The Nigerian international will potentially miss five league games for the Neapolitans next season following the release of the 2021/2022 Serie A fixtures


The fixtures for next season’s Serie A were released on Wednesday, with the opening round pitting Napoli against Venezia, which will see Osimhen take on Tyronne Ebuehi.

Osimhen is expected to be included in Nigeria’s squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The biennial competition holds between January 9-February 6, and that could see Osimhen miss five games if the Super Eagles go all the way...

VfL Wolfsburg are a step away from landing Manchester City striker Lukas Nmecha.

The Germany U21 international is set to move to Wolfsburg for a fee of €10m.

Kicker says Nmecha and VfL have already agreed personal terms and Wolfsburg are now in talks With City over a final price.

Nmecha had a previous loan spell with Wolves during the 2019/20 season. He spent last term with Vincent Kompany's Anderlecht.

The 22 year-old won the U21 Euros this summer with Germany, finishing the tournament leading goalscorer.

I kind of get humility's point. Apart from Akpoborie I don't remember too many Nigerian players especially strikers who have done well in the Bundesliga. However as you rightly noted if offers are not coming in from French teams then there's nothing he can do but make do with the cards he has been dealt. I think Taiwo really needs a patient coach who will try and bring out his best footballing traits.

As it is now there aren’t offers from the French league for Taiwo and there are German league offers which is far far better than ekuke championship

Bundesliga is already a familiar territory. He'd better go there. Am not a party to that championship thing. Before u know it, the player will find himself in league one.

Tammy is a fine player and will add depth to the crop of players we parade, but given the manner at which we begged him, will he be willing to give his best just as Osimhers does.

It's baffling but till tomorrow I don't know why he could not cut it in Monaco. He has everything to succeed. Dribbling skills, assist, goals etc. He even has end product and his stats are good.
I believe he can make it in an average team in a top 5 league. Teams like Lorient, Torino, osaduna etc.
He needs to go to a higher level. His talent will always attract the attention of teams in top 5 league but the question is can he make it there?

Young defender Caleb Okoli has gone on a season-long loan to US Cremonense in Serie A from Atalanta in the Italian top flight.

The 19-year-old central defender, who was born in Italy but also holds Nigerian nationality, also played on loan at SPAL last season.


His loan spells are expected to allow him enjoy more game time and gain experience.

His contract with Atalanta is till 2024.

If I was Rohr I will choose Alhassan yusuy over him. He is a fast rising talent who just moved to Royal Antwerp.
Onazi is still good but the Lithuanian league is too obscure. I doubt if the onazi of 2013/14 can return. That injury he suffered against France affected him badly. I mean he was bossing a midfield that had Pogba. Matuidu was very wicked and should have been sent off and banned.
Again I wonder if the onazi of Lazio can return but for now I will prefer Alhassan yusuf and other younger options.
