they will cool cash from the deals...

after they've successfully package some they begin to cry for the call ups of others so as to make as much proceeds they can for these player sales (player-agent slavery).

so bro...though I may not like rohr but this utterance are spot on.
