can you show us photos of ogwashi ukwu? This aren't nairaland pictures, nairaland doesn't own pictures, Google ibeno on the internet or go there yourself. That being said we Akwa ibomites have dropped photos of different parts our states not just uyo to prove our point, can you show us photos of warri, asaba, ogwashi uwku etc so we can take u serious.

Well if you prefer urban jungles as a criteria. As for me Uyo is the best city in Nigeria. It is clean and safe. Abuja no near Uyo

Akwa Ibom any day for me. The place is serene, clean and developing at a slow and steady pace. And FYI, land in Uyo axis is at least 7 million and can go for as much as 50million.

Uyo and Akwa Ibom is the best. I am not from there but the truth be told.

Rivers and Delta have serious security issues and they are basically composed of slums. PH is surronded by slums, same with Warri, Asaba.

I am from Delta and I will tell you that Akwa Ibom is far better in every indices than any other state in the Niger Delta. Ikot-Ekpene is a beautiful town, so also Eket. In between they have very beautiful and serene towns and villages. Akwa Ibom struck a balance between modernity and nature.

Akwa ibom state is changing fast, but they lack good housing and new towns.

I think you're spot on.

Rivers State houses Port-hacourt, the oil capital of Nigeria. Some other parts of the state are also moderately developed.

Delta comes second because it has the most developed cities such as Asaba, Warri, Ugheli, Sapele, Agbor etc.

Third of course is Akwa Ibom with Uyo and Eket holding it down.

Edo state of course has Benin, Auchi etc.

Cross River has Calabar as well as other small towns.

And then Bayelsa.

River state is the most development state in South south, they've the best infrastructures and good standard of living compared to the rest.

Secondly is delta state

Third is akwa ibom state

Fourth is Edo state

Fifth is cross river state

Sixth is bayelsa state State

I am drawing your attention to what is happening in Cross River State to Akwa ibom students and lectures. Akwa ibom students and lectures working in the state are facing serious prejudice and victimization by the indigenes of the state on the bases that they are not from there. I and my friends were victimized by their indigenes, while schooling there, simply because according to them, that wasn't our state of origin. They are busy condemning the action of the Minneapolis policemen, when even they are doing similar things to their south south siblings. If you think its a lie, I have proof and much more...Just recently a woman married to a bonafide indigene of the state is about to loose her merit...

Sometime ago, Akwa ibom indigenes were all sacked from Cross River State sectors on the bases of their origin not being from there, even Akwa ibom women who had been married to Cross Riverian men were also sacked.Our then Governor, Gov. God'swill Akpabio absolved most of them into the state sector.
You can verify this information, if you doubt it.
I want to ask you my respectable nairalanders, is this right?

Uyo the capital of the oil-rich state of akwa-ibom has been enmesh in darkness for over a week now. AlI the street lights which were powered by diesel generators have been down. darkness has overtaken the once beautiful city . I used this medium to appeal to relevant stakeholders to beg the state government which is undoubtably aware of this ugly incidence to save the state from shame and make provisions for restoration as this situation can lead to increase in criminality and avoidable road accidents, Thank you.

Visited 4 cities in one month after my youth service to decide which one to live in:
Lagos, Abuja, Akwa Ibom and Rivers State.
Lagos...nope
Abuja...nope
Rivers state (port Harcourt precisely)...nope
Akwa Ibom was the only state that checked more items in my list.

Ended up with neither of the states

If you're a calm person, run away from lagos. Na mad people full there
