Agriculture › Akwa Ibom Still Planning Importation Of Cows by Hunchogee(op): 12:53pm On May 30, 2020
Shocker !!!
During the commissioning of the ultra modern Isolation / Testing medical edifice in Uruan L.G.A, Akwa Ibom state. I decided to make a trip to the Ibom propose 40hectares of land for the rearing of the 2000 Mexico cows that was to be imported. At first I felt it was an audio project untill I visited the site for the project.
I observe that the had already started planting the artificial grass for the cows and the grass as grown covering the large part of the land. Tho security operatives didn't allow me and my friends entry since we were not journalist to get into the land but I was so shock because I felt it was an audio project. No wonder the state had already banned importation of livestocks to the state using Covid19 as an excuse to actuallize their target of breeding cows in the state. From a reliable source a community man working in that grass field said the cows will get to the state by August ending. If this project come to actualization it will be one of the best numerous projects perform by this administration.

Lalaclata na good news ooo take am go front page your guy is back.

From a business perspective it is unlikely to succeed because it is not a purely business decision.
A pure business decision would focus on the most lucrative routes.
This is likely to focus on routes to Uyo which is good from a development perspective but business wise I am not convinced.

It might have been better to focus on servicing oil companies like Mobil
Must you write nonsense...Is Exxommobil a services company. Pls if hate as clown your brain just stay off ok . Mobil is an operator for NNPC is a producing company not services ok

I don't think there's much money in aviation in Nigeria. Poor people might out number middle class 10:1 or more.

Nigerians will rather take an 8 hours bus trip to Lagos than take a 1 hour flight.

Akwa Ibom governments starting with Akpabio have tried in term of Infrastructures.

There is need to focus on human capital development of their people and the culture of dehumanizing children as witches and wizards

Why will your people be the one doing houseboys and girls all over the place.

The State have the resources as the Highest paid State in Federation Allocation. Invest in education and skills acquisition, this is what will benefit all Ibomites in the long run.
I think your still leaving in the 60s wakeup and used your internet don't be misinformed or short sighted ok

A smart governor doesn't have to invest significant state funds on projects like this. Simply invite investors, give them free land, give them strict deadlines to meet and in 3 to 5 years you will see significant developments and job creation in that state.

By providing free land, the state is now a stakeholder in all these businesses at no additional cost to the state. All the state government will then do is to provide security and collect annual taxes.

Since the land was owned by a community, these taxes can be used to provide monthly stipends for each family in that community, scholarships for young people, free electricity for the community, etc.

The funds that would have been spent on that project can now be used to equip hospitals and schools, improve workers' benefits, provide free education, subsidized public housing etc.

Our State governments really need to start thinking and acting like entrepreneurs.
Pls you need to do research on its achievements especially commence and industrialisation...udom as built 15 industries in the state ...pls do more research on it
