Ismaila Raji, a car wash attendant, has owned up to killing 7 people, including students of Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, Oyo State, and drying them with chemicals.

The suspect was arrested for the third time, on April 20, 2018, at Olorunsogo, while trying to dispose the body of his latest victim, Rasaki Musibau, who he allegedly strangled inside the deceased’s home.

It was gathered that that Raji had twice been arrested for being in possession of human skeletons at the University of Ibadan’s 2nd gate and along Eleyele Road.

He was said to have confessed that a popular businessman in Ibadan contracted him and his accomplices- Sunday, Kella, Awilo, Omo Ola, ID Noble.

According to him: “I have killed seven other people so far and they are mostly students of Lagelu Grammar School. I was offered N500, 000 by a bakery owner to be killing people.

My colleagues and I usually sat around the school’s premises. That is where we usually capture our victims.“

Tragedy was averted after a speeding driver almost rammed into a residential building yesterday in Delta state.

The driver who was allegedly drunk, was said to be on top speed before he lost control of the vehicle and crashed near the building.

No casualties were recorded in the accident which left residents in shock.

On Friday 19 April, 2019, Faye Mooney, a Mercy Corps team member working in Nigeria, was killed when gunmen stormed Kadurucastle, a vacation resort in Kaduna State, where she was visiting on holiday.

A Nigerian man was also killed in the incident, while three other tourists were abducted. Faye was working as a communications specialist for aid group, Mercy Corps, and was one of 12 tourists visiting Kaduru castle from Lagos.

Two friends cheated death on Sunday April 21, 2019 when their car somersaulted twice after hitting a pole on Berger bridge near Mabushi in Abuja.

An eyewitness who was about to cross the road, said he saw the car suddenly swerve away from the road, before hitting the pole and burst into flames upon impact.

However, help came the way of the victims as car owners and passers-by rushed to quench the burning vehicle with water and fire extinguishers.

Channels TV observed that the driver who sustained several burns was trapped for hours, while the second passenger in the front seat, who jumped out immediately sustained minor injuries on the arm.

Bystanders were seen in anguish for the victims as rescue operations went on, while also supplying the volunteer rescue teams with several bags of water.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), was on ground to take the victims to the hospital.

Akhigbe Nuel Odiase, a Law graduate of AAU, has died after falling from a moving Danfo bus along the LASU -Isheri road in Lagos.

The incident happened around 9:45pm on Monday and he was immediately rushed to the Alimosho General hospital, Igando, where he was referred to LASUTH. However, he died hours later.

A boy was caught at night stealing a lady's bag and phone while she was trying to board a bus.

The boy was caught by one of the passengers who raise an alarm that drew the attention of the bus driver, the lady passengers and passerby.

He was beaten mercilessly by the passengers who asked him to show them were he hide the bag after recovery the stolen phone from him.

There was confusion, yesterday, in Okpe, Delta State, as an aggrieved policeman destroyed the phone of a Delta State University student, for being too expensive for his level.

The bus conveying the students had been stopped for a normal stop and search operation, but he extended the search to the phones of the passengers, only to see one of them using an iPhone.

The visibly angry officer then asked him for the cost of the phone, to which the student replied by saying it costs N200k, prompting the officer to retort that despite being in service for close to 14 years, he can’t still afford such, meaning that the boy is into something illegal.

The matter dragged for a very long time and the students were prevented from proceeding on the trip with the other passengers. The highlight of the confrontation was, however, when the officer angrily slapped the boy and smashed his phone on the ground.
