Am actually short of word cos I expect more intellectually quite unfortunate though.

If we are to go by this logic then perphaps Nigeria is the richest country in the world grin cos the richest man in Africa is a Nigerian, the richest pastor et al like...most Nigerian ain't talking about wealth they actually begging the govt for an enabling society they can showcase talent and skills...Sam Jain founder of fare portal started his company with $4000 sourced from credit card now worth multi billion dollars...you think an average Nigerian doesn't have a buisness concept that's will worth billions of naira in the nearest future common where are they going to see the capital to start off...do you know the hell an average Nigerian face before he could get a bank loan yet he will pay ridiculous interest at the end of the day, during the covid 19 that there were lock down there were alot loans they were give to the USA citizen to get back on their feet and at the moment the loan is still going on and people are benefiting I bet you won't wanna to know how many buisness that has ruin as a result of covid 19 in Nigeria what are the government provision for this; nothing!!! absolute nothing!!!...am talking about finances here don't let me tell how lack of basic infrastructure will make you run down don't let me talk about electricity, bad road, security cos it gonna be a long topic...the mumu man even mentioned flutterwaves.. flutterwaves is owned by agboola a Nigerian abroad who worked for years with PayPal before establishing his own company.

Moral lesson is I think it is very stupid to generalize cos have been to places in Nigeria that have 23 hours power supply and also been to places that there is no even an an hour power supply most people he mentioned are the few people making it big and most are not made in Nigeria I mean what's the essence of a country that I can't make it without traveling out to source for capital that's stupid and here you are celebrating mediocrity...yea I don't need to tell you how many Nigerian that are living in abject poverty...an average Nigeria can't even afford three squares meal...don't make me talk about security, health grin abegiii no talk this rubbish outside ohhhh
Don't mind him if Nigeria was so good the way he mentioned...then why did he moved to the US

Some people because they're privileged they think others are lazy.

In Nigeria the risk of doing business is on the high side, Nigeria has the highest number of female entrepreneurs in the world saw it on historyville posts and also one of the highest number of entrepreneurs in the world but rarely do this business survive because of the cost of doing business, Prior starting business in Nigeria you've to think of providing your own electricity, water supply, security etc Tony Elumelu once said that Nigeria Small and medium scale enterprises pay up to 48 different kinds of taxes annually...taxes upon taxes with nothing to show for it. The interest rate is way over 25% and in some cases you still scrabble for it and even ditch out certain percentages to the corrupt banks MD otherwise there won't be loan for you. We shouldn't even talkabout the fluctuating exchange rate

Yesterday i read the VP talking on Forbes on how Nigeria attracted 10B US dollars worth of investment within the last one year I just laugh so much lies from a government that even banned Twitter without thinking of it's repercussions on Nigerians business
cc: fabyom
Well so many negative things on Nigeri a

My badt Nigeria has one of the highest number of road accidents in the world not necessarily the highest in the world

No am not saying he shouldn't be invited, but if he's invited, he shouldn't be played out of position. Especially because someone already clamored for him to replace Etebo who will also be playing in the EPL.
Even if he replace etebo as a CM he will do better than etebo so no need to fear as regard that for now we have got Aribo ahead of etebo

I don't want to derail this thread. This space is for football.

I'll round this one up by telling you that the standard of living in Cape Verde is much better in Nigeria. I have been to multiple cities in both countries and I have also read all the stuff you can read on the net just like the one you have quoted. I didn't say it was a rich country, it is however a fully functional one. You asked if I had been to the countries I listed that's why I attached pics as proof.

Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world and nothing works there as it should, from sports to education to politics to the police etc etc If you don't believe me just google poverty capital of the world and see what comes up. I'll give you a hint, it won't be Cape Verde.

I have been to over 50 countries and yet to see one as chaotic as Nigeria...okay maybe Benin Republic comes close. cheesy

It's still my county though. Just stating facts.
Some of us here have never been to the core north to see naked and stalked poverty at sway

The Niger Delta region has the 3rd largest oil wells in the world and at the same time the poorest oil producing region in the world

Nigeria is credited to have the highest infant mortality rates in the world, has records of more road crashes than any where else in the world. Over 70% of Nigerians earn less than 1 Dollar per day and thats a large number from a population of 211M people

The standard of living in Nigeria is abysmal it is gross delusional to say Nigeria is doing better than Cape Verde that is wasting no time to even deport nigerians on sight in their country.

we are talking about Nigeria so limit your answers to within Nigeria and organisations in Nigeria.. does the Chinese president speak englishhuh

If you're important to them they will look for an interpreter or give you places where you can attend language class...

Bale has been in Real Madrid for years and he still can't speak spanish fluently according to the media..

lets stop here...
Talk what you know ooo i work in a multinational coy so my thinking is different from yours.

Anyone that thinks broad now the world is a global village you dont just do business in Nigeria anymore many nigerians are working in Google, UN (currently a nigeria is the deputy secretary general),ADB,World Bank,FAO,FHi360,German corporation,SHELL etc the president of chinese hears English and moreover Chinese is China official language and one of the 5 UN Security council official language spoken, putin speaks English, many world leaders speaks and communicate in English, the more language you can speak the easier your chances on getting a job or opportunities. It is in Nigeria and africa we elect dumb presidents that cant speak any other official language beside English

you put "English, french, Spanish, Chinese or Portuguese" above igbo, yoruba, hausa, swahili, zulu, xhosa, akan just highlights how you reason....
When you get to UN security council or FIFA, Specialised UN Agencies, ADB, OAU,OPEC etc speak hausa and Yoruba for them okay

You seems not to understand I am a recruiter thats why i know folks who are bilingual especially competent in English and other world languages are seriously preferred over those that speak just English except they possess some special skills for multinational coys

Speaking your local dialect shouldn't stop you from been smart to know at least the official language spoken in your country because thats the language mainly used in global stage

eng:lish is not an indigenous language in Nigeria so its not important that people speak engl:ish...

most of what you mention affects northern Nigeria only and not southern Nigeria.. Nigeria can never have stable electricity due to people who want to ensure a united Nigeria..

under-development, religion and poverty are tools for controlling people to ensure Nigerians remain subservient.... that's why they can shoot live bullets at protesters and the U:N and other world organ:isations won't say anything or would pretend to do something ( like they did during en:ds:ars ) when in reality they are the ones who sanctioned the shooting of the protesters..
The way the world is going right now
Knowing how to speak English, french, Spanish, Chinese or Portuguese is sacrasaunt. Ths official language of Nigeria is English, it is a requirement for recruitment in both government and privateinstitutions so not knowing how to speak English in a country where English is the official language is ridiculous and no brainer

one of the main reasons GEJ lost the elections is terr:orist expl:osions happening in Abuja... If b:uhari hands over to a southerner that terr:orism is going to be back in full force.. remember they ( northerners and northern politicians ) said they will make GEJ's tenure ungovernable...

If buha:ri hands over to a southerner all they have to do is what they did during GEJ's tenure with the help of the tin:ubu and some south westerner's.. If a southerner is president the north just has to get another southern tribe to protest against the southerner while also carrying out terr:orist explo:sions and att:acks in some places and also the help of foreign cable news channel to help blow it out of imagination.

In summary, even if the person is better than buha:ri some people will ensure Nigeria is ungovernable and you guys will be back ignorantly saying "I told you so" instead of "they are making this tenure ungovernable"...
God bless you bro
You nailed it

Remember excepts from a northern elder after Gej victory in 2011 that they'll frustrate him out and make the country ungovernable for him

Even Buhari never accepted the result of that election that seriously made many of his supporters to start the post election violence and about 11 youth corpers were killed... immediately after that election boko haram started bomb churches every Sun day and the country was now something else

Now we have got another desperadoin ATIKU that wanna rule by all means...just feed up

It's not about the citizens voting,

It's about the inner circle deciding who to rule
The citizens do vote many nigerians vote base on sentiments..... no matter how good a man from edo state is for example he can never be president of Nigeria because of his tribe except by coincidence like what happened with Jonathan. Your tribal and religion affliation play a large rule on who become a governor or president and even in some states in the east if you're not a catholic or Anglican you may never win the governorship election

Nigerians are always thinking that they are in the worst situations possible. Some of those countries he mentioned hardly even have existing tarred roads outside their capital. They will just see an urban area of less than 500 km2 online and believe that the entire country looks like that.
It seems you've not gone abroad i mean africa countrjes

Because you should know that countries like Seychelles,Mauritius, South africa,Tunisia, Senegal, Egypt, Bostwana are doing way better than Nigeria in political, infrastructural, economic, human development so whats the point u argue that Nigeri a is doing better than this countries? We don't even have stable electricity, terrorism swells currently have the 3rd and 4th deadliest terrorism group in the world in our country

When it comes to percentage of poor people in the world, minimum wage, highest infant mortality rate, highest road accidents index, terrorism and failed state index we have it more than them and even one of the highest in the world

Early enough in my life, I told myself that I won't be influenced by the opinions of a person, only facts. I've listened to NK severally and I've also listened to every Buhari interview since he became president. I fact check all claims by all of them and never allow any man's opinion influence me whether pastor, activist, politician. All of them lie a lot and if you don't have another perspective on the matter, you will be deceived and manipulated.

I should have ignored Chris, but I responded to him because all those statements he was making, might just breed Igbo hate and antagonism on some people here. He will now come back after six months to say that Igbo players are hated here, not knowing that he's the cause.
